Another really nice day in SE NH.  Once again, last night's low was several degrees below predicted, but That's A Good Thing.

I did start the pick-up/put-away in the train room.  In particular, I went back and sorted through the big pile of detail parts and kits that I had set aside for the Machine Shop.  Now I need to figure out how to organize them in storage, but getting that pile of stuff off the floor will be good.  I'm always reminded of my father quoting his grandmother, "If you can't find it, you might as well not have it in the first place."

Has anyone else seen the bug on eBay where you add something to your cart, but then you can't remove it?

Good morning Curt, Rick, ACLTom, Karl, Larry, Dave and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have fun experimenting with the oil paints.

Rick, enjoy your hike.

Tom, hope you are feeling better, have fun in the train shed.

Karl, hope a lot of progress was made in the train room yesterday.

Larry, enjoy your day.

Dave, pick-up/put-away is always an interesting chore, the pick-up is the easy part, it's the put-away that takes all the time.

Weather here is 20c (68f) and overcast with rain in the forecast this afternoon.  Worked till 10:30 last night so no modeling was accomplished and will probably work tonight and most of tomorrow too, I'm guessing this is payback for having a 4-day weekend last weekend.  :o  I'm hoping to get everything that needs to be done for work tomorrow so that I get the rest of the weekend to myself.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning crew,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee and breakfast.  Good luck with the oil paints.

Rick, hope the hike was a good one.

TomACL, the train room sounds like a good place to spend the afternoon.

Karl, glad you had basement time.

Larry, winter prep sounds good. Are you new porches winterized, too?

Dave, I agree on organizing stuff.  Your Dad's words were spot on.

Ron, good luck accomplishing your work tasks.  Free weekends are nice!

Jerry, hope your day was restful and fun.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning with a forecast of 87°F.  Cooler weather is in store next week.  I started the morning by knocking a full jar of BBQ sauce off the shelf onto the pantry floor.  It was a mess and killed my morning interests. It was my favorite, Stubbs BBQ.  I am smoking a pork roast this weekend and had planned to use it.  I guess I'll have to go to the store.

I finished printing some tools and parts for Sharon's painting.  Also, reprinted some of the details for the lodge. Not sure what is in store this afternoon.  Cowboys tonight.

Have fun,
mike

Good afternoon from Wisconsin. The cool down hit hard this morning as at 4am it was 40f degrees. The high might get to 63. Supposedly that 63 might be the highest temperature until Tuesday.

Volleyball on campus tonight, maybe. The Terry replacements are busy tonight and the grandkids can't because school started this week! I don't want to go alone.

Somebody wrote "no ambition". That's the way I feel about MY personal trains and layout! The commission work though I'm ok with. At 11:30pm yesterday I finished clear coating 6 diesels. This morning I sent off pictures for 4 more diesels after adding a slightly heavier weathering to them that was requested Tuesday. I'd like to get all 10 billed tomorrow if he approves those final 4 today.

Not sure what happened but my IPadPro is telling me I cannot play the YouTube content videos I subscribe to. I use DuckDuckGo as my browser and never have had issues like this since I came home Saturday. I left a message for the family geek and computer guru, the son!

Be well

Good morning everyone.

Sedro Woolley, WA weather: Widespread haze. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 79.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
A breakfast casserole for breakfast today made with eggs, sausage, and cheese.

TomO, how was last nights game?

Terry, good morning.

Mike, sorry about the BBQ sauce.
Must of made a terrible mess.

Karl, that's some excellent scenery.

Jerry, any bench news?

Ron, hope you didn't have to work so late yesterday.

Dave, I never go on eBay, so I haven't seen the bug.  ;D

Larry, hope there wasn't any storm damage.

ACLTom, hope you're feeling much better today.

Curt, how'd the oil painting go?

Philip, what's new?

Dale, haven't heard from you in a while.

I did my hike yesterday on the Cascade Pass and Sahale Arm Trail.
12.14 miles and 3,353' of EG. (When I post these numbers that the total for the entire hike.)
Finally saw a bear!!!
I've seen all kinds of wildlife on my hikes but never a bear.
I was very excited when I saw a huge black bear yesterday munching on blueberries.
Hiking the gym this morning then not sure what else I'm doing.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Nice bear video. Have fun in the gym.

Yesterday I finished the boiler kit. I still need to weather the roof vents but they're in place.
After daily chores I need to check fluids and tires on the wife's van. What makes it a pain is the spare tire has the same type of stowage as a pickup.
MOH and daughter will be in Sarasota this weekend for a sewing event and next Wednesday or Thursday MOH is on her way to OH with her BFF to sell crafts at a skunk event. She'll be gone 6 days.
Yesterday afternoon I had to take Dad to the ER for an infection on his leg that he did nothing about until I saw it. The same damn thing put him in the hospital for 5 days last year with Sepsis. You would think he would of learned from that. :-X  Very frustrating. It was caught early enough this time that he's home taking oral antibiotics.
That's it for me.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Cool that you saw a bear eating berries, but did you see any bear poop?

Curt, hope your Dad heals quickly.  Safe travels to your wife.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another bright morning with a forecast of 91°F.  Summer keeps hanging on.

Haircut this morning, then maybe some upstairs time.

Have fun,
mike

Rick, I always liked Sedro Wooley, it had a "not yet spoiled by Seattle Millionaires" sense to it, along with the active lumber industry (at least when we visited 30 years ago.)  And of course, it's the gateway to some of the great mountain drives in the Northern Cascades.   If you want to chase some historic tracks, check out the Everett & Monte Cristo:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everett_and_Monte_Cristo_Railway   There's a good (rare) book on that railroad, if you like poking around local used bookstores and see a copy, it might be worth getting.

The weather from SE NH is a mixed bag.  Our streak of sunny days stopped, but we REALLY need the rain.  Tomorrow it'll be back to summer, and by Sunday a cold front will come through to dry things out.  After the cleaners leave, I'll head down to the train room for more pick-up/put-away.  I ordered some small plastic boxes to try to better organize the bunches of small parts I have.

Morning all,

Just stopped by to day "Howdy" as Mike would say.

I feel great today and am going to cut and edge the grass after this post.

Curt, I feel you frustration. We went through it with Pam's mother. They don't say anything until it hurts bad enough to say something or we notice as you did.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.
