Philip talked about pulling a muscle in his back.  I worked with a woman who was a semi-pro body builder.  She came hobbling in one day.  I asked, "What's wrong?"  "I'm having muscle spasms in my back."  "Well, that's what you get for having all those muscles!"  Her response can't be repeated here.  A couple weeks later, my back was sore, and I told her, "I'm having flab spasms."

Yesterday's local class reunion at the brewpub went quite well.  I still don't know how all the other guys got so old, though.

Good morning everyone.

Pocatello weather: Sunny, with a high near 94.
That's a bit too hot for me.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.

Ron, welcome home.

Jerry, did you sneak some bench time?

Mike, hope the sun is shining today.

Karl, hope the weather didn't get too severe.

Curt, happy belated anniversary.

Philip, hope the back has stopped hurting.

Larry, I'm sure you'll come up with a good plan on what to build next.

Greg, TomO, ACLTom, Dale, Dave and anyone else looking in, hope you're all well.

A very lazy day yesterday.
I needed a recovery day.
I'm very slowly making my way to Salt Lake City.
I'm going to need the 60,000 mile A service on the van very soon and the best Sprinter dealer is there.

The last hiking video I posted the other day: https://youtu.be/cjl02p_67Q0

Good Morning,

The morning beverages are set to go. Breakfast is waffles with homegrown strawberry sauce topped with whipped cream, dig in.

What's going on in your world.

Ron glad to hear you made it back up North safely; get some rest.

Rick thanks for the coffee. If you're going to get the van serviced may as well go to the best.
Great photo.

It's a muggy 74 with a high of 85 in New York with rain expected; hopefully nothing too wild and wooly. Need to run a couple of errands then some more bench time. Other than that too much going on here.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Rick, you're near where my friend lives (for now), Idaho Falls.  If you want to see an interesting geological formation, head slightly northEAST of Idaho Falls for Menan Buttes:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menan_Buttes  We looked at that in one of my geology classes.  My friend said, "Huh, the other end of my radio direct internet link is to a tower located there," which I found on the map.

Muggy, heading up to 88 with high heat index today.  Chance of showers tonight.  A slight break before the Florida Summer weather moves in next week.  Ugh!

I'm watching the situation in the Middle East with a lot of concern.

Good grey morning after from Michigan.  Another one of those artificial holidays on hand, anyone have work today?  It seems the banks and post office are closed.  Happily Larry's Kitchen is open this morning.  Good sounding menu, thanks for that!

I don't see any damage from the storm here, ~1" of water in the dish on the back deck. ??? It's overcast.

Good to hear that the recent batch of travelers are at their home ports safely.  :D

I worked on my layout yesterday a couple hours, weathering ties, dry brushing a lighter color to draw out the light grain in the plastic.  Maybe some more later(?)  ::) who knows.

Quite the fireworks show from SpaceX in Texas, described in the report I saw as a Major Anomoly in typical astronomic understatement.  Rick's photo reminds me of what an after photo might look like in TX.  Another RUD or Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.

Time to rustle up some virtual victuals for the Doll.  She will be going to work on her antique booth today with her 22 yr old Dolly II who has a break from school, MSU engineering, right now and apparently a day off from the Mich DOT she has an internship gig with.  Oh yeah, that  'holiday' de-jure.. :P

Be well all, hope all is well with the rig, Rick.

IT seems we will be "enjoying" or  rather "enduring" Florida type 90s several days over the weekend and into next early week. Johnny Cash Ring of Fire! Days. :o Sidewalk Sale Days at the Antique Mecca...Maybe they'll fry eggs on the sidewalk!

Be well all.

Good morning Rick, Larry, Dave, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee rick and the breakfast Larry.

Rick, 60,000 miles already, time sure goes fast.

Larry, have fun at the bench.

Dave, have a great day.

Karl, Hope you find some time to work on the layout today.

Currently 72F and overcast here today with rain in the forecast.  Had a very good nights rest yesterday.  Today's plan is to unload the car and unpack everything I brought back with me.  I'll be taking my time doing that.

Have a great dy everyone.

Larry thanks for the breakfast.

Ron glad your home safe.

Weather here in South Jersey sunny/82.  Later on 90.  and humid.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening Rick. Is it a dry heat? ;D

Larry thanks for breakfast. Have a good day.

Woke up a bit later than normal so after breakfast I started chores including floors. Now I need to go to the library to return books. I prefer books to electronics. After that I need to run the pool vacuum again. It runs about 90 minutes before the filter clogs.

Not sure what else will happen today other than cooking supper which I hate to do.

Karl I'm concerned also. It can very easily spiral out of control.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning all, hope everyone is well & dry!

Our yard has always been clipped & weeded to perfection when summer begins. My wife prides herself in the flowers she grows and we have two goldfish ponds in the center of the flower garden with fountains and waterfalls.

Here's two pictures taken last summer, showing how our yard looked before it began raining yesterday.

1.webp
2.webp

We got a little rain yesterday... so I think I know what I'll be doing for the rest of the week
and it unfortunately won't coincide with my workbench..

3.jpg
7.jpg

It is much worse in the back yard.

8.jpg

There's a thick rug under those chairs to clean.
More rain is expected today and I can't wait! Right!
My job this morning is dismantling the fountains in the ponds
and removing the filters.

Have a mud-free day everyone!

Rich
