Good Morning All,

Thank you Rick for opening and breakfast. Enjoy your hike.

Slept through the night for the 3rd night. I could get used to this! ;D  Yesterday on the kit I built 2 wooden ladders and attached them and added a few more details to the diorama.

Today after chores is putting shingles on the thick cardboard roof. I will have to decide whether to use Brett's shingles or ones I already have.

Philip I don't envy you doing concrete in the heat. It's hard work.

Mike safe travels to you and your daughter. Hopefully she doesn't fly through Newark.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick and enjoy the hike.

Its already hot at 82 here and going to 93 with a possibility of 1"+ rain later. We have some errands to run so I'll keep this brief as well.

Have a safe, healthy and happy day everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have and enjoyable and safe hike.

Philip Have fun concreting .

Mike the nap hit the spot yesterday. Hope your daughter travels safely to Greece and back; should
be a great trip for her and her friends. Have fun with the details.

Curt nice to hear you're sleeping well again. Have fun working on the details.

Tom hope the errands are done before it gets too hot; stay cool.

Oops! I hit post before I was finished. It's a rainy 68 with a high of 70 in New York. Almost fell asleep at the computer yesterday so I gave in a grabbed a 2 hour nap to make me feel human again. Slept like the preverbal log last night. Not sure about today; maybe some bench time later.

Have a great day!!! Be well.

Good afternoon, Rick, Philip, Mike, Curt, ACLTom, Larry, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee Rick, hope you are enjoying/enjoyed your hike.

Checking in late today as the morning kind of got away from me today.

Currently 88F and cloudy here today.  No modeling last night as I ended up working late again yesterday.  Shouldn't have to work late tonight, so hopefully I'll get to the bench.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, muffins, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 73F and very humid. We recieved some minor rain last night about 9 pm.

Yesterday I painted (per instructions) then attached the shingles to the sub roof and colored the hoist house roof joices while still on the carrier sheet and left to dry overnight. I also purchased the SW Brass and Iron Foundry from the SW site. ;D

Today after chores I will be assembling the roof joices. It appears that the roof will be removable on the hoist house.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. I'll supply the cream cheese for the bagels.

I see Burley Jim is on the forum. I sent him a Welcome two weeks ago and never heard back.

We got a hard rain late yesterday afternoon and my yard loved it. I'm waiting for a couple of hours for the grass to dry out so I can cut it for the second time this week. Rain makes it grow like crazy.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  You've got a great line up of kits to build.

Karl, hope you have a relaxing day.

TomACL, good luck with the lawn.  I suppose the twice-a-week cut season has started down there.

Gregory, hope you have real sunshine in your day.

Ron, did you make it to the bench?

Jerry, did you make it to the bench?

Larry, I'm glad you're taking naps.  They give us the fuel for working at the bench.  ;D

How is the rest of the crew?

The sun is shining now, but thunderstorms are coming.  There is a reason it is so green here, it rains all the time.

Yesterday I finished painting the water tank's spout and bracket.  I hope to finish the build today.

Have fun,
mike

Burley Jim and I had a nice chat last week.  I'm hoping he'll start posting again, even if it's just an occasional note.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Looks like someone has been bitten by the "SW bug"; enjoy the new kit I'm sure it'll be a fun one.

Karl hope you don't get smoked out; I can't believe those are still burning.

Tom rain certainly makes the grass jump. One day the yard looks fine and the next not-so-much.

Mike naps are good on those rare occasions but I don't want to make a habit of it; at least not for a few more years.

Dave I noticed Burley Jim on here as well; hope he sticks around.

What's you plans for the day.

It's a cloudy 61 with a high of 70 something in New York. Ran some errands and more to come shortly. Looks like another rainy weekend but should clear up the beginning of next week so I can get the back porch painted. Maybe some bench time later.

Have a great day!! Bed well.

TomO, still in CA?

Star and I did a beautiful 3.6 mile hie with 908' EG at Smith Rock State Park.
Saw two snakes.
I small little guy and a young rattler that was dead.
Also saw a lizard that I've never seen before.
And there were some epic views.
Today we have another hike planned at Steins Pillar.

A photo from yesterday.
The rock on the left is Smith Rock.
