Jerry, "skinks" are a kind of small lizard, similar to what is in Rick's photo.

Well better late than never.... good afternoon!

Great photo and adding faces to the names!

Yesterday was my Grandsons 16th birthday. He now towers over me! Maybe I'm shrinking, :-[  Had a great day catching up with him.

Concrete pouring work is finished. A couple more steps in preparing for the locking cement and 100% done.  8)

Titus, on the other hand, did encounter a skunk once.  Several baths later, he was acceptable back on the couch  ;)

A friend's dogs haven't learned yet to leave porcupines alone.  Each encounter required a vet visit to puill out the quills and antibiotics, etc.  Ugh!

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, cake donuts, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 77F and very humid. I survived the dog sitting yesterday without much hassle but the dog is very high strung. The SeaWorld crowd made it back around 1830.

Today MOH has already left. She's meeting another lady north of Tampa then will take 2 days to get to Cedar Rapids, IA. I will start vacuuming the pool today. It's bad in spots but not as bad as expected.

Tomorrow most the day will be wasted with 2 VA appointments for Dad. One is for hearing aid issues...again. If it isn't the hearing aids it's the damn CPAP. He has constant issues with both.

I home everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

Cascade weather: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
I'm at a higher elevation so it will be cooler where I'm at.

Curt, Thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Hope all goes well with dad's VA visit.
I edited your photo, check your email.

Dave, my biggest concern is Star encountering a rattlesnake.

Philip, Happy Belated Birthday to your grandson.

ACLTom, hope there was all good news at the doctor.

Larry, any plans for today?

Jerry, the whiptails don't consider Star a friend.

Karl, I haven't driven the van in much s%$#.
The little bit that I have it did great.
In deep sand it does very well but need to deflate the tires first.

Greg, I would have thought Ron would have been the bad influence trying to convert you guys to On30.  ;D

Ron, you'll probably miss the FL weather, but I'm sure you're happy to be going home.

TomO, I'm happy that I'm mobile and can avoid those temps if I want.

James, they're not my cup of tea either.
I'd be much happier in a cabin in the mountains or woods.

Mike, how's Texas?

Plans changed yesterday after I posted.
Instead of staying near Cascade, I drove a little south and up into another mountain at a trailhead.
The trailhead was completely covered in s@#$ but found a nice spot to park across the street.
Didn't think I'd be able to hike the trail but to my surprise it was.
It's a reverse trail where you go down hill first then up on the way back.
The trail goes to Blue Lake and it was only 1.7 miles round trip.
No s$#$ on the way down but around the still partially frozen lake there was a lot.
However, it was easy to walk over.
A longer hike is planned for today.

A short video at Blue Lake: https://youtube.com/shorts/qZem8GIpqOo

And Star and Me at the lake.
She had a blast running and rolling in the white stuff.
Even went all the way neck deep into the lake.

Have a great day everyone.

8) Sun and chilly this morning.  It made it to 770 yesterday before a storm passed thru and caused a drop to 600 in an hour and a half :o It really rained hard and the storm triggered  :o SEVERE T-Storm WARNING noises on the comm devices :o .  It will stay cooler today, 60s, says the dude on the TV Station website.

Got some walking in yesterday, did  a few chores.  Also another set of bills passed thru the accounting office. Worked on the layout for a little last night after dinner.

Today? Something will show me the way... :D

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

Rick, great photo of you and Star. Blue Lake seems very peaceful. Thanks for sharing.

My Dr. appointment was just for a Carotid Ultrasound. Not sure why my Cardiologist wanted it but I'll find out next Thursday.

Safe travels for Ron as he heads back to Ontario. He didn't try to convert us to On30 but we did give him some stuff he could use with his On30 layout.

TomO, the photo showed all the SBG with the exception of Bob who was on his vacation.

Karl, hope the severe storms don't do any damage. We got several hours of hard rain late yesterday afternoon and early evening.

Well, have a safe and healthy day everyone.

It's cool enough here in SE NH that I actually turned the heat back on for a bit.  It was 55 outside, and 65 in the house when I got up.  I'm NOT COMPLAINING, I'm afraid we'll pay for this in July and August.

Nice photo of Rick and Star in a nice location.  Not sure I'd go out and walk on the ice, though.

Back down to the train room in a bit.  After the exercise machine, I'll touch up and then prime/paint the pipe threader tool.

Good morning Curt, Rick, Karl, ACLTom, Dave and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt. Have fun with the pool cleaning.

Rick, great picture of you and Star.  I saw your short video, seems like Star loved the snow.

Karl, hope the day brings you to the train room.

Tom, looking forward to adding the new goodies to the layout when I get home next week.

Dave, have fun in the train room.

Currently 80F and overcast here.  I added lighting to the station last night, the last building in town that needed it.  At this point I think that there will be no more work on Henderson as I need to start packing for the trip home.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Guys,

It's finally a sunny 70 with a high of 77 in New York; rained all night. Not sure what's up for today; maybe some time outside. The Buick is in the Shop so hopefully that'll be inspected sometime today then both vehicles will be good until next June.

Have a great day!! Safe travels and be well.
