Rick

Good morning everyone.

Palisades weather: Partly sunny, with a high near 75.

I see might be around so maybe two breakfast choices.

Coffee, sodas and OF are ready.
Huevos Rancheros for breakfast today.

Jerry, keep cool.

Greg, how'd the bids go?

TomO, keeping the old layout or building new?

Ron, maybe you'll have modeling time today.

Karl, if it's that hot again, stay in and keep working on the layout.
Looks like you're making a lot of switching possibilities.
Hope you can get some relief from the back pain.

Philip, all the decoders installed?

Dale, enjoy your visit to Oregon and your family.

Larry, hope the tree removal goes well.

Curt, hope you slept better.

ACLTom, I'm sure you're  recuperating from yesterdays procedure.
Hope that it went well.

Dave, a what are you reading thread sounds good.

Mike, any news from Georgia?

Star and I hiked a little more than 10 miles and just under 1,000 of climbing on the Palisades Creek Trail.
Sheep showed up again and completely surrounded the van.
Today I head to Idaho Falls for a gym visit and then to Pocatello to pick up my mail.

At yesterday's trailhead there were signs that bears are in the area and 1 mile into the hike I saw this.

I saw more prints further on but didn't see any bears.

This was the view at the end of the trail.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone, Huevos Rancheros sounds fantastic Rick.

I'm sitting in the Denver airport waiting for my plane to load, that should be happening here pretty quick.

I am amazed at how fast I got through security, 15 minutes from when my wife dropped me off to the gate, which includes a train ride and who knows how many steps. I think this is the fastest I have ever gotten through.

Hope everyone has a great day

Positive times ahead

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. The country is beautiful there.

Dale, congrats on the easy departure which seems not too common these days.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a sunny morning with a forecast of 96F.  I guess it's time to put the sweaters away.

Busy 1:1 day ahead, physical therapy, change oil in wife's car, and lodge tonight.

Nothing to report from the bench.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Layout scenery and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the nice breakfast & coffee.
A nice picture looks cool there.

Dale have a nice flight.

Mike sounds like you have a busy day ahead.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/hot 85.  Later on 98.
Diane's granddaughter is here and is taking her to Wayne today.
It's the last of grandkids graduations.
I'm staying home it's just to hot and with my shortness of breath it just wouldn't be a good idea.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Enjoy your day.

Rick I'll take a second cup of Joe, thanks. I'm sure any bears knew you were around and stayed clear.
The tree removal's going to have to wait until it cools down, probably Sunday, not working in 90+ degree heat.

Dale nice you got through Security so quickly. Have a safe flight and enjoy your visit.

Mike sounds like a busy day for sure. Watch the heat.

Jerry stay inside and keep cool; heat like that is no joke.

What's your plans for the day.

It's 84 with a high of 94 and more humid in New York. Yesterday we did hit 97 setting a new record...whoop...whoop....not! Some rain forecasted but hopefully nothing too serious; I HATE weather like this. Maybe some bench time later. After running around all morning, yesterday afternoon I sat at the 'puter and fired up Trainz 22 for awhile. Of course I had to refresh the old "grey matter" so I could play it again.

Have a great day!! Be well, safe travels, and watch the heat.

Mid 70s going to mid 90s yet one more day here in MI.

The Doll picked the warmest day of the year to buy a couch and love seat from the son of the neighbor that passed away recently, then conned the one daughter and grand daughter to move them.  The daughter also gave us a like new Queen sized mattress and box springs.. :P  "all" I had to do was pay for it all, plus dinner at the lake side dinner.  :o  Gotta say the girls were wonderful..I did sleep well.

Dale enjoy the travel.  I've not flown since Sept. 18, '01 before they formed the default delay into the process.  I don't mind it but the Doll is afraid beyond reason.  So, we don't.  Rather drive the highways and byways thru our fine state than venture out very far.

Rick, nice view, looks quite pleasant.

Little planned for today, trip prep and bench time, maybe.

Everyone be safe in the heat.

I dropped the dogs off at the groomers and then went to the supermarket.  Now back home safe in air conditioning.  But the house is unnaturally quiet.  I'll head downstairs to the train room in a bit, I should start with time on the exercise machine.

Good morning Crew. 4" of rain in the gauge from the late evening storms that rolled through So Central Wisconsin. While very muggy on the front porch we will be at 80f degrees later or about 15 degrees cooler than yesterday's 95. The rains we had this morning at 7:30 only added another 1/4". Supposed to get rain on and off all day.

Rick, if this layout gets torn out, it's gone this time. It's been through 3 moves and it's had enough. But I'm still vacillating.

10:40 this morning my pick up at Michael's for more florist wire and some calligraphy pens should be ready. Last night I sold the last of my wire tree armatures but he wants a total of 600 so I need material for another 239 plus my normal 5%. An old friend he and his wife came for dinner and a lesson on how I build my trees. We had a good time and I was able to get rid of some inventory.

I will with my 2 OPS session traveling buddies deliver them next week. About an hour away he is in a western Milwaukee suburb. Along with my 2 friends we will help him test his track work!

Not much on the agenda today. But it most likely will be spent in the cave or train room. The humidity is brutal and with rain on and off all day who knows what can be done outside.

Enjoy the day
TomO

Philip

Good Morning with a trip to Fort Knox on the agenda for Gena's retirement ID card.

Spent yet another evening in the shop decoding the decoder install. The engine is wired in and the tender pigtail connection remains. Just maybe today a test!

Yet another fine hot day on the way.

Philip

Good morning Curt, Rick, Dale, Mike, Jerry, Larry, Karl, Dave, TomO, Philip and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfasts Curt and Rick.

Currently 85F and cloudy with rain in the forecast this afternoon.  Didn't even make it to the modeling room last night as by the time I got home and had dinner it was already 8:30PM.  I should get home at the usual time today so I should make it to the modeling room.  Tonight's plan is to clean-up the room so I can start working on the staging yard again.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

I'll let someone else feed everyone.

Woke up 3 times to pee last night. Most likely from the amount of water I drank thru the day.

I spent about 2 hours pulling weeds and completed my intended project. Although I took 3 inside breaks my legs were still like jelly when I got done.

MOH made it home after lunch yesterday.

Today is more pool cleaning and a smaller plant bed that needs weeded. The downside is that this one is always in full sun.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

Pocatello weather: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Coffee, sodas and OF are ready.
Breakfast burritos filled with eggs, cheese and chorizo for breakfast today.

Curt, it's good you stay hydrated doing all that outside work.
But you've already stated the downside to it.  ::)

Greg, hope the crossed fingers work.

Ron, room all cleaned up?

TomO, have fun with the tree making.

Philip, did you do the test?

Dave, I saw the picture of the dogs and they look good.

Karl, all prepped to head north?

Larry, I'm sure they were either black or brown bears and they usually stay away from people.

Jerry, congratulations on getting your thread started.

Mike, hope today is less busy and time will be spent upstairs.

Dale, great news on the quick security process.
Safe travels.

TomO, hope you and the legs are doing well.

Drove back to Pocatello yesterday and picked up my mail.
Change of plans now.
Had friends from NJ contact me that they will be in Grand Teton NP end of June early July and want to get together.
So, I'll redo yesterdays driving and go back to Palisades for the night and then closer to GTNP the next day.

This is where I'll stay tonight.
I'm pretty sure that's Baldy Mountain.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening. Glad Pam made it home safely.  Good luck with the garden.

Rick, thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Safe travels.

Jerry, congrats on all the graduations.

Larry, sounds like a fun day avoiding the heat.

Karl, congrats on the furniture haul.

Dave, thanks for the reminder about the exercise machine.

TomO, congrats on the tree sales.

Philip, how the decoder install finishes well.

Ron, enjoy the staging work.

Gregory, good luck with the bids.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning with a forecast of 97F.  The day started with dog poop pickup out back since the mowers come on Wednesday. Next was filling the bird feeders.  Sweetie goes to the spa at nine, but the rest of the day is mine!  I plan to head upstairs to work on the water tower.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning,

Curt easy in the heat and smart keeping hydrated even with the downside.

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Great photo. Bears will usually not go near humans unless
they smell food. Like my Grand Dad always said "Never hunt something that hunt you back."

Mike enjoy the bench time. "Doggy Duty" sounds like fun...not.

What's going on in your neck of the woods.

It's 80 going to 87 with less humidity in New York; going to cool down the next few days. Later this am going to get the chainsaw going and start shaking away at that downed tree; probably a couple of hors at a time unless my back stays otherwise. Bench time??

Have a great day!!! Be well, safe travels, and watch the outside activities.
