Good evening everyone.

Hope everyone had a fantastic day.

Hiked to Delta Lake this morning.
It was very steep in places and had it's challenges but the view of the lake was worth it.
I'll discuss more about the hike tomorrow.

I'll see you all in the AM and have a great night.

Jerry

Rick at least you could have poured yourself a cold beer while waiting for me to show up!!  :)

We made the beach but ot chased off 2 hours later thunder in the area!!

Maybe a little detail work later tonight.

If your around stop by for a beer or two.

Good evening, Jerry, Rick and anyone else who's still up. Mixed in with paying bills and keeping up with shenanigans on the 'net, I started building my first model girder rail track. It's going to be a bit of an adventure, but I have hopes I'll come back with my shield rather than on it.

Morning all,

No time to fix breakfast, I have a blood draw at 7AM this morning for my annual physical next week.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning everyone.

Jackson weather: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Sunny, with a high near 85.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Blueberry pancakes hot off the griddle with fresh churned Wisconsin butter and real Michigan maple syrup.
Sides of crispy bacon and sausage too.

ACLTom, hope the bloodwork is all good news.
Hope Pam is feeling better.

James, sounds like an interesting new project.

Jerry, any details get paint on them?

Greg, hope you can get your computer issues sorted out.

Mike, enjoy the visit with your daughter.

Karl, looks like you'll be flying down the internet highway soon.

TomO, maybe expand to a three hour drive from home?

Dave, hope you had a nice lunch with your brother.

Philip, did the speaker show up?

Ron, other than the start yesterday's race wasn't very exciting.

Larry, nice that an end is in sight to the tree project.

I slept great last night.
Didn't even get up to use the bathroom.  8)
Hike totals from yesterday: 8.22 miles and 2,362' of climbing.
The last 1/2 mile or so of the trail is very steep and not marked.
There are three sections where you have to climb of large rocks.
At the first rock crossing I headed up.
That was a big mistake and made the climb to the top much harder than it should have been.
I found the right way to go on the way down.

My friends from NJ are supposed to show up here around 5.
Then we're supposed to go to dinner.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Glad the hike was good although you made it harder on yourself. Enjoy visiting with your friends.

The location yesterday was Interlaken not Gainesville. Everything was pretty much back roads until we were close to home. The plus was traffic was light both ways.

Today I have a bunch of things to do with the pool including draining water. We're supposed to get heavy rain the next 2-3 days.

My son actually moved the remaining pavers to the street while we were gone ;D  so they can be picked up by the Wednesday bulk pickup.

Ron Happy Canada Day.

Tom I hope Pam is feeling better.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning ACLTom, Rick, Curt and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, enjoy dinner with your friends.  Hopefully the next F1 race will be more exciting than the last one.

ACLTom, Hope the blood work goes well, hope Pam is feeling better.

Curt, take it easy with the pool work and thanks for the "Happy Canada Day" wishes"

Currently 23C (72F) and overcast with rain in the forecast.  Nothing much planned for today as everything here is closed today.  I will be taking Gracie for a walk shortly before the rain starts and then spend time at the bench, the plan is to prepare the turnouts for installation and then install them.

Have a great day everyone.

Thought I'd stop by and say hi!

Ron Happy Canada Day! I loved hiking in your great outback up north of Toronto when I was a kid.

Rick thanks for the the video, just curious, I've seen many a mountain lake but that shade of Jade is stronger in the picture then I have seen. Is it the mineral content? I remember Deb and I were in Korea years and years ago for work and were invited to hike a local mountain. The trail had several areas of rock climbing, not fun, especially in tennis shoes. When we got to the top with our hosts we found out there was a dirt road for trip down, the joke was on us.

Tom hope Pam is up and going again and blood work done so you can enjoy your diet coke.

I am going to get some work done on the engine house I started yesterday, I am fighting the temptation to change the whole look of it and just build it the way instructions show. I am also working on a scratch build bridge so I do not need two big projects going. Well off to breakfast and coffee, have a great day.

Thunder in the area here with 2-3 on-off brief waves of moderate rainfall

IMG_2218.jpeg

Numbers of mosquitoes and one tick zeroed in on me yesterday. Itchy night >:(

Mid 60s headed to 70 today. Lite and EZ the plan.

Enjoy your visitors Rick.

Be well all.

Morning crew!

No speaker yet and appears to be in the dreaded USPS black hole.

Cleaned the carb on the mower yesterday. What a wreck but started right up afterwards.
Raining today so inside activity.

Have a great day!

Rick, that's a classic Teton view.    Tom, I had a blood draw this morning, too.  They were triple-booked, so there was a wait, but they worked through the backlog quickly.   Muggy here, the new dehumidifier for the basement was due yesterday but Amazon had a 'service interruption' so it should arrive today.  (Truck broke down?)

Good Morning,

Tom hope the blood draw goes well as well as your physical; I have the same thing coming up
in a couple more weeks.....or what passes for a physical now days.

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast.Sounds like the hike was a little rougher than normal;
glad it went well anyway and a beautiful photo. Yes I'll be happy when the tree is a not-so-fond memory;
hopefully tomorrow will be the end of the chainsaw.

Curt don't overdue the 1:1 stuff.

Ron "Happy Canada Day". Hope the bench time goes well.

Jim thanks for stopping by and don't be a stranger. Good luck with the two projects.

Karl nice photo. I feel your pain, the skeeters were having a field day with me while I was
cutting up the tree.

Philip nice you can fix your own equipment and enjoy the day inside.

Dave Amazon does have delivery delays occasionally, been there done that.

What's the rest of you up to.

It's a cloudy muggy 79 with a high of 83 in New York and more rain. Ran a bunch of errands already so hopefully the rest of the day is mine. Depending what's available maybe a run to the local grower for some homegrown veggies for dinner. Work continues at the bench.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Rick

Good afternoon everyone.

Don't think I'll be here in the morning.
Not hiking but trying to get some wildlife photos.

Have a great rest of your day.

Larry C

Good Morning,

Just set out the usual morning beverages. Breakfast is waffles with homegrown strawberries, and whipped cream along with crispy bacon to cut some of the sweetness.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a sunny 69 with a high of 81 in New York. Haircut on tap this am then I have a date with a tree to whack away at it some more; hopefully it will be finished by week's end. Not much else happening here.

Have a great day!!! Be well and keep yourselves safe.

Good morning folks,

Larry, thanks for opening the coffee and waffles.  Good luck with the tree.

It's a hazy morning in eastern Alabama, with a high forecast of 88°F.  No significant activities planned for the day, just eating and reading.

Have fun,
mike
