Good morning Curt, Rick, Larry, Mike, ACLTom, Jerry, Greg, Kark and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Happy 4th of July to my American friends,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, enjoy your day.

Curt, grilled burgers sound great.

Larry, hope you make it to the bench today.

Mike, glad you made it home safely.

ACLTom, don't worry about the funk, just run some trains.

Jerry, maybe you will make it to the bench.

Greg, Karl, enjoy your day.

Currently 19C (66F) and partly cloudy with no rain in the forecast today.  Another night where I didn't make it down stairs as by the time I got home from work and had dinner it was already 8PM so read a bit instead.  Hopefully tonight I'll make it downstairs.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning Folks;

I gave my soap box speech on how proud I am being an American on the Daily Forum so I will simply say Happy 4th of July!

We have had some rain and it is muggy here no doubt but nothing like they have been getting down Orlando way, seems to just go around us. I have been working on the Engine House kit from FOS and fined my will power to just keep to the instructions disappearing. There is so much more this kit can display so down the rabbit hole I find myself going. Doug mentions in the instructions the ability to showcase the interior but the way it is currently designed you'd see lots of bracing so changing that, and when this type structure was likely made brick flooring instead of concrete was more likely so that is got to change and so it goes. Oh well, all fun.Have a great day.

Morning all,

Breakfast this morning is your choice of western omelette or cheesy scrambled eggs. No surcharge for the eggs. Drinks on the end.

I'm off to get some gas for the SUV. I'm taking Pam to get her hair done in Mt. Dora and then we'll grab some lunch and run a couple of errands.

Hopefully some bench time late this afternoon.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Tom. Enjoy your day with Pam.

I just got done feeding our animals and drinking a cup of coffee. Fireworks weren't bad here last night and I think it stopped raining before the major shows in the area started. I believe that today is supposed to have the most rain this week.

This morning it's raining, not a downpour but heavy. Not much planned for the day other than the stuff that happens every Saturday here.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

SLC weather: Patchy smoke before noon. Sunny, with a high near 92.

ACLTom, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Have fun with Pam today.

Curt, while you're waiting for your new kit to arrive, do you have another kit to work on?

Philip, what's new?

Jim, looks like a great kit to work on.
Have fun building and modifying it.

Ron, did you make it downstairs?

Karl, what do you say?

Greg, have a relaxing weekend.

Jerry, it will be wall to wall tourists all weekend.

Mike, you made good progress yesterday.

Larry, I'm sure the grilled meal was delicious.

TomO, how was your day out?

Made it to the gym yesterday.
Celebrated the 4th with a Wendy's chocolate Frosty that I shared with Star.
Even with the two relaxing pills I gave Star, she had a rough night with the fireworks.
Going to the MB dealer to find out about an oil change.

Have a great day everyone.

Curt, I was wondering (as our dogs were cringing from the fireworks) how your critters reacted.  There was a lot of firework noise, but the 'calming treats' worked pretty well.  Titus was anxious, but didn't shake the whole evening.  Neither did Livia, but these days we're not sure how much she can hear, so that helps, too.

Rick, another winning photo!

After yesterday's perfect day, it'll get warmer and more humid today through Monday, and seasonably warm for the rest of the week.  I feel about summer the way most people feel about winter, just something to get through...

Rick no kits to work on. :-\ I don't have a spare kit laying around. I've always built them as I acquired them. That picture looks like the movie company logo that has stars circling the peak.

Dave the fire works noise was sporadic here and none of them seemed frightened.

Good Morning,

Tom thanks for the coffee and cheesy eggs; can never have too much cheese. Enjoy your
outing with Pam; maybe even some bench time.

Curt all those critters must keep you hop'n. Hope your kit arrived soon.

Rick great photo. Yes the grilled meal was delicious a with minimal cleanup; made Ellie's day.
Generally animals don't respond well to fireworks; I can only imagine what they must be thinking.

Dave don't worry the white crap will be here soon enough.

What's going on.

It's a sunny 58 with a high of 88 in New York. Had a nice surprise yesterday. My neighbor was burning up some old wood and saw my pile of branches; he offered to throw them on his fire for me and of course I agreed. Saved myself some $ and some work. This am I went to the transfer station with my trash and while I was there a guy pulled in with construction stuff. I noticed he had some 1/2 inch green foam pieces so I asked if I could have them which he graciously gave me. There were about a dozen pieces most about 24x18 inches in size....score!!! They'll be great bases for dioramas. More outside work today so not sure about any bench time.

Have a great day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Good morning ACLTom, Curt, Rick, Dave, Larry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Tom, enjoy your day with Pam.

Curt, Have a great day,

Rick, good luck with the oil change.  In the "Old" day I did all my own oil changes, today, I let someone else do them.  ;D

Dave, I will say summer here is a lot cooler that it was in Florida, and I missed the worst part.

Larry, great find at the transfer station.

Jim, interesting changes you have planed for the engine house.

Currently 20C (68F) and sunny.  Got home from work a little later than usual and when I got home the Mrs wanted to go out for dinner, after discussing where we would go the grandson said he wanted pizza so we went to our favourate pizza place.  Needless to say it was another night I didn't make it to the basement.  Today's plan is to do some yard work, watch the F1 qualifying and then some modeling time.  But first it's time to take Gracie on a walk.

Have a great day everyone.

TomO/Tloc

Good morning from another great start to a Wisconsin Day. The internet bug seems to have eaten a few of my responses! Press post and poof, it's gone...

Just relaxing this weekend as the daughter's family are visiting an also recently moved neighbor. The daughter's house and this neighbor all sold on the 1st offers about a month apart. They were close friends and with the kids gone the house is quiet, just the way Terry and I like it. They will be back Monday.

We saw yesterday the movie F1 starring Brad Pitt. Enjoyable and pretty darn good. Our 1st movie since the Tuesday before Mr. Trump shutdown the USA in March of 2020. Before then we were going to the movies about for around 30 a year since retirement in 2014. Returning to see F1 IMOO was worth it.

We have no plans for today or tomorrow other than I am meeting up with the contractor at the daughter's new place at 8:30 this morning. The house is going great and no real issues. The place is about 3 months ahead of schedule and that's a good thing.

I plan to be on the south deck or north porch today until the 3pm predicted storms roll through. Then I will head to the bench to do a final matte clear coat on a diesel.

Enjoy the day

Good morning folks,

TomACL, thanks for opening, coffee, and the western omelet.  Safe travels as a chauffeur.

Curt, wishing you a fantastic Saturday.

Rick, good luck at the MB dealer.  Love the photo, thanks.

Dave, glad your dogs didn't suffer from the fireworks.  Hope it isn't too hot for you.

Larry, congrats on the terrific score of green foam.

Ron, sounds like a perfect day.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a bright morning at 72°F, heading to 92°F.  The fireworks last night didn't scare Sweetie, but living near Atlanta, they scared me... ;)

Yesterday I made good progress on the layout.  I finished with the heat gun, softening the foam edges and getting ready for Sculptamold.  First, I need to make the old Main Street road.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Water Tower and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Morning everyone

Tom thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
You takin a book so you can read while Pam has her hair done??

Curt have a nice day doing whatever comes up.

Rick that is one of the finest pictures I've seen!  Your skills are amazing.

Dave our Izzy wasn't to crazy about them either but there weren't to bad this year.

Larry nice score on the foam pieces.

Ron you look to have a busy Saturday!!

Weather in South Jersey sunny/74.  Later on 84.
It would be a great beach day but that will not happen until the idiots leave!!
So maybe some detail work.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Pleasant upper 60s with bright hazy sun headed to upper 70s and windy here at the Cedar Swamp. It's more humid. The winds enough for high wave action warnings. But we're shielded somewhat with the Wiggins Point ESE from us from much of the wind's effect on our beach.

It's unusually quiet this weekend with a half dozen bottle rockets I shot off. There seems to be few weekenders here this weekend. I like quiet. The fireworks here at Manistique are tonight. No idea how the wind warnings will affect them. We will watch them from our beach across the bay as years past.

Great photo, Rick, you need to archive your travels in a book, Travels with Star
I must confess to not being a fan of FB so have not seen your work there.

Time to get moving. SSS, etc.  High level jocularity, mirth and merriment are due to arrive soon. The Doll's son from AZ she's not seen in two years will be the center of the 'oohing and ahhing' as usual, I will sit back and let it flow. Hip boots times ::)

Well all, enjoy!  Stay safe!
