Good morning everyone.

Coulee City weather: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Glad your wife is feeling better.

Larry, Happy Birthday!

ACLTom, I'll look for those photos after you post them.

Karl, I think you're going to like the Starlink.

Jerry, Nice shot of the waves.
They should be even bigger today.
Go grab your board and hang ten.  ;D  8)  ;)

Mike, hope the storm isn't causing you any problems and hope your finger is feeling better.

Dave, how was the potluck?

Greg, hope you have another sunny day today.

Ron, good news about being home every night.

TomO, still in Seattle?

Star and I did the Steamboat Rock Loop Trail.
4.3 miles and 1,066' EG.
Some of that elevation gain was very steep and had to use my hands going up and coming back down.
Got to the before sunrise and got some good sunrise pics that I haven't worked on yet.
It's going to be in the 90's in this area for the next few days.
I'm heading west about 100 miles and hope it will be cooler there.

A short 30 sec video of yesterdays sunrise: https://youtube.com/shorts/AdiiWxaRg9Q

And a photo of Star admiring that sunrise.

Have a great day everyone.

Where to, next, Rick?  If you head northwest, Winthrop, WA has a great restored gold mine stamp mill, and I think they occasionally operate it.  Then you can head due west on WA 20, a -spectacular- mountain road, ending on Anacortes Island.  I've done that drive twice.

Pot-luck was good, although I forgot to bring the cheese I cut up.  But the two side dishes were well received.  We have some leftovers for the rest of the week.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a bright morning with rain later and a high of 87°F.  The storms have mostly gone around us, but I always wish for rain.

Yesterday I managed to finish the lodge floors and roof.  Today I'll clean the glazing and install it.  I hope to wire the lights, too.

Have fun,

I figured you'd bring some fine whine to go with the cheese.  There's so much to whine about these days....

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. Enjoy the hike and great sunrise picture.

As Reading Bob mentioned on the Daily Chat, we had a storm blow through here around 3PM yesterday with lots of rain and wind. No damage here though.

I working in the train shed today and will try to get the grass cut as well.

Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Beautiful photo and have a safe and enjoyable hike.

Tom glad to hear you didn't have any storm damage. Have fun in the shed.

What's you plans for the day.

It's a very foggy 56 with a high of 81 in New York. The NYS Fair's in full swing through Labor Day; I'll pass, way too many people. My Contractor showed up yesterday and dug 2 five foot deep holes in front of the front porch to build a roof over it. Last winter the snow off the metal roof buried the porch; need to have that clear in case of an emergency. There's one other small job he's doing for me as well. Finished the small wagon and will post photos later today. Some morning errands to run.

Have an enjoyable dat!!! Be well and stay safe.
