Morning all,

Got back yesterday from our trip to Oshkosh.  The airshow was great, as usual.  Two days of a lot of walking, but worth it.  The highlight for me was these two new flyable warbirds, just recently completed.  The Me 262 and P-38.  My favorite allied and axis fighters of WW2.  We did get to see the Me 262 fly, but not the P-38.

Today is a day of R&R here, though I will probably mow the lawn later.

Warm headed to hot in Michigan this morning, quite hazy from the smoke.  Humidity 100%

Oshkosh looks like a good show again this year from a couple of videos I've seen online.  I've watched Flight Aware and have seen numerous planes fly over us with folks avoiding a lake crossing to head to the East or back to Canada.  Saw a Cherokee 6 from California circle past then head out and land at Beaver Island and another California registered plane lining up for Mackinac Island.

PReparations for traveling back home tomorrow will occupy the day.  The Doll has been glued to the weather apps so she knows how miserable to make herself feel with the temps.  Probably the warmest day up here since we arrived at the beginning of July.  We've had a decent time, hindered with my (*^%&* back.  It WILL be way hot tomorrow with 90, and ~100% humidity.(walk in the park weather for youse guys in the South ;) )  The grand daughter took us over to Marquette yesterday and her car. '22 Trail Blazer had a brief hiccup, went into LIMP HOME mode after we'd been to the Yooper Tourist Trap, I think it was hot.  Shut it down for a couple minutes, it reset and ran 'home' here with no further issues.  Marquette has the most of those traffic round abouts of any place i've seen.  :o

Enough from Northern Command.  Be well, stay safe.

Good morning everyone.

Sunny and low 90's here in Boise today.
That's too hot for me and I'll leave here ASAP and head to higher elevations where it will be cooler.

Jeff, thanks for the plane pictures.

Karl, safe travels tomorrow.

I have a couple errands to run this morning and then I'll treat myself to lunch out.

Have a great day everyone.

Karl, have the daughter check the thermostat.  That can cause 'limp mode' (it's one of the few things I know about cars, from experience...)

Yesterday was very nice, Scotch Club focused on Islay and I brought my bottle of Port Charlotte 10.  Today's temps will be higher, and the humidity is climbing.  Southern style heat and humidity return tomorrow.  Ugh.

Good morning, Jeff and crew.  Oshkosh has been on my bucket list for many years,  I did visit the EAA museum back when it was at Hales Corner - wow, that was a long time ago!

We're in the 90's today.  The only outdoor activity for me is to replace a turn signal bulb on my pickup.  The Tour starts shortly.  It's the last day, baring a major problem, the winner has been established, but it will still be fun to watch.

Good morning, all. The lower Merrimack valley had a bit of sun early but now it's overcast and the first band of rain passed through half an hour ago.  I'm looking around the Forum a bit before taking advantage of the cool for layout work.

Greetings!

We are back from our cruise around the Great Lakes, had a fantastic time, great sites, nice weather, great people lots of things to do and see. Best parts for me was Mackinac Island and the Upper Michigan Peninsula. Deb of course loved Chicago. We also stopped in Toledo so the kids had lunch and dinner with us.. All in all a great trip but good to be home too.

Good morning,

Welcome home, Jim.  Glad to hear you had a great time on your trip.

Mid 90's today in hot/humid Central Florida. Think I'll stay indoors.

Have a great one!
