Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast, Have fun working on the details; I' sure there are lots to paint.

Rick enjoy your quiet day; everyone needs one of those every now and then.

What's your plans for the day.

It's currently "1" degree, way to friggin cold, with a high of 26 in New York. Apparently we've been hit with an "arctic blast" of very cold air. Have errands to run but there're going to wait until after lunch so maybe it'll be warmer out. Maybe some bench time this am. Ellie's brother had a bad stroke about mid October so he's finally getting released from Rehab today. He'll have to go into an assisted living home for more therapy but I doubt he'll ever make it home. Since he's way out in Tucson,Az. he'll have to become a ward of the county; it's just too far away for Ellie to deal with everything.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay warm.

Heat wave in Michigan this morning, 50 with a clear sky and full moon that just dropped to the West Northwest. :o It may drift upwards toward 200 but we'll see.

LIONS struggled against a biased TV talk crew and were aided at one point by a WTH Flag and handily defeated dem Cowboys on the Amazon football game last night.  In spite of what a great QB Dax (sacked 3-4 times) is with such brilliant coaching, who'd have ever guessed?

Basement time is the plan for today, scenic up grade in a couple places are in progress.  The Doll will be going to her antique shoppe for upgrades to her booth.  I also have a book in progress as well.

Get warm and enjoy the day.

Good morning Curt, Rick, Larry, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, have fun painting the details.

Rick, have fun with the family.

Larry, sorry to hear about Ellie's brother.

Karl, looks like you are getting the hang of the 3d printing, the truck looks great.

Woke up to a temperature of -20c (-4f) today (it's currently -16c (3f)) so it's a good day to stay inside.  I didn't make it downstairs last night as I got home late from work, but I do plan to spend some time downstairs today.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started the day with a walk at 72F and low humidity. Supposed to get into the 80's today. Yesterday I got about half of the 3-D Printed details done leaving about 40 oil drums to do.

Today I hope to complete the details. It's oh so tedious but they bring a scene to life.

Not much else going on. The weather looks miserable up to the north of us.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning and thanks for breakfast, Curt.  Heavy overcast forecast over Metro Boston today, maybe snow flurries but clearing towards sunset.

I'm off to the New England Model Train Expo in Marlboro, MA in a bit, helping sell donations and run the White Elephant table.  I'm bringing surplus HO cars and motive power, plus a box of Lionel track and accessories I was given.  I don't know if it happens to everyone, but over the years I've been handed quite a bit of model RR stuff as an alternative to throwing it out. Now I'm making it a priority to move it along.

Good morning everyone.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Detail painting may be tedious but like you said, they bring a scene to life.

James, have fun at the show and good luck with the sales.

Jerry, any luck with the machines?

Ron, hope it's warmer today.

Karl, that's an excellent looking 3D print.
And I read that book when it first came out.

Larry, best wishes for your BIL.

TomO, have fun at the ops.

How's everyone else doing.

Drove back into town and spent some time with kids.
There'll be more of that today.
My daughter bought gingerbread house kits so I think those will be worked on today.

This is from my hike on Monday.

James, have fun at the train show.

Rick, have fum making those gingerbread house with the kits.

Woke up to a blanket of the white stuff this morning but it's a low warmer with the current temperature being -2c (29f) with more white stuff in the forecast.  Today's goal is to go get a pair of winter boots as my old pair gave up the ghost last winter.  after that, have some chores to do for the Mrs.  I should make it to the bench later today.

Have a great day everyone.

Jim Donovan

Good Morning;

Love the pictures. As Karl said the Lions won so my wife is happy. Yesterday I went to see my brother-in-law at the hospital to see how he was doing having had his right artificial hip replaced the day before. Instead the doctor said he was good to go and I was able to bring him back to his home, so a red letter day. He was in a lot of pain with the old one and is already feeling better.

The computer I ordered for my bride as her Christmas gift arrived yesterday as well so getting it running and ready for her is the project of the day. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning,

Curt, thank you for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Congrats on completing so many details.

Jerry, congrats on completing silly season shopping.

Ron, now that is cold!  Did you make it down stairs?

Karl, congrats on the Lions win - NOT.  The 3D print looks great, persist!

Larry, best wishes for Ellie's brother's healing. That's a tough one.

Rick, thanks for the amazing photo.

James, hope that the extraction is healing well.

MJ, really like those switch stands.

Philip, what's on your bench?

TomO, nice looking bridge and abutments.

How is the rest of the group?

It's a rainy morning at 43°F. Luzia was fantastic. I had some health issues that kept me horizontal most of yesterday.  Hope to feel better today.

NO sun in Michigan this morning, blah looking quite overcast, no 'sucker holes' t speak of.  Temps 'mild' 20s going to maybe 310 if you believe 'them' :-\

Went out and bought a TV last night, Christmas early, for the Doll and me.  Stopped at a Pizza Hut for a deep dish before heading home.  Place was a uproar as they had a big group coming, we sort of were tossed off in the corner.  Food was OK and the help, just so so...the group showed up as we were wrapping up, a highschool bunch from the W side of the state, not sure their "Mission" none of them looked like athletes, really, but they were well behaved and seemed hungry.

Little else here to add at this point.  Everyone Have A Good Day!

Good morning everyone.

Going to be sunny and low 70's here in south west Arizona today.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Breakfast burritos for breakfast today.
They're stuffed with two eggs, chorizo and cheddar cheese.

Karl, thank you for the very nice comment on my photo.
What TV did you get?

Larry, hope the 1:1 stuff is done and you can get back to the 1:48 stuff.

Mike, hope you are feeling much better today.

Jim, good news about your BIL and is the new computer up and running?

Jerry, hope the machine is right now.

Ron, I'm excited to watch the race highlights and results today.

James, how was the show?

I hope everyone else is doing well.

Found out building a gingerbread house is much harder than a craftsman kit.
Kids had a great time.
More time with the kids today.
Second oldest grandson has a birthday today.

Another picture from the hike up Hualapai Peak.
