Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. You must be getting up really early lately.

Started out with a walk at 52F so I was fully bundled up. High in the 60's today.

Yesterday was a bust. I started taking apart the lock and discovered there was a loose screw inside. MOH decided to give the old lock a second chance. It seems to work better.

SIL is due today for the pool canister, also I glued the pattern shop down and discovered I glued it in the wrong orientation after about 15 minutes. :-X Of course this was after having to remove about half of the previously applied ground cover. All in all not a good day at the workbench. Hopefully today will be better.

I've whined enough. Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Enjoy your hike. Actually started working on my LP yesterday and hope to finish it up today and get him planted.

Curt hope your bench time goes more smoothly today.

What's on your agenda.

It's 20 with a high of 23 and it's sn*wing like crazy; another 3-6 inches so They say. Probably will clean out the driveway late this morning to keep up with the wet heavy crap. All the area schools are closed for the day so the plows won't be hurting themselves today. Bench time??

Have a great day!! Be well and stay warm.

Quite cool and icy this morning, the residual slop has frozen.  I have a 10:30 appointment.  ;)

Startling news from A2 yesterday.  Sort of a perverse quiet over my SPARTAN Nation.  :o One M pod caster I saw was almost gleeful, Now they can get a different (better) coach and not have to pay him off.  ???

Bench time later if I can get to appt and back unscathed.

Another nice scene, Rick.

Be well all, stay safe, dry and warm

Fired with cause! Not a job I'd want but you can't play games with staff that you are in charge of. 6 million a year he blew! I hope his romp was worth it. UW had their famous BB coach retire quickly a few years ago because he got caught to save his State pension

Good morning from Wisconsin. Not much happening!

Need to toss some ice melt on the sidewalks today as we can't have the doggie walkers falling on their backsides.

The swing bridge project for me is done. Delivered it yesterday and now my friend will take it from there. There is a concrete pillar in the right side of the picture. That will become a coal fired power plant for 1965. I started sketching last night. 9" wide x 19" deep x 16" high

The paper mill is on hold till the 1st as he wants to finish the river scene and have me install the power plant.

Enjoy your day

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick, love the photo.

Ron, great news with your wife being able to come home. Hope the recovery is without issues.

Okay, my electrician came and went. He replaced two GFI outlets. He is licensed, bonded and knows the local codes. He charged $146.95 and that included the two new GFI outlets. I think he is now my go to guy for that type of repair/fix.

I can now light my outside Christmas stuff.

Today is mine and I plan on getting the bracing done on the challenge build.

The bridge TomO built is a winner for sure.

Have a safe, happy and warm day everyone.

Tom

Good morning Rick, Curt, Larry, Karl, TomO, ACLTom and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, have a great hike today.

Curt, we all have bad says at the bench, hopefully we don't have too many of them.

Larry, take it easy shoveling the snow, and hopefully you make it to the bench.

Karl, hope the new coach makes a huge difference to the program.

TomO, once completed that bridge scene is going to look great.

ACLTom, Looks like the electrical repair was affordable, I would keep him on speed dial.  ;D  Have fun at the bench.

Current temperature is -10c (14f) but the sun is out.  Well yesterday was frustrating as the Mrs didn't come home yesterday and it looks like it could be another day or 2 before she does.  The are still conducting tests to figure out that actually is going on.  She is no longer in pain, which is a good thing.  We shall see what the day brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Hope you enjoy the hike.

Curt, good luck at the bench.  Good luck with the sneaux removal.

Karl, good luck with your travel today.

TomO, indeed, it's sad all these trusted folks are falling from grace. Congrats on the completion of the bridge.

TomACL, The GFI replacement cost wasn't too bad.  Enjoy the bench.

Ron, wishing your wife a speedy recovery.

Jerry, good luck with the build.

How are the rest of the crew?

It's a bright day but cold and windy. I spent the morning working on the derrick.  I mostly assembled pulley and wheel axles.  There is a lot of fiddly stuff to do before I move on to the accompanying blacksmith shack.

Have fun,
mike

My current build is the Oil Derrick and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, homemade sausage biscuits, OJ, and soda. Try some mustard on the sausage for a surprise taste treat!

Sitting in high 40's and headed to 70's today. Yesterday went much better at the workbench. I got the pattern shop down correctly, put down the first layer of dirt around it, and finally built a flat bed dolly that was very fiddly.

Grandson was sick yesterday so no SIL, maybe today. If that fails there's always the workbench. ;)

That's it for me on this chilly start.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Glad to hear you sorted out the modeling situation and hope the rest goes well. Hey I'll swap weather with you.

What's your plans for the day.

It's 20 going to 30 in New York. Received at least another 6 inches of white crap so need to clean out the driveway before any errands are run...ugh it's going to be a looooooong winter. No bench time was had yesterday so maybe today????

Have a great day!!! Be well, stay warm, and easy if you're dealing with Mother Nature.
