Gosh, Karl, bad news comes in 3s...   My friend got a kitten to replace his 2 dogs when they lost them.  The kitten has definitely added some joy to their house.  Tiger would probably eventually appreciate the company.

Morning,

Not good at all Karl/Doll. Sorry about your pets and friend.

16.44 is a heck of a hike Rick!

Good luck at the bone cracker Larry and thanks for the list!

Jerry, Try a heat pad on those hands, works for me sometime. I have trigger finger when it's cold out.

Thanks for the coffee Curt! Good day to the rest of the track gang.

Karl & Vicki,

Talk about a bad terrible weak.  Losing 2 pets in 2 days, I have no idea how that feels.  We are so sorry to hear about the loss of 2 "family" members is such a short time.

Karl, my sympathy to you, Veronica and Tiger. Thick overcast along the Gulf of Maine, but it's over 40F and nothing below 20F forecast till Monday.

Good afternoon folks,

Rick, thanks for opening.  That hike was amazing.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and bagels. Good luck with the floors.

TomACL, the Koontz build is looking great.  Nice bowling score.

Larry, hope the chiropractor gave you some relief.

Jerry, well wishes for your hands and fingers.  I share your pain.

Ron, hope you make it to the bench.

Karl, my condolences for your cat.  Losing a pet is the worst!  Well wishes for Vicki's friend's husband.

Hi Dave!

Philip, the shed looks great!

Matt, that's some amazing craftsmanship on the turret.  Wow!

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a hazy day with a forecast for 61°F.  I'll take it.  I worked at the bench all morning and posted an update on the oil derrick. I'm glad to be past the construction of the temper screw and sand pump.  Hopefully, I'll be able to move forward more quickly, until I get to the forge details.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Oil Derrick and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Good morning everyone.

50 now, 67 and cloudy later in Henderson, NV.

Coffee, sodas, OJ and hot chocolate are ready.
Hot oatmeal with fresh fruit, nuts and spices available to add in for breakfast today.

Karl, I'm so very sorry to read about your other cat.
My condolences to Vicki and you.
All the best to Vicki's friend for a complete recovery as well.

Mike, hope you made good progress upstairs.

Philip, what are you working on these days?

Ron, any modeling time last night?

Jerry, hope your fingers are feeling better today.

Larry, back feeling good today?

ACLTom, your friend had a heck of a series.

Curt, how's the kit coming along?

Dave, Dave5th, James and Greg, haven't seen you guys here lately.
Hope all is well.

Yes, I'm up earlier than anyone should be.
But for good reason.
Doing one last hike here in Henderson and there should finally be some clouds so hope to get some good sunrise pics.
Went to REI To exchange the boots I got in Sept. for a new pair.
The old pair had a seam that was starting to separate.
The new pair has a slightly different construction and should be better.
Got the info I needed at the appliance store about the washer/dryer for my daughter.
Went to Costco and set a new PB for money spent there.  :'(
Heading back to AZ after the hike.

One more photo from the Lake Havasu hike.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Impressive hike. I don't want to try to beat your personal best!

Starting out at 61F here and supposed to get to the high 70's. Yesterday I worked on landscaping on the base and finished up around the detailed section.

I ordered a bottle of JAX pewter blacking liquid yesterday. I have used this previously and was happy with the results but for some reason I ordered another of their blacking liquids and it gives spotty coverage.

Today I'll start building the gantry crane. It looks to be fairly complex.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Gents,

Rick this for the coffee and breakfast. My Chiro visits are for maintenance more than anything else but I always feel better after an adjustment which is every 8 weeks. Since I've retired my back issues have lessened quite a bit. Who says "working isn't hazardous to your health."

Curt enjoy your build.

What's everyone else up to.

It's 30 with a high of 49 in New York. Yesterday cleared a lot of sn*w & ice off the roofs so today should finish the job. Maybe some bench time this am then taking Ellie for a hair apt. In between I have to get my tools together so I can help my Daughter try and fix her one part of a sectional couch; some of the springs let loose even though it's only about three years old. So that's my day.

Have a great day!! Be well and watch out for the "crazies" out there; "silly season" is in full force.
