Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sorry to hear about the skin irritation and hope you get some meds for it and hope your Dad heals quickly. I get skin irritations sometime too; I think it's old age creeping up on me.

What's the rest of you up to.

It's 31 with a high of 32 here; may get a little white stuff on and off. The positive part is I can see my lawn again, for now, and all the roofs are clear. Hoping to hit the bench soon and maybe do an update. Helping Ellie make cc chip cookie batter, she needs my muscles for mixing, then that will go into the fridge until tomorrow and she will make tons of cookies....yum.

Have a great day!! Be well and watch out for the crazies; they're everywhere.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. Hope you and Tim get healed soon. I get the skin stuff on occasion and like Larry says, old age?

I spoke to Bill yesterday and he will be moved to rehab on Monday if all goes well.

We have a few friends and family over last night for some Christmas snacks. One thing I observed, "Women can BS just as well if if not better than the guys". Just saying.

Bob was the only one here yesterday and did a little BSing but mostly talked about how we build structures and what is next on our list to build. I told him I need to do more scenery updating.

I'll try to get back on the Koontz build and also catch up on all the threads I've been missing.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Tom

Good morning everyone.

48 now, some sun and clouds later with a high of 74.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Hope your dad and you get those skin issues treated tomorrow.

Larry, have fun making the cookies.

Philip, how was the chocolate?

James, hope all goes well with your son and DIL with their new arrival.

Jerry, how are your finger?

Ron, are the Apples pared(paired) now?

Karl, turntable and roundhouse installed?

Karl, football was a bust for me last night too.
But then again, the whole season has been a bust.

ACLTom, good BS'ing yesterday?

How's everyone else doing.

Lots of presents wrapped yesterday.
Still need to go out today and get a few things for the youngest granddaughter and cash for the older boys.
I guess no one is interested in adding their own Christmas card to the thread I started.
I guess I won't do that again.

One more from my hike at McCullough Hills.

Good morning Curt, Larry, ACLTom, Rick, Philip, and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, hope you feel better soon.

Current temperature is -5c (23f) and cloudy.  Well had a interesting day at the Apple store yesterday, after 3 hours and lots of $$$ later, her new Apple watch works with her phone.  Her old phone couldn't update to the required software version required to use her watch with it so we bought her a new phone.  She was starting to have issues with her old phone so an upgrade was in her future anyway.  I think from now on I'm going to avoid Apple stores at all costs because every time I go there it ends up costing me $$$.

After the sticker shock of a new iPhone wore off and after running a few errands, I made it to the bench.  I'm hoping my errands are done till after Christmas as it seems all of the crazies have come out of the woodwork.  At the bench I managed to put together a set of trucks and glue the sides and ends of a boxcar together.  I didn't take any pictures as I was figuring out thew best was to handle this process.  I have 3 more boxcars to assemble so I will take pictures of the process.

Have a great day everyone.

Sunny, cold in Michigan this morning. The let's hurry and beat the crowd window is closed for grocery shopping today.  >:(

We managed yesterday to get our stuff done with no hassle  :D. Nice to have an easy day. Did some layout work and printed barrels and pallets on the 3d machine. I have a tunnel portal in there printing now. Might take awhile.

Curt, hope things go well with Dad.

JBVB, enjoy the new adventures with the family.

Football at 4:30, Lions vs Steelers. They're not regular opponents and Detroit has not beaten P'burg(h) "this Century " so...I can say with certainty that the Super Bowl is out this season as is half of the first line roster that started the year.  ::)

The officiating crew put their collective mind together and allowed that streak to continue...:o

Enough for now.

Ron, I've been eligible for that Master Card for quite awhile, just never got a Round To-It :o

Good morning everyone.

50 now, cloudy and 74 later.
Rain in the forecast for the next three days and there are flash flood warnings out already.

Coffee, sodas, OJ and hot chocolate are ready.
There's some egg nog too.
I'm not very hungry this morning so a light continental breakfast of muffins, danish and bagels are on the counter.

Karl, how'd the tunnel portal turn out?

Mike, you probably didn't enjoy much of the game yesterday.

Jerry, very nice of you to do that.
Hope your friend was able to pass the stone.

Ron, glad you don't have to go out and mingle with the crazies and are able to sty home and model.

Philip, M&M's are one of my favorites.
Especially the peanut ones.

Rich (Pennman), Happy Birthday!

Curt, hope all goes well for you and dad at the VA.

How's everyone else doing?

The whole brood is doing a road trip today to an interactive museum in Las Vegas.
And yes, I'm up way too early.
Maybe I can get a nap in while in the car.

More from McCullough Hills.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Travel safe you and your family; enjoy the museum. Naps are great!!

How's everyone else doing.

It's 23 with a high of 35 with light sn*w. Unfortunately I have to go grocery shopping this am and try to beat the crazies; this will be the last time I'll be in a store before Christmas. Ellie's making cc cookies today while I bow the presents. Other than that we're all set. Bench time? not likely.

Have a great day!! Be well and watch out for the "nut cases" out there. The "silly season" is almost over.

Well, Karl, that was a heluva finish to the Lions/Steelers game!!  There were a lot of close calls in that game, and when I thought about it, the "no replay when time runs out after a penalty" rule made sense.  But I -really- feel bad for the Lions and their fans, that was a tremendous heads-up effort on that last play (except for the blatant penalty.)  And, it's really rare for Boswell to miss a field goal...

Anyway, back to trains...  This morning is a kaffee-klatsch for the German class, with spouses invited.  Not much German, but appropriate cookies and coffee, etc.  Then I have to go to the grocery store and buy some lottery tickets.  PowerBall is actually a better-than-even bet right now, that rarely happens!  Then back to the train room for work fitting the boiler room roof, and some research on how the coal gets from the pit into the boiler room.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Safe travels to you and your family.  Remember, in Vegas, there be dragons!

Larry, stay safe out there.

Dave good luck with the roof.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a cool and overcast morning.  Last weekend was a big bust football-wise. We are seeing Avatar this afternoon.  It's a three-hour movie, wow!

Have fun,

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. I always eat a light breakfast otherwise I feel loggy for most the day. Enjoy the family time.

Sitting here waiting on the clock to leave for the VA. I'll drop dad off at the eye clinic then head to sick call. The rash has spread but at least there's no hives this time.

I finished up the present wrapping yesterday so that part of the holiday is done.

Not much else happening this way today.

I hope everyone has a good day.
