Good morning Curt, Larry, ACLTom, TomO, James and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, sorry to hear that you didn't sleep well last night, hope you sleep better tonight.  Sounds like you are near the end of the kit build.

Larry, have fun at the bench if you make it there.

ACLTom, sounds like you had an interesting lunch yesterday, have fun at the bench later today.

TomO, interruptions at the bench seem to be a common theme, hope you have better luck today.

James, have fun working on the layout projects.

Jerry, hope you are feeling better today.

Welcome to the freezer where the current temperature is -16c (4f) and cloudy.  Managed some more time at the bench yesterday, I'll be posting an update later today.  Have some errands to run today and then hopefully some bench time.

Have a great day everyone.

Rain and "warm" with WARNING amounts of wind and overnight sharp drop to below freezing bound to keep us home and bench bound.

No idea the path of the day.  Time to check in with the "dispatcher"  ::)

I have 3 boxes of various Campbell bridge kits, not sure what or when I'll make anything with them.   ???

Enjoy the day.

Morning crew. Kind of cold here in Western NY. Rain later today. Lot's of bench time today also. Been working on the HOn30 rotary dumper getting the motors hooked up. Later will spend some time on the computer and play around with Fusion 360 again. Trying to figure out which CAD program is best to use for the new CNC machine I've got.

And Tom's link to the hobby shop doesn;t work. He forgot to buyt the "Y" in hobbyist. Here's the link.

Bright but chilly start in SE NH.  I'll head down and work on that HOn30 boxcar kit after breakfast.  The paper cutter came as expected yesterday, so maybe I'll start slicing the corrugated roofing material for the machine shop boiler room roof.  I attached double-stick tape to the back side before priming.

Good morning everyone.

48 now, sunny and 63 later here in Lake Havasu City.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Hope you sleep better tonight and have fun with the kit.

Dave, careful using the new slicer.

Bernd, good morning.

Karl, hope you find a good use for those bridges.

Ron, I'll be on the lookout for your update.

James, sounds like good day for family and friends yesterday.

TomO, wise not going to Milwaukee and have fun at the bench.

ACLTom, you cite one of the many reasons I'm not an organized religion follower.

Larry, hope the car isn't a terminal case.

Jerry, hope you're feeling better.

Philip, how are you?

Mike, any upstairs progress?

I left the family abode on Friday and drove down to Lake Havasu City.
I've been fighting off a bug that the youngest grandson brought brought home from school.
Haven't been able to completely shake it so today I'll drive back to Mohave Valley and to to the ER for some proper meds.
Don't really feel particularly very bad, just tired of the constant nose blowing.

A view from my campsite yesterday.

Morning everyone

Dave take that thing back off your post.  I don't care if its harmless or not.  I don't trust it!!!

Thanks for fixing the link

This is my go to paint store when it has SALES. You have to buy enough to amortize the cost of shipping. Not the fastest shipping either but I use the LHS or 70 miles to Hiawatha for quick buying

I also use Michtoy.com especially now that they carry the VMS line of clear varnishes but their  inventory isn't always the best

You're welcome Tom. Way back when i was a moderator on the Freerails forum. Just a habit I guess.  ;)

Howdy folks,

Curt, thanks for opening the lounge.

Lazy day. I primed and painted a few more details on the oil derrick. An outhouse is the last oil derrick scene structure, and it is painted and ready to assemble.

I have medical procedure early Tuesday morning and start a liquid diet tomorrow. Tuesday will be a low-key day, I hope.

Have fun,
mike

I did have the bridge parts all out on the table and a plan sheet laminated to a piece of ceiling tile....pondered and thought and after little progress on finding a starting point...put them all away and worked with some 3d stuff.  :-\
I like the timber bents but want to build a curved bridge, and the only curved plans are for the round verticals series of bridges Campbell made.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started the day with a walk at 58F and foggy. I walked a new route today that ended up being 0.12 miles shorter than my normal route. Yesterday I put up 2 awnings on the kit and a deck. After chores today I'll continue placing detail parts.

Nothing much else happening this way.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have fun with the diorama.

What's on your agenda for the day.

It's 38 with a high of 42 in New York. Freezing rain later and under a storm warning thru Wednesday; 7-14 inches so they say. Cars at the Shop and going there shortly to drop off the keys & have a chat with my mechanic. Stop at the store to pick up a few things. Maybe some bench time later on.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay warm.

An ugly start to the week, weather-wise.  We've had light rain and above freezing temps all night long.  The driveway is mostly slush, and I'll probably need to shovel what's left of our White Christmas before it freezes tonight.

I did some more work on the HOn30 car kit last night.  Today I have a choice between that and the corrugated iron roof for the boiler shop.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Currently 48, sunny and 65 later with lots of wind.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and enjoy adding the details.

Larry, hope the car news is good.

Dave, careful shoveling the slush.

Karl, what was the 3D print?

Mike, hope all goes well with tomorrow's procedure.

Jerry, hope the doc gets you feeling better today.

How's everyone else doing?

Drove back to Mohave Valley and went to the ER.
It was determined I have Flu A and got a prescription for Tamiflu and something for my cough.
Staying in the desert and away from the family till I'm ack to 100%.
