More seasonal temps in SE NH, but still sunny and dry.  My dogs are doing better, 2 nights without midnight walkies.  A neighbor said her dog got a bug last week, too, so there's definitely something going around.  Another PT session this morning, then down to the train room to wrap up the storeroom shelving.  Then I need to find my big box of boxes and work out what to put on the shelves.

I hope you make the train room!

Larry I look forward to your update.

Rick that's a great picture!!
You are so good at getting these great shots.

Tom are you going to publish the book so woe can all read it??

Morning Dave.  Glad the dogs are doing better.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/59.  Later on 65.
Izzy has a Vet appointment this am for her annual checkup.
Then not sure what the day will bring.
Hopefully and hour or so at the bench.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Morning all!
I actually started something I found at a train sale a couple years ago. One of those old abandoned box cars, part of a hobo scene from Plasticville. Two of them for 5 bucks. So last night I took one of the cars apart and narrowed it to On30. It's looking good. No photos yet.

I also found some fern at Hobby Lobby perfect for trees. So far so good. The package is 10 bucks and looks like it will make 3 or 4 trees.

Also sculpting Abraham Lincoln through the last few weeks/month time permitting. Refine refine refine.

Good morning curt, Larry, Rick, ACLTom, Dave, Jerry, Philip and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for coffee and breakfast Curt.  You're right about this forum and the old RR Lines forum, lots of great modeling and a group of people who are more that willing to share ideas, techniques and offer help.  I've learned a lot on the forums.  I remember the old Yahoo groups where there was so much negativity that I stop posting there.  Then I found the RR Line Forum and that all changed.

Larry, hope you have another productive day at the bench today.

Rick, enjoy the burger.

ACLTom, hope you have a very productive writing day today.

Dave, I'm sure the shelves will fill up in no time.

Jerry, Hope Izzy's vet appointment goes well.

Philip, as soon as I saw the figure, i thought, yup that's Abe.  Very nice work there.

It's currently 11c (52f) and sunny, another great day.  No modeling last night Is I decided to upgrade my skills in C++ as I plan to build some complex code to program a turntable using an Arduino and a stepper motor.  That should be an interesting project.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Congrats on the fourth wall.  Ditto for online friends.

Larry, congrats on the good bench day.  Looking forward to the finale.

Rick, wow, thanks for the beautiful photo, again!

TomACL, you'll get them next time on the lanes.

Dave, good to hear your dogs are better.  Good luck with the shelving finish.

Jerry, good luck to Izzy today.

Philip, congrats on the hobby finds.  Abe is looking good!

Ron, C++, that's nostalgic like listening to some old ZZ Top.

How is the rest of the group?

It's a bright morning, temp forecast 83F.  I'm upstairs getting ready to work on the lodge.

Have fun,
mike

We went to the Crisp Point lighthouse yesterday. That was after distributing the remainder of my Mother's ashes at Perch Lake N of Newberry

She and I had a lifelong contentious relationship and for some reason a talk I heard from that young man recently taken too early about parents. It kicked my heart to find a way to do so.

We're within 30 minutes of home. Anther nice day with decent traffic. We had a good week colors were behind expectations. Better in the upper mid state area today.

Grass to mow awaits I'm sure.

My Arduino project last year reminded me just how much I hate C based syntax, and the culture it engenders ('cleverness over comprehension.')

Good Morning All,

Breakfast today is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, pastry, english muffins, bacon, OJ, and soda.

Well I got up at 5 am to go walking this morning but it was raining. My weather app says it's will until 7 am and then thunderstorms later when it heats up. I'll try again tomorrow. Yesterday I cut the 4 walls off of the carrier sheet and stenciled one wall.

Today after animal chores and washing towels I'll head upstairs to the train room. Not much else planned for the day.

I forgot to mention a couple of days ago that Mia, one of the rescues was taken to her forever home and she immediately snuggled with her new owner. ;D

That's all I have today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. It is a little wet here on my side of town as well.

Karl, the lighthouse and the serenity of the lake photo are nicely done. I had a contentious relationship with my father for several years. However, in his last ten years we became very close.

I spent 10 hours yesterday on the book. Today will more of the same.

Tomorrow, I'll spend some time going through all the forum posts I'm been missing.

Have a safe, healthy and happy day everyone.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice one of the critters has a forever home. Enjoy
the time on your build.

Tom that's a lot of book time. If I spent that much time my neck would be killing me. Have fun with it.

What's on your plate today.

It's a clear sunny 38 with a high of only 69 in New York. The end of the week will be in the lower 80's; so They say. Logged in some more bench time yesterday and hopefully some more this am. This afternoon a 1:1 item will ensue.

Have  great day!! Be well.

Sun and clear in lower Michigan.  The nice weather lasts until next Tuesday is today's guess.

PT is early off this morning, back into the grind.  It looks like the mower could use a workout this afternoon.  We noticed that the Fall Harvest is in full swing as we returned home.  Lots of dust and slow moving, GTHOOTW (Get the Hell Out of the Way) heavy truck and machinery holding up things on the roads.

Later all.

Tom, I could write a book.   ::)

It got down to 39 last night, another sunny, dry but cooler day in SE NH.  High of 64 predicted.

I got nothing done on the layout yesterday.  Instead after PT I went to a talk about meeting people in Peru, Morocco and Nepal.  The underlying theme was "what these people go through to get their kids an education."

Good morning everyone.

Portland weather: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and glad Mia found a home.

Dave, maybe you'll work on the layout today.

Karl, thanks for those two nice pictures.

Larry, have fun at the bench.

ACLTom, hope you make good progress on the book.

Mike, what's happening at the bench?

Philip, thanks for sharing your box car project and Abe.

Ron, I studied some C in computer class but never worked with it.
It wasn't as much fun as VB.

Jerry, hope Izzy did well at her checkup.

How's everyone else doing.

Other than getting the burger and shake I mentioned yesterday nothing much happened.
Rained most of the day.
Gym this morning then not sure what else.

A scene while hiking at Rainier.

Morning!

Slept in today again. Did someone mention the perks of retiring? :o  9:30 wake-up is a bit crazy.

Glad to be back with you all.

The wife's cat, Ms. Claire is happy I'm in the shop. She hangs out with me purring away.

Thanks for checking out Rail splitter Abe! Far from done. Heels, cuffs and lapels are on deck. I'm getting a pile of watermelons from the excess.

Have a great day!
