TomO/Tloc

Good morning Crew. 61f degrees now and maybe 84 later. I'm still enjoying it as it's dry and low humidity. Sometimes Wisconsin weather can be awesome. The high on Monday is predicted in the low seasonable 60's.

Volleyball on Campus at 1pm. The Women won the hockey game yesterday. The 3rd game in a row the score was 5-0. They look pretty good as expected. In 4 games they have score 24 and given up 2. The speed the team plays at is relentless

We had an ICE raid in the neighborhood Saturday morning at 3am. The deported person from June who was flown out of the country in July was arrested again along with the people who are living in the adjoining houses. I knew nothing about it until last night sitting on the front porch when one of the walking neighbors mentioned it. The neighborhood watch page on FB mentioned it this morning. There was still yellow police action tape around 2 houses this morning as I went outside this morning for my walk.

The granddaughter went to the Homecoming football game Friday night. The son in law said as they walked onto the grandstand she was greeted like an arriving queen by one of the sections. Harper may have Down Syndrome but she is very social and usually gets along with everyone. We were at their house for pictures last night as she and a bunch of other "special needs" kids attended the dance as a group. Her mom texted the family group after the dance that "she had a good time". That's all you can ask for

I'm staying out of the train room today but may go in after dinner. I was invited to go to Hiawatha Hobbies with the grandson and 2 of his friends along with the SIL who would drive. But I'm going to the VB game. The boys are buying some slot cars and the SIL will pick up an 0 scale diesel for a weathering commission for me to weather. You guys think HO or N are expensive, $600 for a Sd70ace in Atlas O!

Enjoy the day

Good morning everyone.

Hood River weather: 41 now and sunny, with a high near 68.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and enjoy working on the kit.

TomO, that's a great story about the granddaughter.
Glad I don't model O scale.

Jerry, hope you make it to the bench.

ACLTom, have fun bowling and thanks for another great Zane photo.

Larry, hope something good comes along to do.

What's everyone else doing?

Had a nice lunch with my friend.
We had delicious cuban sandwiches but their beer selection wasn't what I normally like to have.
We then went to a couple of locations to enjoy some of Oregons beauty.
I'm leaving today and driving to a trailhead where I'll hike tomorrow.
Star is going to miss chasing the deer here.

This is where the East Fork and West Fork of the Hood River meet.
This photo is looking at the West Fork.

Good morning Curt, Larry, ACLTom, Jerry, TomO, Rick and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, will be looming forward to your update.

Larry, enjoy whatever you decide to do today.

Tom, have fun bowling with Pam.

Jerry, hope you make it to the bench, and if you do, have fun.

TomO, sounds like your granddaughter had a great time, enjoy the Volleyball game.

Rick, drive safe, I don't remember the last time I had a cuban sandwich.

Well another gorgeous sunny day with the temperature currently 20c (68f).  Spent yesterday finishing the shelves in the shed, today's plan is to populate them.  I did make it to the bench yesterday but no modeling got done but the bench is nice and clean now. ;D  Today after the shed shelf population plan I'll watch the F1 race and then maybe make it to the bench.

Have a great day everyone.

Mini heat wave in SE NH, up to 81 today, that's 18 degrees above average.  Weather should break on Wednesday, hopefully with much-needed rain.

Yesterday I took the machine shop parts to the local NMRA meet for 'show and tell'.  But I stopped short on the trip so I have to repair some damage to the frame, which is very fragile.  Fortunately, that won't show, even if I have to splint the parts.

Sun and breeze today, 80s by the peak, one more day and it moderates, and might rain a bit.  That's needed.

Daughter and Son in Law were here a bit helping move some heavy stuff.

My SPARTANS live down to expectations yesterday.  So I heard.  LIONS on tv later.

Enjoy the day.

Good afternoon folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck with the doors.

Larry, hope you have a restful but fun day.

Rick, safe travels to your next campsite.  That photo is a fly fisherman's dream.

Ron, sounds like you were 1:1 productive. Hope you make it to the bench later.

Dave, good luck with the machine shop repair.

Karl, glad you had help with the heavy stuff.

How is the rest of the crew?

I made a little progress upstairs on the gondola and layout.  I rearranged structures and developed the parameters for the remaining buildings in Phase I. I'll post some pictures later.  Watching the boys play the Jets.

Have fun,
mike

I have no clue what causes it, and others that have looked at it similarly don't know the cause.  When I see it, I remove it.

BUT it's harmless.  (If it actually -did something-, you wouldn't see it, because your web browser would take that as 'code to be executed' rather than 'text to be displayed.')  My best guess is it's code to block "Log in with Google" that shouldn't appear here, because this website doesn't do that.

Afternoon.

Jake the Garter snake showed up and Gena is tripping! ;D  He's put a damper on harvest..lol Canned 10 lbs of butternut yesterday. What a job slicing that stuff!

I'm parking Abe next to Tiny Turner to cheer her up!

Primed the Hobo cars last night and today.

So how was bowling Tom?  ;D

Jerry, for what it's worth, the fragment of HTML or CSS that you see isn't displayed when I view the page 6 hours later.

And Dave, the RRMofPA Middle Division layout was staffed by a volunteer, who knew it had been built elsewhere, but Dave Frary's name didn't come up.

Good Morning,

The coffee pot's on and ready to go as well as your other favorite morning bevies. Breakfast is sausage country gravy over homemade biscuits w/ sides of crispy bacon and/or breakfast sausages and hash browns if you so choose.

What's going on in your world.

Its. going to be a warm one with a high of 85 and currently 62 in New York. Some early morning errands to be run then maybe some bench time later. Not much else going on here.

Have a great day!! Be well and enjoy the Fall weather.

Good morning everyone.

It will be sunny and 60's here in Oregon today but only 43 now.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Hope those errands don't keep you from the bench too long.

Have to keep it very short today.
I'm on my phone and barely have a Starlink connection because I'm in a forest.
Star and I are doing a hike this morning.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, Larry, Rick and later arrivals.  High 40s and clear skies in south-central PA, so warmer later.  Checking out in a few minutes to hit the road for Gettysburg.  If all goes as planned, I'll collect the kid early afternoon and be home before midnight.

I'm up early, fasting bloodwork this morning.  Another warm day, 83 predicted.  Rain starting late tomorrow as a cold front arrives.  That would be a good thing.

Well, I went to put clothes in the dryer and my post disappeared. :-X I ran into a materials issue on the kit yesterday so I sent off a email to Brett about it and I'm waiting to see what he says.

I hope everyone has a good day.
