Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, glad the car repair was cheap this time.

Karl, glad you are making progress on the 3D printing front.

ACLTom, good luck bowling today and enjoy dinner.

TomO, I don't remember the last time I went to a movie.

Rick, 2 state parks in one day?  Sounds like you will be busy today.

Dave, Have fun with the window glazing.

Currently 7c (45f) and sunny, it'd been a few days since we have seen the sun here.  No modeling last night, tonight I'll probably watch the hockey game.

Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Good news about the battery.

Larry, sounds like fun at the bench.  Good luck.

TomACL, wishing you good luck on the lanes.

TomO, indeed, not much on at the movies.

Rick, wishing you a great time on the hikes.  That is beautiful country.

Dave, good luck with the push broom figure receipt.  You have plenty of fun stuff left in the machine shop.

Philip, it is hard to find anything that isn't made in China.

Jerry, hope Diane's doc visit went well.  Good luck with your voting.

Ron, wishing your hockey team good luck.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright day, but cool here at 69°F, and getting colder tonight at 41°F.  I've been offline for a while, down with a cold or something.  This morning was the first day I felt like going upstairs.  I took photos of the derrick and added the details to the stock car. I forgot to add the decals, so that is the next task on the stock car.

I plan to scratchbuild the remaining four structures on the main street.  The post office is ready to assemble.  Next will be a barber shop, which I'll design as an adobe structure, a hotel, and finally a sheriff's office. The designs are whirling around in my head, bumping into the rocks...

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, english muffins, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Woke up a bit early this morning. While waiting on the coffee pot I looked at the very bright Beaver Moon through the window and thought I've never seen a beaver in the wild. I think I have seen them in zoo's though.

Currently I'm working on the platform for a roof water tank that sits on top of the pattern shop. All the legs are angled so it's a bit fiddly.

First though it's floor day. :-\ Joy, but with the animals and Dad frequently dropping food they need cleaned and steamed frequently.

Jerry enjoy the grandkids visit.

Rick safe travels and happy trails.

Tom how did you and Pam bowl?

Larry when's your next chapter coming out?

Time for a bowl of cereal.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Curt, thanks for breakfast. The OJ is fresh and cold.

Rick, love the trail picture. This sure is a beautiful country. Enjoy the hikes and weather.

Pam and I bowled very well yesterday. She averaged 146 and I averaged 204 for three games. We took all 8 points.

I haven't decided what project to start next. I have many in mind but I really need to get some brass painted and sounded for the A&S RR.

Pam wants to go to IHOP for the senior menu. I told her I ate at Curt's table and she said "Not the same". I wonder who wins this one?

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Tom

Good morning from Wisconsin 45 now maybe 53 later.

A trip to the LHS  all of 4 miles for a few windows and doors for a HO scale 16'x42' engine shed for the 1965 era PNW paper mill I've designed for a friend. I've added the sketch Ai did with my input. That's the build. I followed the materials list and cut sheet it created yesterday so I'll start putting it this morning.

Volleyball on Campus at 7pm. Still #11 Wisconsin takes on #22 Minnesota. All the remains matches are against top 25 teams before the NCAA playoffs that they are close to missing out on for 1st time in Coach Sheffield's 13 year rule. Should be higher excitement finish to a high energy sport already

Enjoy the day

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and yogurt.  Good luck with the water tank legs.

TomACL, congrats on the good bowling scores.  Enjoy your real breakfast.

TomO, good luck assembling the engine facility.

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's another bright morning at 41°F.  This afternoon is forecast for 76°F.  I hope to begin the decal process on the stock car, weather it, and call it done. Work continues on the oil derrick.

Have fun,
mike

Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have fun with the floors but don't take too long. Sometimes the "fiddly bits" makes us slow down and think; not a bad thing. I be putting out another chapter some time this week.

Tom good news on the bowling. You know what they say "Happy wife = happy life"; but I'm sure you're aware.

Mike good luck with the decals and have fun at the bench.

Tom O. that will be a nice looking shed. One of the guys that's on a Star Base that I write for, Star Trek, uses AI to design ships; pretty neat what he can do with that.

What's on your plate today.

It's a cloudy 44 with a high of 58 in New York. You'll never guess what's forecasted for next Monday and Tuesday.....ugh. Maybe some more bench time this am. This afternoon I think it's a trip to Home Depot for one of their overpriced bathroom faucets since ours needs to be replaced. Then tomorrow It'll be crawling under the bathroom sink for installation.

Have a great day!! Be well.

As usual, I got less done than I expected yesterday.  But I did go vote and 'renew my license to complain' about City Hall.  Dermatologist appointment later this morning, I think the wart on my knuckle has come back.  Ugh.  Otherwise, it's a gray day, seasonable temps.  Today's a break in the wind, lots of wind yesterday and more wind due tomorrow.  The one dog really hates being windblown...

I sent a plea to Don Tichy asking if I could buy window glazing for the -60- windows in the Machine Shop kit.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Caliente weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
I remember having to cut angles for a roof mounted pulley that I had no idea how to measure and cut.
Frederic on the RR-Line provided the correct mathematical solution that made it easy.
However, I don't remember what it was.
An internet search I'm sure will provide the answer.

Larry, mis-casters are often wrong.

Mike, I'm glad you're feeling better and back upstairs making progress.

TomO, neat looking engine house and I know you'll make your model look exactly like the picture.

ACLTom, congratulations on the bowling and enjoy iHop.

Ron, did your team win?

Jerry, hope it was all good news for Diane at the Dr.

Philip, there's a guy on YouTube that does outstanding product reviews.
He just did one on security lights but dang if I can find it now.
When I find it I'll post it.

Greg, you out there?

Karl, any more 3D progress?

I went to both state parks yesterdays and hiked the main trails in each.
Then I drove a little more south towards Las Vegas.
I'll try making the Vegas outskirts today so I can hit the gym there.

Another shot from the Panorama trail.

3 seconds of sun has been hidden by a grey blanket already this morning, yesterday the overcast waiting 10 minute down the road on our "Might Be the Last Color" road trip :-\  so we ended up over in GRapids, bought some custom ground coffee for the Doll and I went to the LHS for a jar of Tamiya SMOKE and a Woodland Scenics rock mold.  Bit the bullet and didn't look too close at the little Plyouth HO critters they had for sale.  Tempting, but what for?

Tractor repair in store for the 1:1 today, picked up a new battery and new ground and positive cables should be in at the tractor parts store today.  Weather is going to be in the 50s, a bit of breeze.

TomO that drawing is... :o , I see why the graphics designers are in a panic...if that is consumer level output.  I understand one of the programs will draw .stl files for 3d printing.  Happily my graphics designer daughter just changed to a marketing job for a commercial builder leaving a design job in the advertising business.  She has told of her usage of ChatGTP(sp) in her work. Bruce DUTCHMAN DeYoung posted some photos online recently that amazed me.  MAYbe if I get the FUNdamentals of my 3d printing figured out better, making slight progress, I will look into some of that, too.  It might be a long winter here in the Northern US, "S" is in the weekend forecast, they've had some on the ground in the UP already.  :( add that to the curse of early darks... :-X

I did vote in the election by early absentee ballot, my candidate won, by 10 votes. :D

Be well all, Mike, hope you're feeling better.  Great work all in your projects.

Good morning Curt, ACLTom, TomO, Mike, Larry, Dave, Rick, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, hopefully the floor cleaning goes quick and you can get back to the kit.

ACLTom, great bowling results and enjoy breakfast with Pam.

TomO, nice little engine project there.

Mike, have fun with the decaling project, hope it goes well.

Larry, good luck with the faucet change out, crawling around on one's back is never fun.

Dave, hope Don comes through for you.

Rick, the Canadiens lost in a shoot out >:(

Karl, hope the tractor repair goes well.

It's another overcast day here with rain in the forecast and a current temperature of 5c (41f).  Not sure what tonight will bring.

Have a great day everyone.
