Sun and 40s in Michigan today.

"All done" is not in my vocabulary, Rick.

Felicitations to all the B'days in Badger Land.

1:1 a chance today. We'll see.

Heard on another forum that Atlas bought Micro-Train in the N scale world. Bought up all the assets to move elsewhere and one post said current employees were told to pack up, clean out their desks and you're done.

That is it for now.

Jerry, that soup sounds wonderful.

Ron, oops, then good luck receiving the RDC.

Karl, hope your day went well.

Dave, how was the concert?

Dave B, we have Cheerios today.

Philip, hope the trip to Fort Knox went well.

How is the rest of the gang?

Planning on continuing work on the oil well today.  I made a lot of progress on the various wheels yesterday.  Today, I hope to get to the NBWs for them.

Good morning Larry, Curt, TomO, Rick, Karl, Mike and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, hope the Honey-do list is a short one.

Curt, hope you get the instructions figured out today.

TomO, hope Terry's appointment goes well.

Rick, safe travels

Karl, I heard about Atlas buying Micro-trains too.

Mike, have fun working on the oil well today.

Freezing rain here with the current temperature at 0c (32f), it's a good day to work from home.  I already dropped the Mrs car off at the garage to get a tune-up and the winter tires put on.  I have to take a couple of online safety courses today to keep my credentials up to date.  After all that I think I'll work on the backdrop or the boxcars, or maybe both, we shall see how it goes.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Well, I'm back after a week off. I started out with a head cold. No fever and the chills only lasted a few hours. The past week I was just to dang tired to do anything. I stayed off the forum and pretty much stayed in the house for five days.

I got a doctor app. and was told I was border line anemic and needed more iron in my system and more rest. He asked me what my activities were on a normal day. He also advised I was probably burning the candle at both ends and to get more sleep and rest. I told him it was hard building a railroad empire.

I don't have sleep apnea but my sleep is connected to my anemia and visa versa. I don't sleep well due to low iron in the blood. He gave me a B-12 shot and now I feel much better.

So, I'll ease back into modeling. In the mean time, Pam has a very bad head cold and I just got her back from the doctor. When it rains, it pours, or so they say.

Hobby on.

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Watch out for the honey-to-list!!

Rick great video.  Thanks for sharing with us.
Yes seems everything is going up in price.

Karl go easy on the 1:1 projects.

Mike looking for the update.

Ron you have choices today skip work and work on the cars!!

Tom hope you fell better after the shot.  B-12 works wonders for people that are anemic.

Weather in South Jersey is cloudy going to 54 today.
The soup Diane made was delicious!!

Hopefully the honey-do-list is coming to and end.
I haven't had a good day at the bench in a week.  Always something that needs to be done.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Tom, you just need to eat more nails  ;D   Seriously, getting a diagnosis like that is more than half the problem, anemia is pretty easy to resolve, I think.  Were you getting night sweats?

Dave,

No, no night sweats, just "Tossin and Turnin all night" as Bobby Lewis sings.

Good Morning All,

I guess no one wanted to open today.

Breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at a very pleasant 62F. I put together the windows and doors for the office. After reading the directions several more times I figured out what I was supposed to do with the front office wall.

I have an errand first thing then I'm headed to the workbench. I will probably do a build update today or tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Yeah, a late opening...  Either people are still sleeping, or they're up early shopping for Thanksgiving.  I'll be heading to the first Winter Farmer Market of the season, to get some locally grown mushrooms for our stuffing.

Then I'll head back down to the train room and work more on the walls of the machine shop.  I think it's time to actually glue the two side walls into position.  I need to figure out what kind of adhesive to glue the acrylic to the wood that doesn't look funky, maybe a good job for Canopy Glue...

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt, much appreciated. I'll have some OJ for now.

Pam is in bed with a bad cough and chest congestion. Doc has her on all kinds of stuff. Doc say there are two different strains of flu going around. I think Pam has both.  8)

I hope to get back to the barn build some today.

Hope all are staying healthy.

Good morning everyone.

I think the rain here in AZ has finally stopped and it will be cloudy with a high of 68 today.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Good news on the kit progress and I'll look for your update.

ACLTom, glad you are feeling better and I hope Pam feels much better soon.
Red meat has lots of iron.

Dave, have fun at the market.

Terry, how are you?

Jerry, hope the only thing that needs to be done today is working at the bench.

Ron, hope today is a lot less busy.

Mike, how'd the NBW install go?

Karl, more 1:1 today?

TomO, how was Terry's appointment?

Larry, did you start working on your new parts?

Other than driving back to Mohave Valley, not much happened yesterday.
Rained all day.
Kids are home from school all week so time will be spent with them.
