Snow prep for today's activity, starting as soon as I exit here.

We are right on the line between 8-10 inches and 6-8 inches.  Probably get the Deere out sometime later.

We also have Thanksgiving II at the other girl's today.

Be safe all.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee and breakfast.

TomACL, get well soon.

Dave B, good luck with the airbag.

Rick, hiking with the kids sounds like fun.

Karl, hope the sneaux isn't too deep.

Jerry, hope yesterday was peaceful.

Ron, sounds like a fun weekend with trains.

Dave, what's next after the machine shop?

How is the rest of the crew?

All went well yesterday.  I'm looking forward to a quiet day, some college football, and prep for my sister's visit tomorrow.

Have fun,
mike

I have a 'stack' of half-completed projects.  I'll probably return to the NESL/Ambroid coach kit and do the roof, and then will go back to the Lamson & Goodnow project.  That's mostly scenery, rather than construction.

But there's still a fair amount of work on the machine shop, roofing and trim, plus some fit and assembly on its location.

In other news, one of our dogs caught what seems to be a 5-day bug the day before Thanksgiving.  She's had this before, but it's 4 days of The Runs and keeping an eye to take her out when she has to go.

Good Morning,

Keeping it short; still lots to do in the "winter wonderland". It FINALLY stopped sn*wing; received about 18 inches of white crap. To make matters worse my snowblower decided to "crap the bed" so I broke out a "steam shovel"; my steam and a shovel. Wet and heavy crap that I ended up doing twice. My neighbor came over with his plow truck this am and lended a much need helping hand. Need to figure out what to do about new equipment and soon; at 74 I can't be shoveling the long driveway any more.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Philip thanks for your concern!! I usually take my time doing strenuous stuff and am aware of my limits; lots of rest breaks. He is a good neighbor and have known him for years. If he sees me struggling with something he'll usually offer a helping hand; plus he like to BS. Oddly enough this afternoon I found the problem with my machine and hopefully I have it fixed. Tried it out on some snow and it seemed to work; just need it to get me through the winter.

Had a fine day at the daughter's, great food and laughs.

Snow started right at 12 noon after I did the marker sticks in the drive and ran to the store for a loaf of the wrong kind of bread.  Planning to wait until daylight tomorrow to move any snow.  No where to be until sometime Monday when I have my semi-annual Minute with the Doc to refill my Rxs.  I refer to him as Fruit of the Loom...visits are so brief... ;)

Coming home after day it was near white out at times, the last dozen miles appeared no one had traveled to the West in some time.  I 'flew' through it all at 30/per.    One startling episode as two deer suddenly appeared in my path.  I split the pair as I braked, one squeeked by the front and the other hesitated going off to the right side and managed to miss them both. :o  It appears we had ~6" indicating the inch an hour guess.  Looking out the back a bit ago the snow has been blowing up against the West windows and obscuring the view.  The wind is still howling.

Just checked, SPARTY is up by 3 with 2:30 to go. Still time to go Oh-fer... :o  Unable to find the game on the streaming "services" we have since canning Directv.  Nope they pulled it off 38-28!! :-X
That's it for here this eve.

Morning Gents,

Set up an omelet station so go nuts; morning beverages are at the end of the counter.

Karl sounds like winter is in full swing in your neck of the woods. Glad to hear you missed the deer.

What are your plans for the day.

It's 31 with a high of 38 supposedly. Received a dusty overnight but nothing to worry about. Need to take the one tire off the snowblower and hopefully take it in to my mechanic for a dismount, cleaning the rust off the steel wheel then put 'er back together; he's done this for me before. Before that some bench time since the past 2 days have been a bust in that regard.

Have a great day!!! Be well and keep warm.

Treated them to Burger King afterward.

Kids got bags full of candy.
There's a video of the parade on my YT channel if you're interested.
Heading to Kingman again today to do some hiking tomorrow.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. Snow blower? UGH! :-* I hope you get it working.

Late posting today. Started out with a walk at 57F and supposed to get to the 80's later. Back in shorts. I've already completed today's chores and sitting here drinking a OJ before heading to the workbench. Both MOH and daughter have sore throats and congestion. Joy.

Tomorrow MOH has jury duty and Friday she's driving up to SC with Sunny who is getting big girl surgery (11 mos). It's so much cheaper in SC that it is worth the trip. Our oldest skunk Elvis (9 yrs) is rapidly losing weight but is still eating normally. He was a favorite during the rescue events. And so it goes.

Mike enjoy your family.

Rick great photo of the grandkids. It's a keeper.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Hope you get your tire fixed.

Mike have a nice day with your sister and BIL.

Rick great picture of the grandkids.
I hope your not spoinling them to much!!  ;D

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/47.  Then rain on and off most of the day.
The outside lights are just about done.
And Diane is working on decorating the inside.
Maybe some just maybe some time at the bench later.

Everyone have a wonderful day!! :)

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry.

Curt, good luck with Sunny's surgery in SC.

Mike, enjoy the family visit with your sister.

Rick, looks like the kids had a great time.

I'm much better today and the sore throat is gone but so is my energy level. Pam wants to get out the Christmas stuff and I'll taking my time doing it.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for the coffee Larry!

Rick, crazy prices on meat now.

Mike, I'm working on a re-working a dynamite shed and some raised letter signs. The actual walls on the buiding are going back to the drawing board.

We are waiting for the big storm but nothing yet. A lot of wind and some freezing rain so far.

I just noticed a couple of new things in O scale. This fellow is now reselling selling PFM figures again cheap.

PFM

Cumberland shop, KY is also selling scale figures and they look nice.
