Morning all,

Late for me this fine day. Pam took me to breakfast and then we ran several errands.

I'm in the train shed looking to make a change to the Koontz build. It will involve a new back wall.

Have a safe and warm day everyone. Hope all ya'll are doing well.

Tom

Has any manufacturer made a scale model of this one?

This may be the Mother of all industrial sites?

Just maybe.....a scratchbuild.

I'm glad you climbed it because I'm to old for that. Great visuals on the components.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Philip. Fingers crossed no 1:1 projects today.

Started out here with a feel like temp of 48F. Although the inside temp is 68F it feels cold to me. Yesterday I took the broken canister to UPS for return and reimbursement. After that I spent a couple of hours on details.

Today will be more of the same (details) and not much else planned for the day.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Philip.

I found out my Koontz build thread is locked. I tried to unlock it and can't. My message was that it was locked by an Administrator and I can't unlock it. I sent Craig a message asking why it was locked. I'll advise when I get something back.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Philip, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  The shed is looking good.

Curt, enjoy the details.

TomACL, good luck with the thread.

Jerry, easy on the shoveling.

Dave, agree on climbing stuff.

TomO, good luck on the layout.

Ron, the boxcars are looking great.

Karl, it's been a tough season for many of us.

Rick, is it cold out there?

How are the rest of the gang?

It's a cold morning but warming later to the 50s. I haven't been upstairs in a few days.  Maybe today.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Oil Derrick and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Rick

Good morning everyone.

48 now, 68 and sunny later.

Philip, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Shed looks excellent.

Mike, it's a little chilly in the morning but warms up nicely later.

ACLTom, I can't imagine why your thread would be locked.

Curt, hope you get a new pool part quickly.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

No hiking or Costco yesterday.
Yesterday was strictly a travel day.
Hiking will be today and Costco probably on Thursday.

I'm on my phone so sorry no photo today.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Philip thanks for breakfast this morning. Neat little shed, you don't often see one with a rounded roof; sweeeeeet.

Curt have fun with the details.

Tom didn't know an Admin would ever lock a build thread; odd.

Mike hope you make it to the bench today.

Rick good morning.

What's going on in your world.

It's 23 with a high of 27 here. Temps going up the next 3 days and may even get into the low 50's......yippee. Melt the sn^w and ice on the roofs before it gets cold again. Made it to the bench briefly yesterday but plan on this morning for a little bit; stating the roof on the Shop. That's about it here.

Have a great day!! Be well and be safe.

I think what happened is someone accidentally clicked on 'report post', which automatically locks the thread.  It should be unlocked now.

Good morning from Wisconsin. 14f degrees now and 38 later, a nice warm for a Tuesday.

I should get some bench time in. Spent almost 2.5 cutting lumber for frames yesterday at the friend's house. I cut and he assembled. They are laid out on top of the 1st deck and will be fitted to create the 2nd deck at Wednesday's work session. That will be the last work session for me for 2025 unless I do something to my layout/diorama. It's been a good year with 24 Ops sessions with one more to finish the year on Saturday. Tomorrow's work session will be #41 for the year. It's been a good time.

I had for the 3rd drawing in a row only 1 number in the Powerball drawing. I buy 5 lines

It is movie day but I just looked over the choices and if Terry really wants to go I'll go but...

Enjoy the day

Sun is showing this morning,  8) with temps in the teens rising to the low-mid 30s.

Sad day yesterday, cancelled my ops trip and accompanied the Doll to the vet's with her cat that has been battling an insipid infection since around labor day.  We consulted with the vet about the lack of improvement and made the difficult decision to relieve her from the burden and had her put to sleep.  Not an easy thing to do.

I've an Rx to fetch today and may run the truck "through the wringer" as one of the Doll's garage customers used to refer to the carwash.  It's certainly well coated with dried salt.

Bench time later, maybe.

Philip, great looking little building.  I love little buildings.  btw, are you building the 20 mule team?  I've picked up and set back down those kits several times over the years...what scale does that approximate?

Well, time to move along, oatmeal is about ready.

Be well all

Good morning Philip, Curt, ACLTom, Mike, Rick, Larry, Dave, TomO, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Philip, Nice shed you have there.

ACLTom, hope your thread issue gets resolved.

Karl, sorry to hear about your cat, it is never easy to lose a beloved pet.

Have to keep it short as I have a busy day.  Current temperature is -7c (20f) and sunny.  No modeling last night as 1:1 stuff ate up my time, we shall see what tomorrow brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning everyone

Philip thanks for coffee & breakfast.
Nice little building you have there,

Curt is there end to the details?

Tom I see it's unlocked now.

Mike hope you make it upstairs today.

Rick have a nice day hiking.  And no more mornings without pictures!!  ;)

Larry good luck making it to the bench.

Morning Dave.

TomO try to enjoy the movie!

Karl sorry to hear about the cat.

Ron I saw your latest update nice work.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/22.  Later on 33.
It is so slippery here I can't believe the lousy job they did plowing this time.
We have to go out and get some ice melt for the walkways and driveway before somebody slips and brakes there a*s!

If I only could get more time at the bench I might be able to show something!!  :(
Between that and my fingers not working worth a dam!!

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

No men, I'm not climbing tipples anymore. That is for the brave and bold. Those boys are crazy!

Karl, Sorry about your cat... The 20 mule team is around 1/48th I think. I used a mule on other projects and they look ok, perhaps a bit large. Must be the oats!

I have a question for the group.
What kinda paint do you use on castings and 3d prints that are suppose to look like wood? I have been experimenting and tried some cheap "melted chocolate". I think I have found a presentable match but it is still tends to be dark like furniture? Thanks~
