Morning all,

Forty five degrees this morning, headed to a high of fifty one.  Brrr.

Busy here yesterday as we're residing the house.  The materials and dumpster came yesterday and I had to make sure there's space for the wife's van to enter/exit the garage as the driveway is now blocked on each side.  My vehicle will stay out overnight.   :P  Mowed and brought in the outside umbrella from the deck.

I need to total my expenses for the trip to send in for the company to pay me back.  Will probably study Medicare plans in the next few days to make that decision as well.

Need to repair a gap in the rails where I have a derailment issue.  Hope to get to that today as well.

This pic is from a lower angle than yesterday's.  Quite a nice scene.

Good morning  Dr. Jeff and all that follow.  Ned to take ma to a Dr. appointment later ,so I took the day off. I think some organizing is in order to get ready for winter projects. A New England farm sign I found on the interwebs.

8) Sun and wind from the East will make for a chilly day in Michigan.

Some outside tasks today. Today's 50s may be warmest for a few as winter slowly snake into the picture  :(

Be well all.

Another nice photo, Jeff.

Afternoon all,

A nice fall day down here in sunny Central Florida. Low 70's and the humidity isn't too bad. I'm about to head off to the workbench to try and get a few hours in (if my tablet doesn't distract me).

Have a great one!

Well, I had an hour before PT starts after taking the dogs out, so I connected the DCC-EX controller and the WiThrottle on my iPhone.  (The DCC-EX documentation uses EngineDriver, an Android-only throttle which rules me out, but they argue 'should be similar with other throttle applications.)  Before I put a loco on it, I checked the track voltage with the AC setting on my Voltmeter, it said 4.5v (input voltage to the DCC-EX was 12v.)

Then I put the loco I've tested on DCC, dialed in its number, and sure enough, it's alive!

Next major step will be configuring the DCC-EX for DC output, and putting a DC-only loco on the track to see how that works.
