Morning all,

Last day of November.  We got about ten inches of white stuff yesterday.  I did three trips, one pushing, one with the blower (which is running very rough) and one trip to clear a space in the back for the dog.  The city hasn't gotten to plowing our street yet, I suppose I'll need to dig out that drift once they do.

Fixed the non running FT units.  The decoders in them (Loksound), have a weird feature that F9 shuts off the motors.  The sounds/lights work, but they don't move.  Hit F9 again and they work fine.  The F3 their matched with has the same decoder, but it still ran.  Very odd.

Today I'll start dusting off the trains.  My grandson will comment that they are dusty, which is interesting as his parents I don't believe know how to clean, and their house is a disaster.

It's cloudy (I looked up through the skylight to verify this, to see a line of geese flying south), and chilly.  We'll be at real winter temps later this week.

I ended up taking one dog to the vet ER yesterday.  I had them do the full check-up, including abdominal ultrasound, to rule out all the Bad but unlikely stuff.  That all came back negative.  We came home with a couple of prescriptions, and the warning it'll probably take another 2 days for the runs to stop.  We were up twice overnight, which is better than 4 times the night before.  After the second time, I just stayed up since it was nearly time to get up anyway.  She is eating, which is good in part because that makes it much easier to give her the medicine.

Later today I'll head down to James Van Bokkelen's house and drop off some wood for a project.  With the sick dog, that'll be my only 'Tour de Chooch' visit.

Lots and lots of snow here and still falling at 0930.  No place to head so will wait a bit before I venture out.  It looks like 5-6 inches of snow on the porch rails.  :o

Had a close encounter with a pair of deer on the way home last evening, driving 30ish and suddenly there were two of the, one made it past on front passing R to L and the other stayed to the right. :o

SPARTY pulled one out in their game, 38-28 over Maryland.  End of season.

Eeezing into today.  Everyone be safe, drive safe, careful with all the snow across the North.

Good morning, I decided to check in and see what you guys were up to this morning.  Looks like modeling season is getting going based on the threads.

We only got 6 inches of the white stuff so my plowing this morning will be quick.

Have a great day,

Good morning, all. Tour de Chooch has brought me 5 visitors so far. Not as many as when I first joined the Tour, mostly friends and fellow B&M fans.  I'm getting a little done on the layout in between.  Thick overcast and high 30s on the NH seacoast, with rain forecast in the next hour or two.

Very nicely done, Kanthima!  Thanks for sharing, Dave!

Enjoy the rain... we have around five inches of white gifts from above stacking up here in the northern mitten, the temp is hovering around freezing, and more gifts are expected to arrive in fifteen minutes.  County plow just went up the road and the next-door neighbor is vigorously plowing and scraping his driveway.  Bleah!

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Thanks, Dave, Pete and Tom.  Newburyport is only 7 miles away, so a fair number of visitors were familiar with it. One former B&M signalman remembered the area from when it had been his territory.  It was a good day despite cold rain as sunset approached.
