Morning all,

Breakfast this morning is what ever you can find/order and or fix. I'm a bit lazy this morning.

Curt, safe travels home for you and Kathy.

I forgot to mention the Judge's Birthday yesterday. Thanks Jerry for reminding me.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BILL!

I'm in the train shed working on the Horwood Bros. build. still.  ;D

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Morning Gents,

Tom I'll grab a coffee this morning, thanks. Happy Belated Birthday to Bill when you see him. You're in the shed early; enjoy.

What's the rest of you up to?

It's a sunny 42 with a high of 54. Usual Friday errands then probably whack away at the dirt pile later this am. Maybe a little bench time after errands. The USPS dropped off a cardboard sleeve yesterday and low and behold it was my first ever copy of the On30 Annual. What a great mag with shiny high quality pages and great articles. Some of the guys from the On30 Group on FB had articles not only of their incredible layouts but also on some very interesting techniques; well with the $$.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Quoteplaying with planetary stepper motors

This caught my attention. Any pictures of those motors or a link to where purchase. I'm always looking for geared output on motors.

Bernd,

here is a picture of the item in question.

I bought these from Aliexpress.  I'm from Canada so I don't have the "Issues" you have with getting stuff from China.  I know that you can get them through Amazon but they are expensive, there should be a US supplier for these.

For the record the overall length is approx 1-1/4" long.

If you need any further information, let me know.

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for the coffee Larry.  I'll provide Breakfast, today's fare is pancakes with real Quebec maple syrup with sides of bacon, link sausages, ham and home made beans.

Safe travels Curt.

Happy Belated Birthday to the Judge.

Larry, hope you get  to put a dent in the dirt pile today.

Tom, have fun in the shed.

Current temperature is 6c (42f) and overcast.  Busy day today as I have a couple of meetings for work today along with a haircut.  Hopefully I'll make it to the bench tonight, I have an electronic enclosure to design and print.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning crew,

Tom, thanks for breakfast and coffee.  Horwood is looking fantastic.  Stucco on...

Curt, safe travels to you.

Larry, easy on the dirt pile.  I'll check out the annual. Thanks.

Ron, thanks for the information about the motors. Good luck with the designing.

Karl, good luck to the Doll.  It's an easy procedure.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning at 53°F, warming to 73°F. I have a bunch of chores to do...oh wait, Sharon is not here, so I can do what I want.  I guess I'll have to spend the day upstairs. Still working on the boxcar, paint is the plan for the day.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning everyone.

46 in Rapid City, sun and clouds with a high of 66 later.

ACLTom, thanks for the coffee and have fun in the shed.

Ron, thanks for the breakfast and hope the print goes well.

Happy Birthday to the Judge.

Larry, enjoy reading your new magazine.

Curt, glad you enjoyed your trip and safe travels.

Karl, all the best to The Doll for today's procedure.

Jerry, where are you at with the walls?

James, what did you see at the museum?

Mike, sounds like a delicious lunch.

How's everyone else.

Star and I hiked 5 miles on the Spring Creek and Flume Trail.
It was a very pretty trail and I enjoyed it very much.
Another hike this morning.
Afterward I think I'm going to start making my way to Sioux Falls.

Sheridan Lake from yesterday's hike.
Spring Creek was dammed in 1940.
At the bottom of the lake is what was once the town of Sheridan and some old gold mines.

8) 40o going to reach 60 if things hold as forecast.

Headed out the door in a couple to get the Doll's second eye done. She's been ecstatic about the first eye, done two weeks ago.  It will be a day on the road, surgery is an hour SSE of us in Jackson, MI and then we have a re-check with another Doc on the NE side of Lansing at 2 or 2:30.

I did complete the dcc installation on the GP and will test that soon.  MAYbe some layout time soon, too.

Order in the Courtroom, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Da JUDGE!

Be well, stay safe.
