Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick, I'll just have the coffee though. The idea was that MOH would get the oil changed while grocery shopping.

Starting out in the mid 50's and getting to the mid 70's today. I recieved my order of Rembrandt chalk sticks yesterday. I normally don't get that brand but they have some hard to find colors in chalk.

Today is floor day...ugh, but it needs done with all the animals. Still nothing about our trip down south.

That's it from this way.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Safe travels and hope you dodge any nasty weather. There was an older gentleman I knew as a kid who had a wood shop in garage; the items he made for folks were gorgeous and would probably last a lifetime.

Curt you wanna switch temps? I think you'll be very pleased with the chalks; I know I am.

What's on your agenda.

It's a clear 13 with a high of 26 in N.Y.; going to be a bitter cold weekend with temps dipping to around
-10; hopefully the air is calm and no air movement. The quotes I received from my insurance agent were surprisingly low compared with what I currently have; I even received $50 off for paying for the year all at once. Never made it to the bench yesterday with 1:1 stuff taking front and center. Today I hope to spend some quality time there.

Have a great day!! Be well, stay warm, and travel safely.

Chilly start this morning, it'll be a dry run for the weekend weather at Springfield.  It was about +5 when I took the dogs out.  Rick, we get them groomed about every 6 weeks, more frequently if they get 'fragrant'.

A lot of interesting texture on that photo, Rick.

I won't get too much modeling done today, it's our monthly Lunch Bunch meet.  Yesterday I actually regressed, I broke some stuff loose so I reglued it and will try again to set at least one of the ramps at the correct angle to the center span.

Thick overcast and light snow that's been falling for several hours.  It's a heat wave today being the warmest for the next several days, well thru the weekend in minus territory at times.  I need to get out, clear the driveway and bring up the trash bin before some neighbor calls in a check for us as there aren't any tracks since Sunday's visit from the geek squad.  Well, if we HAD real 'neighbors' not just blank faces that come and go and barely acknowledge you.

Bench time and reading yesterday.  I did the decals on the obverse side of the sleeper.  Need to get a clear coat on soon.  I poked into ChatGPT for a few minutes yesterday.  just dipped my toe into the shallow end.  :-\

Be well all, keep a weather eye out....gonna be a crap fest in the weather department. Dangerous conditions out there.  Today's 20s will seen like a spring breeze.

Careful out there!

The slushy snow man stuff on the ground this am.
Temp is hitting 40 with added rain. Yuck!

Drop by anytime Rick & Star! The next week is looking like a mess in the giant radius of S ~no~. Hope the weather folks are wrong~

Walking to the PO and mailing out an order today.

Have a great day!

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Have a nice hike today.
I hope that weather gets warmer for you!!

Curt have a nice day.  Your a good man to do the floors!

Larry hope you make the bench today.

Morning Dave.

Karl enjoy the Spring day!
I meant to ask you do you ever go to the Northern command post this time of year??

Philip how close are you to the PO?  That you can walk?

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/14.  Earlier this am it was a brisk 4.
Thank God no wind.
Well yesterday's home day turned into a day of grocery shopping.
Today will be a home day!!  Sure it will be!!
Hopefully I can get back to my bench.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  It doesn't look like anywhere is warm on the East Coast.

Curt, hope the floor day passes quickly.

Larry, congrats on the insurance savings.

Dave, good luck with the repair.

Karl, congrats on the decal finish.  Do you have a project using ChatGPT?

Philip, you are close to FN.  We lived in Elizabethtown during the winter of 1970.

Jerry, good luck getting a home day.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's cold here at 27F, but reading about the north and west, I am not complaining.  It looks like rain the rest of the week, culminating in a "we're all gonna die" alert for .5" of sneaux is the northern part of the state.

Yesterday, I finished assembling the sheriff's office.  Today, I hope to fill in the gaps between a few stones with acrylic putty.  Lodge work this afternoon and into the evening makes it a busy 1:1 day.

Have fun,
mike

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. I had hot chocolate this morning and oatmeal Pam fixed.

We both bowled our averages yesterday and won all eight points. My energy level was down from the heavy coughing and still feel low energy today.

I hope to get some work done on the Koontz build and start the challenge build. Doc Jeff has the same kit for his challenge, a interlocking tower.

That's it from me, have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Good morning Rick, Curt, Larry, Dave, Karl, Philip, Jerry, Mike, ACLTom and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, enjoy your hike with Star.

Curt, sounds like you got what you need for your next weathering project.

Larry, hope you get to spend some quality time at the bench today.

Dave, enjoy your lunch group.

Karl, ChatGPT?  you're braver than I am.  ;D

Philip, enjoy your day.

Jerry, Hope you make it to the work bench, I'm looking for an update soon.  ;D

Mike, hope the the lodge work goes well.

ACLTom, A dueling interlocking tower build for the winter challenge, this is going to be fun.

Current temperature is -7c (19f) and overcast.  I wrote a whole posy yesterday and hit post, but it appears that it slip into the either never to be seen again.  The drive home last night was uneventful so I got home at a reasonable time.  That gave me time at the bench and I worked on the loading dock for the winter challenge.  Hopefully tonight drive home will be uneventfull so I can post an update tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Jerry, we have gone to Northern Command in the past, this year's weather and 1:1 stuff at home have prevented that...so far.

RE ChatGTP, I've only taken a peek,  :o and not sure I'm really ready yet, but honestly it scares the hell out of me.  The AI stuff I've known was AI on U-toob for instance gives me the willies :o ...

Good morning everyone.

Currently 46 in Leeds, AL, rain all day and a high of 50.

Coffee, sodas, OJ and hot chocolate are ready.
Eggs the way you like them, crispy bacon and/or sausage and home fries for breakfast.
Assorted breads are next to the toaster if you want.

Karl, AI is a very deep rabbit hole.

Ron, nice start on the loading dock.

ACLTom, congratulations on the 8 points and have fun with the challenge build.

Mike, I hope there's less 1:1 today and more 1:48.

Jerry, hoping you get to stay home today.

Philip, sorry, but visiting won't happen this time around.
Next time I'm in the area for sure.

Dave, hope you had a good time with the Lunch Bunch.

Larry, glad you got good prices.

Curt, Rembrandt chalks are excellent.
You'll like them.

TomO, I know you've been busy at the bench.

Hope everyone is feeling well.

Star and I hiked 8 miles and 1,775' of EG at Guntersville Lake State Park.
Pretty park and it would be much prettier in the fall.
Since today will be a rain out, only a gym visit is planned so far.
I was able to move my appointment at Storyteller from Wednesday to Monday.

Another view of Sierra Butte in CA.
Star and I hiked to the top two days before we did this hike.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast today Rick. Doesn't sound like fun weather. Nice photo.

Started out the day with a walk at 53F. I inadvertently walked 3.9 miles instead of the normal 3.1 by losing track of my times around the subdivision.  Yesterday I turned the weathering sticks into powder. Talk about mindless work.

There was something I wanted to do today but can't remember what it is. Sigh. I did get some good news yesterday. Dad's appointment today is a phone appointment. Now I don't have to drive home in rush hour.

I'm done blabbing.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast along with another beautiful photo. Hope you find some things to do today.

Curt driving in rush hour ain't fun; done that many, many times when working. Interesting you turned your chalks into power all at once; I do mine as I need them. Each to his own.

What's your day look like.

It's 30 with a high of 32. Tomorrow we go into the "deep freeze" for the weekend. Not much on tap for today except for a appliance repair person coming to fix our 2 year old washing machine> Normally I don't bother but this time I bought a 3 year extended warranty so we'll see if that was worth it or not. My time window is 8am - 12pm so waiting for a call.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

It's the temporary thaw before the big freeze tomorrow, and then snow Sunday/Monday.  I've been checking my shopping list for Springfield. Don Tichy sent out a note he's cancelled because of the storm.  I don't blame him, he'll have to drive through the worst of the accumulation to get back home Monday.  But that's disappointing, talking to Don and stocking up on Tichy parts is one of my show highlights.

Back to the bridge today, I think I can lock in the 2 ramps today, and let that glue thoroughly set, before doing the railings.
