Not sure how much time I'll get in the train room today, I have some honey-do house maintenance tasks to tackle once I'm back from German class.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

We have dental app. this morning at 9:30. Hopefully modeling will fill my afternoon.

Karl, hope you feel better soon.

I worked in the yard for several hours yesterday, the old bones ain't what they used to be but I'm still able to do manual labor. I won't do any today as we have bowling tomorrow.

Have a safe, healthy and happy day everyone.

Larry stop trying to pick up those RR ties by yourself!!

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/47.  Later a chance of rain.
With such a lousy day coming up maybe I can get a couple of hours at the bench.

Current weather here is -2c (29f) and sunny.  Had a great weekend running trains, next setup will be April 10, 11 at the Prescott (Ontario) train Show.  Going to be a short work week for me as the Mrs is scheduled for gallbladder surgery on Thursday at which time my new job will be home nurse.

Have a great day everyone.

Howdy folks,

Curt, thanks for opening and the treats.  Congrats on the stair progress.

Karl, hope your day improved.  Those events can kill hobby motivation.

Larry, hope your back is better.  New thread?

Dave, good luck with the honey dos.

Tom, hope the dentist visit went well.

Philip, painting figures sounds like fun...

Jerry, hope you got some time at the bench.

Ron, glad the show went well.  Quick healing to your wife.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a nice day here at 75°F this afternoon.  I've been working on details and figures most of the day.  I finally took a break to rest my neck and back.

Have fun,

Well, mixed results on the honey-do items.  The kitchen sink drain is plumbed differently than the bedroom drains, so I could not remove and clean the trap.  But I did run a brush down as far as I could into the trap, and the drain does seem to be running better.

In the basement, since the GFCI was tripping even after we replaced the pump, I talked to the plumber.  He agreed next thing to try is replace the GFCI, which I did.  I think there's one more component in that system, so if the new GFCI starts tripping, that'll have to get replaced too.

Now on the positive side:  Today, in what might be the first time, I went into my boxes of detail parts and found what I was looking for -in the first box-.  That's the pulley on-a-bracket set from BESTTrains castings.  I cleaned that up and primed it.  I'll finish painting it tomorrow (paint the pulley dark grey), add 'rope' and install it on the barn.

Howdy folks,  I forgot to post a review of Hail Mary.

Bottom line, it was terrific   Perhaps a tiny bit woke, and a bit too much humor for my taste (I love hard-core scifi), but overall, it is one of the best I've seen lately. I recommend it.  I heard kids in the audience loving it.

Have fun,
