Good morning everyone.

Currently 27 in West Monroe, Louisiana, a mix of clouds and sun later with a high of 55.

Coffee, sodas, OJ and hot chocolate are ready.
Pork roll, egg and cheese on an everything bagel for breakfast.

Ron, enjoy your modeling break.

ACLTom, maybe less errands and more bench today.

Jerry, thanks for your update.

Mike, how's the sheriff's office coming along?

Dave, barn walls look good.

Terry, good morning.

Larry, hope the white stuff has stopped falling.

Karl, I watch a lot of YT and haven't seen any adds like that.

Curt, have you opened the box and smelled the resin?

James, hope all the s$#@ is where you want it now.

TomO, hope the medical appointments went well.

James, that was a pretty picture you posted.

Philip, what's new?

Currently in Louisiana.
Very happy to be west of the Mississippi River.
Today's plan is to visit Caddo Lake SP on the Texas/Louisiana border.
Hope I can get a couple of nice pictures there.

From last years visit on the Outer Banks, NC

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Best of luck with your photography endeavors. Yes the s*ow has finally stopped; my lower back needs a day of rest. Nice photo.

What's your plans for the day.

It's 9 with a high of 17. The Arctic air needs to go back north; the cold temps start wearing on you after awhile. Like I mentioned I need a rest day when I'm not "playing" in the white crap. Some bench time shortly and maybe an update later on. That's about it from here.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay warm.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. I believe one of the old pawn store shows was filmed there. Safe travels. Are you headed back to you're daughter's?

Currently 38F with a feel like of 35F. Yesterday after DMV where Dad had to get a new license I did my walk. The rest of the chalk sticks I had ordered came in so I ground them up.

Today after chores I plan on cracking open the new kit and start a build thread. This one I may put on the layout replacing either 1 or 2 current buildings. I'll determine that later in the build.

I think one day very soon I'm being drafted to drive MOH to Sarasota (about 3 hours away) to replace her broken sewing surger. She wants a specific type and model. $$$ :-*

Larry rest your back. I'm sure it will s**w there again soon.🤫

That's it for me.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Low of -1, currently +8 heading to 22.  We'll be in this pattern for the next 10 days, with the chance of temps above freezing still predicted for early next week.  Looks like the weekend storm will go out to sea.

I have to pick up some Rx, otherwise the day is mine.  I should start assembling the barn walls today.  There will be some challenges with some of the laser cut parts that warped laterally (in ways I couldn't fix with weights), so careful gluing and clamping will be required.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. Nice photo of the Outer Banks Lighthouse.

Like Curt said its 38 here going to the low 50s. This weekend is going to be brutal for us Crackers.

No bench time yesterday but today I'm in the train shed working on the challenge build.

Have a safe and warm day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for the coffee and pork roll. Safe travels to Star and you.

Larry, glad you have a rest day.

Curt, the new kit sounds like fun.

Dave, good luck with the barn walls.

TomACL, a day at the bench sounds like fun.  Stay warm.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another bright and cold morning at 26F.  Yesterday I worked on the sheriff's office door, windows, roof, and porch.  I hope to have an update later today.

Have fun,
mike

Warmer , not that one would notice, temps on the + side, 9o currently nd going to low double digits.  Wind is reduced as well.

Went with the Doll out to town yesterday and did little hobby stuff.  Baked a couple of 3d prints in UV and checked the power on a new Atlas U30B w/Loksound I bought on a whim over the weekend.  Lombard canceled their trip to the train show so was selling $300 locos for about the price of the decoder and speaker, $129.  Sank their hook in me.  That's all I needed, more engines.  It ran well and sounded fine, needs the volume turned down but ok other wise.

Back to the layout later, maybe.  I have a kitchen project to look at, too.

All I've got...

Another nice shot, Rick.  Love lighthouses.

Good morning Rick, Larry, Curt, Dave, ACLTom, Mike, Karl, and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, have fun at Caddo Lake SP.

Larry, enjoy the time between the white stuff and have fun at the bench.

Curt, have fun building the new kit and I'm looking forward to the new thread.

Dave, have fun assembling the barn walls, will have to check out your thread on it.

ACLTom, enjoy your time in the shed working on the challenge build.

Mike, looking forward to your update.

Karl, Hope the kitchen project isn't too complicated.

Current weather is -15c and cloudy with no white stuff in the forecast.  Received my latest stamp order yesterday so spent some time updating my collection spreadsheet.  In case anyone is interested I collect Mint Canadian, US, Germany and British stamps.  I have a cousin in England that also collects stamps who sends me the newest British stamps and I send him the latest Canadian stamps.  My grandmother bought me my first stamp album when I was young and it is a hobby that I have been involved with ever since.

Have a great day everyone.

Rick thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Nice picture it looks warm there!

Larry your right it gets old playing in the white stuff.

Curt looking forward to the new build.

Dave take your time you'll get them together.

Mike looking forward to the update.

Karl flip a coin heads for trains tails it's the kitchen!!  ;D

Ron that sounds like a full time hobby.  I use to collect then somehow stopped doingit.  I should have kept it going.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/16.  A blazing 22 later.
I think my shoveling is done for this storm.
But there talkin another 5" on Sunday.
I hope to see if my room is a bit warmer this morning so I can turn on the heater and get my second wall going.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Afternoon all. Staying warm Rick!

My fiber optics line had to be serviced. Lost my internet last night about 2100hrs. The server repair man was scratching his head. Seems it was shining to bright.....whatever that means?

Stay save crew! That thing with the blade and handle will wear ya down! snow.png

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Currently 32 in Longview, TX, mostly sunny and 49 later.

Coffee, sodas, OJ and hot chocolate are ready.
A light breakfast today.
A basket loaded with assorted muffins and bagels.
All the usual smears are out too.

Philip, I'm warm, it was 60 here yesterday.
I hope you're warm when you have that blade with a handle in your hands.

Karl, that certainly ruined a few people's day.
No sooner did I post yesterday, I saw the ad you mentioned on YT.
Haven't seen it again.

Jerry, I think you posted the second wall is done.
What's next?

Ron, my Mom collected stamps.
I wish she collected precious metals instead.

ACLTom, I hope you have some cold weather clothes.

Mike, the Sheriff's Office is a knockout.

Dave, barn walls assembled?

Curt, I guess your wife figures since you got a new kit she can get a new sewing machine.  ;D
Yes, I'm heading back to Arizona to my daughters.

Larry, nice job on your scenery.

Hope the rest of the crew is doing well.

I did stop at Caddo Lake.
Didn't stay long.
Took some pictures and continued west.
I called Brett at SierraWest to ask about stopping by for a visit.
Unfortunately my timing wasn't good and he already had other plans.
Maybe next time I'm in the area.
Hitting the gym early then continue on my way west.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Pretty picture. Safe travels.

Started out the day with a walk at 45F. I broke down and wore gloves. It's amazing how much warmer you stay! Yesterday I started on the next kit and will continue today after chores.

Rick in all fairness to my wife, her old unit was broke and wasn't worth fixing. I just like to grouse about things. ;)

Tom are you going to be open for visitors tomorrow?

That's it for me.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Safe travels and enjoy the warmer weather; it hasn't hit 20 here all week. Thanks trying to up my scenery game.

Curt have fun with the kit; looks like a good'in.

What's your plans today.

It's -2 with a high of only 11; this cold is getting really old. The usual Friday am errands then some bench time afterwards. Also need to get a few things together for tomorrows trip to Daughters to hopefully finish up her couch rebuild.

Have a great day!! Be well, stay warm, and safe travels.
