Cold and snow/rain mixture here.

Got a new tool delivered by the "Little Brown Truck" from Grizzly Products yesterday. I'll post pictures later once I have it assembled.

Looks like I'll be spending time in the workshop today.

Later.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry. Pancakes work for me this fine day.

Curt, glad Tim in on the mend, for now anyway. Maybe Kathy won another sewing machine.

Jerry, enjoy the time with your grandson. Ours is coming by this morning. We haven't seen him in two years and he is bringing his girlfriend. I'm guessing they are engaged. Will find out this morning.

No bench time for me yesterday. I spent 6 hours in the side yard digging out old and dead sod. I used the4 edger to cut the old grass in small sections and then used the scuttle how to cut under the sod and then removed it.

To tired after that to post on the forum updates.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Tom

From what I understand, they did a great job with the restoration of Notre Dame.

This time I 'passed' the cataract evaluation, so I'm scheduled for May & June.  My challenge between now and then is getting comfortable applying eye drops.

In the meantime, I should get a bit of time in the train room, working on that grass mat I glued down.  It's way too dense and uniform, the instructions say 'spray with water and let that soak in, that will soften the glue.'  Also the last winter farmer's market is this weekend and I should get a refill on maple syrup, and of course Saturday Scotch Club.

Good morning folks,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck decorating.

Curt, good news about your Dad's leg.  Congrats to your wife.

Rick, wishing you a most enjoyable day.

James, hope you have fun at the trolley museum.

Good morning, Bernd.  Sounds like a fun day ahead.

Tom, nice job on the sod.  Sorry you had to do it.

Dave, good luck with the scenery.  We can compare notes on cataract surgery.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a nice morning at 58°F, headed to 84°F.  I have a few errands to run, then I hope to continue work upstairs.  I rearranged the hobby desk yesterday and worked on figures.  I have a nice group for the depot.

Have fun,
mike

Still lots of room in the basement. This is the new addition. Doesn't take up that much room. Nice to be able to make long slices and not have to use a fret saw. At least now I get straight cuts for the pieces I want to cut out.

IMG_0003.JPG

The little brown truck delivered it last night a 6:15PM. I put it together this morning and tried a few .020" brass pieces. What a joy to get perfect straight cuts.

Now I can get back to work on other projects that are on the drawing board (CAD drawings) using brass sheet. Also going to try PC board ties.

Bernd, I'd be curious to know how that works on sheets of styrene.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is you can scrounge your own. Full pantry and fridge. Of course there's OJ and soda.

Starting out the day at 58F and heading to 85F later. MOH won some kind of folding bag. Yesterday I spent a couple hours working on the stairs. It was nice to be at the workbench again.

Today after chores I'll start putting together the risers and steps which always seems to be a painful process for me.

Not much else going on today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Curt and others,

Thanks for breakfast Curt, I'll scrounge around and find something after I have a glass of OJ.

Our grandson came to the house yesterday and yes, I guessed correctly. He and Cassia are engaged. He said they met at church and have been dating for just over a year. She is a Physical Therapist. Gabe is stationed in NJ at one of the Coast Guard Stations.

No bench time for me yesterday but the day was better spent with family.

I'll do a little more dead grass removal until noon. After that and a rest, I'll come back in here and work on the Horwood build.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.
