Good morning Larry, Karl, Curt, Rick, Tom, Jerry, Philip, Dave, and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, hopefully your cardiogist appointment goes well.

Karl, hope you get more work done on the layout today.

Curt, sounds like you made a lot of progress on the kit yesterday.

Rick, That is a breath taking photo, maybe Star is getting use to large animals and now they don't interest her anymore.

Tom, next week your team will bowl well and you'll get 6 points.

Jerry, hope you make it to the bench today.

Philip, I see you are ready to spring, my mower doesn't need much service, just a fully charged battery 😊

Dave, I'm really enjoying you travelogue photos.

Mike, glad the cataract surgery went well, the swelling is going down in the other eye.

Current temperature is -1c (30f) and Sunny, supposed to hit 6c (42f).  Well yesterday didn't work out is planned as my wife's surgery was cancelled again and rescheduled for this Friday.  They say third time is the charm, so it's back to work for me today.  ;D

I did manage some time at the bench so expect a update soon on the challenge build.  That's all I have for now.

Have a great day everyone.

Mike I was thinking you could put an eye patch over the uncorrected eye then talk in pirate until that eye surgery. I'm sure your wife would love it. :o  ;D

A co-worker/group lead (Mary Proffitt) had surgery around her eye and wore an eyepatch for several weeks.  Her group was renamed "Proffit's Pirates," and my wife made a logo and printed stickers for her to put on stuff.

Good afternoon all.

Doing a big hike tomorrow.
Lots of miles and climbing.
Getting a very early start so I won't be here tomorrow morning.
Sounds like everyone is doing well, even Mike with his eyes.
Let's keep that trend going.

Have a great night.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ and soda.

Supposed to be another rainy day but the east coast of FL has been getting the worst of it. Never made it to the workbench yesterday but I did have an idea. Instead of another wood platform why not make a concrete one to break up all the wood?

Yesterday I enjoyed meeting up with Terry and solving the world problems over a cup of coffee.

Today after chores I'll head to the workbench.

Rick enjoy your hike.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast this morning. Glad you and Terry had a great time. Enjoy the bench time and your idea about using cement for something different sounds good to me. Also I did post another chapter last night and I plan on another one at the end of the month; I think time got away from me since my last installment.

What's on your radar for the day.

It's a sunny 44 with a high of 65; I might have to get outside this afternoon. Plan on an update this am along with some more bench time. Other than that not much here.

Have a great day!! Be well and heal up.

I had a nice post of medieval carvings, but I couldn't get the damn thing to actually 'stick'.  So no photos from me today.  It seems the forum software is starting to 'rot'.  What is wrong with the people who code this stuff?  Are they really that incompetent?  It sure seems so.

Morning all,

Curt thanks for breakfast. Sorry I couldn't meet up with you and Terry to solve the world's problems. I'm sure the BS'ing was great though.

We have a few errands and then I'll head to the work bench.

Ron, sorry to hear of the surgery cancellation for your wife. Maybe Friday will be the go day.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Concrete or brick sounds great for a platform.

Larry, hope you enjoy the bench time.

Dave, persist.

Tom, hope you have fun at the bench.

Karl, good morning.

Ron, wishing your wife well tomorrow.

Jerry, hope you make it to the bench.

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's a hazy day at 60°F headed to 73°F.  I'm still under the weather from a cold or sinus infection.  I don't feel like modeling, so it is another recliner day.

Have fun,
mike

Jerry

Mike I hope the eye is doing okay and the black eye also?

And now a cold on top of that.

Take care and feel better.

The homestead has declared war on Dandelions!  ;D

They marched right in last month. Pun intended.

Anyhow I have extracted an entire wheelbarrow full.

Yep Ron also charged that battery ;)

Oh and have a great day!

Good Evening Folks;

I've been AOL for a couple of days but finally got time to pop in and say hi to everyone, plus I am rovering around the website seein if things are working OK as Dave is having some issues on the site. If anyone is experiencing issues let me know so I can see what is up.

Well today was a great day for me, the weather was not as expected, turned out beautiful, 72 and a breezy. I was able to spend some time working on the mini bridge scene that will be on the canal of my site. I am going to post a couple photos to see if they load.

So here is what I am working on. Paul's will be a pub down stairs and a gentleman's 'club' upstairs. Paul is my brother and a pub/ club is totally him. I designed it using Tinkercad and printed it with the resin 3D Anycubic I have. It will fit on the canal and finishes 'bridge' scene. it is a brick three story and will have an interior. The door designs were downloaded from Thingiverse Website but the rest of structure I came up with. It has been fun and not very hard so a nice break.

Pauls Up Close.jpeg

The building is on a raised base that 'plugs' into the wall section. The roof will stay in place when you pull off the building to see the interior. The interior floors will be held in place by upright corner framing that is locked into the base. First floor will be the pub, a spiral staircase will lead to the 'gentleman' area and it will continue up to the third floor where my brother will live.

Tom Langford Sraight.jpeg

Tom Lanford has given me a lot of great tips over the years and one is to keep buildings level, so here you are Tom. I use General Purpose Compound to accomplish the leveling. First clear out the base area, then spread a little compound and while wet work the base onto it and ensure all is level and let dry.

Laser Cutting Interior.jpeg

Thought I'd throw a photo of another toy I have, a small laser cutter. Here it is cutting out the 'wall paper' I came up with for the interior walls. The cut lines are exported from Tinkercad and I print the design on normal letter paper placing 3M two sided tape on the backside. Once cut I pealed the tape backing and in place it went.

My Bench.jpeg

Finally I just had to show my work bench, it's a mess, and it always is. My modeling friends all put everything exactly where it should be and know where everything all the time. Not me, I am truly a bum and here is the proof.

Well let's see if this all uploads. Hope everyone had a great day.
