Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have an enjoyable safe hike. Amazing photo, thanks for sharing.

Tom good move staying off roofs; hope the sod job is finished.

Karl's groundhog stew reminded me when I was a kid. When at my Grandparents house for dinner it was best not to ask what kind of meat you were eating.

It's a cloudy 44 with a high of 58. My usual Friday errands shortly then onto more shoveling; decided to forgo it yesterday and spent some time at the bench instead; way more fun.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

What's your plans.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. Wonderful Picture of GCNP. Looks like an excellent hike in that area.

I forgot to mention we won 6-2 in bowling and moved up to 6th place out of 10 teams. Next year I'm changing the handicap system to make it more fair for all bowlers. I didn't propose the current system. I was done prior to me being voted in a league Pres.

Waiting on the sod delivery. I'll check in over the next several days. There will be no updates until I get all the sod down.

Have a safe and happy weekend ya'll.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Wishing you a fantastic hike.

Larry, take it easy on the shoveling.

Tom, congrats on the bowling score.  Good luck with the sod.

Karl, good luck to the Doll with the cataract procedure.

Jerry, how was the walk on the beach?

Dave, I'll check out the barbed wire.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another bright, dry morning at 55°F, headed to 82°F.  I'm hoping to spend some time upstairs, finishing the depot scene.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Fantastic photo.

It's slow going this morning as I slept very badly, but this time next week MOH and I will be flying to Harrisburg and Dad is flying to Hagerstown to visit my youngest brother.

Dad's been having some ear pain so if he still has it tomorrow it's back to urgent care.

Yesterday I scrapped the stand except for the base the tank sits  on. It went much better with me modifying the legs and bracing, adding NBW's, a walkway on one side and a ladder. I still need to do a couple of things then I'll post a photo.

MOH has another rescue event tomorrow so I need to load some stuff into the van for her.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Curt lookin gforward to the progress on the ank.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/53.  Later on 64.
Not to bad for a Soring day.
Izzy to the groomer this morning.
Will get some shopping done while she gets beatified.

I'm down to the last door.
Now to make all the sides that go in.
My wood came for the flooring for the machine shop also.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Sunny and pleasant this morning. The Doll is in undergoing surgery on her right eye. The A/C is chilly. Folks here are pleasantly professional. They did surprisingly have an additional $850 feet for a special lens. Glad I've been hoarding lately.

They have an old old episode of Family Feud with Richard Dawson on the TV. No way they'd be having the kissy, touchy going on like this show!  1981 I decipher from the Roman numbers at the end.

After this it's up to Lansing for a 2:30p follow up with the surgeon before we can go home.

Good you're feeling better, Mike.

Rick enjoy. Everyone enjoy the day.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

34 in Bountiful now, sunny and 55 later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Basic two eggs the way you like them, bacon and/or sausage and home fries for breakfast today.

Karl, hope the follow up went well at the surgeons yesterday.

Jerry, since the wood showed up there should be no stopping you now.

Curt, hope Dad's ear is better.

Mike, have fun building your box car.

ACLTom, did the sod show up?

Larry, modeling is definitely more fun than shoveling.

How's everyone else doing?

Star and I hiked 4 miles on the Adam's Canyon Trail yesterday.
I was going to do another hike tomorrow, but the forecast is calling for rain.
So instead I'll do that hike today.

This is a picture from yesterday's hike.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, Rick.  Clear and warming up a bit from a frosty night here on the NH seacoast.  Off to Seashore Trolley Museum in a few minutes, today is our Annual Meeting.  I'm sketching out a speech in my head that I hope will draw more interest in RR and streetcar track.

Morning all,

Rick, thanks for breakfast.

Karl, best wishes on the Doll's eye surgery.

Ron, best wishes for your wife's recovery.

The 8AM sod delivery arrived on time at 2:55 PM. >:(  >:( I started putting it down at 3:10PM and worked until 6:30PM.  1 and 1/3 pallet down and watered in.

I'll start again in a few more minutes. Surprisingly, I wasn't sore and had no cramps during the night.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Tom

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sounds a little chilly out your way. Have an enjoyable and safe hike; nice pic.

James that must be like modelers; you seldom see anyone modeling street cars let alone a good looking layout. Hope you create more interest.

Dang Tom that's a lot of sod; my back hurts just seeing the photo. Good luck and don't overdue.

What's your day look like?

It's a cloudy 45 with a high of only 48 and rain most of the day. Sunny tomorrow but the dirt pile will have to sit and dry out for a day which is fine my back needs the rest. Looks like I'll just have to be at the bench; boo hoo.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Give Star a pet from me because she's a really good girl. ;D

Started out today loading up animals in the van. MOH took off to pickup daughter then headstone the event. After she left I did a walk at 66F and heading close to 90F later today.

Yesterday I worked on the oil tank dispensing system. I didn't like how the kit did it. I should finish that today.

Dad decided that his ear didn't hurt anymore so no urgent care visit. ;D

Mike I hope you, your family and friends are safe from the fires.

Tom that is a huge amount of work. Please pace yourself. Water Water Water.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good picture to start the day.

Evening checkin.

First off, thanks for the well wishes and kind thoughts. The Doll's eye surgery went great and the follow up was great. She's excited about the results. I'm so excited for her.

I was up early today and made a day of it at Keeney's OPS session. We ran a full schedule of trains with few hiccups. I ran a trio of switch jobs, local turns, and an over the main trip to staging.

On the way to OPS I had a terrific slice of breakfast pizza from a local family owned pizza shop/party store a couple miles from Andy's place.  I also took a box of donuts that were well received and didn't last very long, they also were from a long standing Lansing area family business. And excellent.

Enjoy the rest of the day. Thanks again for well wishes for Mz Vik, the Doll.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Slept great last night. MOH bought Magnesium for me to help, I still woke up 3 or 4 times but was sleeping again in seconds! I thought I was done with the oil tank yesterday but Dave and Rick pointed out 2 things that it needed.

Today after chores I'll continue to work on it.

Karl I'm glad the Doll's surgery went well and that you had a great OPS session.

Larry I see you added a new chapter. I'll read it in a bit.

Tom I hope you aren't overdoing it.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

It's raining and it will rain all day with a high of 52.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Great news on the better sleep and sorry that I created more work for you.

Karl, glad you enjoyed the ops.
What's on a breakfast pizza?
I'll have to make one for breakfast here one day.

Jerry, I hope a little bit of yesterday was all yours.

Larry, hope your back got rested sitting at the bench?

ACLTom, I wasn't expecting to see that much sod.
Hope you're taking your time putting it down.

James, I'm sure your speech will be very motivational.

How's everyone else doing?

Star and I did 7.6 miles and 1,194" of EG yesterday on the Big Rock via Elephant Rock Trail in Bountiful, UT.
Since it's raining, most of the day will be spent inside.
I do however have a gym visit scheduled.

A view from yesterday's hike.
