Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Glad you got a better night's sleep. It's amazing what a vitamin will do for you. Hope you like the this Chapter; I'm writing the next.

Rick I had a very productive day at the bench and my back thanked me. Great photo and enjoy your rest day.

What are your plans.

It's 41 with a high of 62. Rained all day yesterday off and on so the dirt pile is soaked. Need let it dry out today so tomorrow I can get back at it. It's a slow process between the stone, rocks, and clay but I'll get'er done after a fashion. Hope to do an update later on and plan on being at the bench for  bit.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Good morning,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck with the oil tank.

Rick, thanks for the photo of the beautiful countryside.  Enjoy your relaxing day.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's hazy, and 62°F headed to 83°F.  It rained last night, which was a welcome relief.  Wish it had been more.  Yesterday was a bust hobby-wise.  I mostly read.  I'm still trying to kick the sinus infection, but still coughing a lot.

Our daughter is visiting today, and I'm making fish tacos and the trimmings.  We'll watch the Braves, hoping for a win.

Have fun,
mike

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

Karl, good news on the Doll's eye surgery.

Rick, nice photo. Yes, four pallets at 400 sq ft per. 1600 sq. ft of sod to put down.

I work hard yesterday and have on pallet of sod left to get down. I better get to it while it is cool. I'll do before/after in a week or two.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

GREEN SIDE UP!

Sun and chilly, 40s in MI going to low 60s. today in MI.  Sticking around close to home.

Rick, a breakfast pizza had cheeze, scrambled eggs, sausage and potato chunks on what I had yesterday, to a wide variety of items, ham, onions, yellow, green and hot peppers, pepperoni, all home made, fresh and terrific. $3.50 for a generous slice.  The place, does a terrific business along one of the main ground routes into Metro Lansing from the NW.  I worked with one of the brothers involved and another was an area fire chief.  Their father had a long running neighborhood store in Lansing and was killed in a robbery back in the 1970s when one of the boys was on the Narc unit.  Perp was ID'd but never enough put together to make a case.

Well, I ramble enough, be well all...go GREEN Tom

Enjoy the day.

Good morning Curt, Rick,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, hope you get the oil tank finished today.

Rick, that is a great view, have fun at the gym.

Larry, hope you have a productive day at the bench and I'm looking forward to the update.

Mike, enjoy your daughter's visit today.

Tom, take it easy laying all that sod.

Karl, glad to hear the Doll's surgery went well.

I'm still alive. ;D   Current temperature is 11c (52f) with a high of 18 (64f) with full blown sun.  Been a very busy few days.  Went to the office last Thursday, the first time in two weeks, spent the day in meetings and before I knew it it was 7:00PM  :o , let's just say I got home real late.  Friday I spent running around doing errands and yesterday was the local MNRA meet in the morning and then it was my mother's 90th birthday celebration.  shortly I get to drive my sister and BIL to the airport and make a grocery run.  Then the rest of the day should be mine.

Have a great day everyone.

Ron said.."Then the rest of the day should be mine."

By then, I'd been worn out. A couple days like that, I need a day or two to recharge.  ::)

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Glad you had a good night sleep.

Rick great picture who can say anything else about your picture taking!

Larry glad you took that day of rest.
Moving a pile of wet dirt is no fun!

Mike I hope you feel better.
Enjoy the dinner with your daughter.

Tom be careful with that sod,  Can't believe you moved most of it already.

Karl that sounds like a nice breakfast slice.
I hope the Doll is doing okay this morning.

Ron I've heard that saying the rest of day will be mine!!  Sure it will be!!

Weather in South Jersey is cloudy/rainy/44.
Maybe some sun late today.
I did manage to get to the bench yesterday for an hour.
But I broke a piece of the framing which I hope I can fix today.
Till you get the siding started these frames are so fragile.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Morning Gents,

The morning beverages are all set and breakfast is assorted danish and/or muffins; enjoy.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a sunny 39 with a high of 73. We lost power last night @ 9pm and didn't have it restored until 2:45am. Needless to say I slept like crap and was up and down all night. Grocery shopping shortly then back to the dirt pile; at least that's the plan. Bench time????

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Good morning everyone.

39 now in SLC, 49 later with a chance of rain in the afternoon.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Hope the power stays on and you sleep better tonight.

I didn't bother setting up the Starlink so I'll be keeping it short today.
I'm at the Mercedes dealer and hope to have the regularly scheduled B service done.

I finally got around to uploading part 2 of the Nevada Northern RR video: https://youtu.be/Qny9aY8CJ0k?si=JPDMmw_Y2kBzd1Vi

Hope all of you are well and have a great day.

Good morning from a warming day in Michigan to be topped off with yet more storms, followed by a 10 day to 2 week period of colder temps with some possible frosty mornings and highs only in the mid 50s.  T'ain't summer yet.  This will give all the eager beavers that planted already a change to do it all over again in a couple weeks.

The trail cam at Northern Command has shown deer the last couple of days that appear to be grazing in the area the Doll has planted tulips.

Locally in this area tulips are up and blossoming a good couple of weeks early, chance of the Holland Tulip festival in May needing to scramble for some fill ins. The rabbits or deer have consumed all of the one's planted here, again.

Off in an hour to the Doll's eye check, she's excited about the change in her sight and can't wait for round 2.

I worked a couple hours on the layout yesterday.  Scenery work is going along in mediocrity.  :-\

Enjoy the day, all.

Stay safe.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. Sorry to hear about your power and sleep. Don't overdo it on the dirt pile.

Started out the day with a walk at 70F and mild humidity. I could feel summer coming. Yesterday I added a air vent to the tank and since I didn't have any HO pumps I used a airtank, put a tarp over it and now it's a pump!

Today is chores then I'm thinking the "pump" needs a concrete base.

Larry great chapter. I look forward to the next one.

Tom I hope you aren't overdoing it.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry.

Rick, I'll watch the video later this afternoon.

I got all the sod down and put all the tools away. An hour or two after I finished, it rained for about 40 minutes, a slow steady rain. This morning the grass looks great. I'll keep it watered until the roots take.

I'm taking a break from all the yard stuff, it has been a hard labor intensive workout to get it all back in shape. I'm going to relax, do some reading and then get caught up on all the forum threads I've missed.

Have a great and safe day everyone.

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Go easy on that dirt pile.

Rick I'll watch the video later.

James have a nice day with the track gang.

Wow Mike that first word is a mouthful you will need a dentist!!  ;D

Karl glad the Doll is doing so good.
When the drive up to the Northern Command???

Curt looking for the update.

Tom sounds like you need a rest moving all that sod.

Weather in South Jersey is P. sunny/63.
Not sure what's on the agenda today.
Some bench work to try and fix my broken wall my fault.
Sometimes you should leave well enough alone!!!!  :'(

Everyone have a great day!!  :)
