Philip
Yeah, but that vertigo is a symptom of something else.  Sometimes it is a 'transient' condition, hopefully this is one of those cases.  IANADoctor, but I'd ask Tom (without expecting a response here!) about high blood pressure or diabetes, as two underlying conditions that can cause occasional spikes.

Happy "Revenge of The 6th Day"; I guess that's an extension of Star Wars Day....who knew,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast; sounds a little brr there, keep warm.

Tom glad to hear you're feeling better; that's a little concerning having that happen out of the blue. Hope that's an isolated incidence.

Mike hope Sharon's Doc appointments go well, and enjoy lunch out, and I'm sure you'll find something to occupy your time while she's away.

Karl have fun at the bench. Sorry to hear Funerals are in your future and hope Doll's eye appointment goes well. Good luck with the decoder.

Terry nice you stopped by.

Jerry looking forward to your update; have fun.

Philip and Rich good morning.

It's a rainy 46 with a high of 50 today. Lost internet service from 11:30 last night until about 10 this morning; hence my lateness. Since I can't get outside, I've been working on some details for the Repair Shop on O'Neil's. Also been rummaging through our old Playstation 2 games finding some real gems I had forgotten about. Bought a refurbished PS2 console awhile back and it works like new; miss some of those old games....and yes memory lane happens.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Good morning everyone.

37 now in Rapid City, cloudy and 59 later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Pork roll, egg and cheese on an everything bagel for breakfast today.

Larry, glad you got the internet back and have fun with the games.

Jerry, what's new?

Karl, my condolences on the funeral attendance and all the best to Vicki on tomorrow's procedure.

Dave, hope your motivation returned.

Mike, hope Sharon's doctor visits went well and she has fun on her cruise.

ACLTom, that's scary.
Glad you're feeling better now and hope that doesn't happen again.

I hope curt is having a great time on his trip.

How's everyone else?

After going to the gym and then doing laundry yesterday, I drove to downtown Rapid City.
Traded in a couple of my books at a used bookstore and picked up one new one.
Treated myself to a delicious brisket at a BBQ joint.
Cowboy beans, roasted Brussel sprouts and I stout were also enjoyed.
Drove out of town to get closer to the hike I'm doing this morning and found a nice grass field to spend the night.

One more from my Cave Creek Trail in Jackson, WY.

We're almost to another 100 pages all ready!!!!

What's everyone else doing?

After an all day rain yesterday the sun is out @ 39 with a high of 53. Vacuumed and washed the downstairs floors for Sunday, Mother's Day. Touch up the walls in the Kitchen this afternoon for Daughter's visit Sunday. Maybe some bench time later this am.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Good morning,

Rick, thank you for the coffee and pork roll.  Wishing you a great hike and warm weather.

Larry, good luck with the details for O'Neil's.

Jerry, looking forward to the second wall photos.

Karl, condolences for the funeral, and good luck to the Doll.

Tom, hope you are feeling 100% today.

How is the rest of the crew?

Thanks for the good wishes for Sharon.  She had a dental cleaning and first cataract surgery prep visit.  Lunch was excellent.  Sharon had clam linguini arrabiata, and I had eggplant parm.  We brought home enough for several more meals.  I wish portion sizes were smaller, along with the prices.

I have a few financial things to do for the lodge today, but I hope to get to the bench for a while.  It's been raining hard since yesterday.  Yay!

Have fun,
mike

Good morning, Rick, Larry, Mike.  Seacoast NH had rain overnight. Overcast now but sun and a 60-ish high are forecast.  I have an appointment in Boston this morning, then we're going to the Harvard Museum of Natural History.  Home before rush hour, I hope (I'm the designated Boston Driver).

Maybe some layout time this evening, unless an online meeting materializes.

Pam has a dental app. this morning we'll run a couple errands after that.

Not much else going on here.

Have a safe and productive day everyone.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, I see that your latest pictures have been taken early morning seeing the frost on the ground.

Current temperature is 8c (47f) and sunny.  I've have been thinking for the past couple of days about my model railroading philosophy as I feel burnout coming on due to concentrating on one aspect of the hobby which is taking over all my time.  While I enjoyed working on the challenge it was probably too aggressive to build 3 craftsman kits and a scratchbuilding project in the time frame given.  While all the building projects got completed, I ran out of time to put the scene together.  I will have to seriously think about what I take on in future challenges.

Before the challenge I spent considerable time building 4 craftsman boxcar kits which did get completed except for lettering.  This has been my modeling for the past 4-5 months while very little work has been completed on the layout.  From this point forward I plan to spend time finishing the backdrop painting, wiring the staging yard, finishing the track work from the staging yard to the main layout, playing with planetary stepper motors to control turnouts and working on the N scale modules.  This should give me enough variety to avoid burnout, which seems to take longer to recover from each time it happens.

Well enough of this, have a great day everyone.

52o breezy and chilly with the sun  8)

The funeral was well over an hour long. We left after the service. With tomorrow's eye overhaul we didn't want the Doll exposed to any bugs so we skipped the lunch. Probably some fine Hispanic fare.  :D

Might work on something with the layout this afternoon.

Be well all.

Hey Ron,

Quoteplaying with planetary stepper motors

This caught my attention. Any pictures of those motors or a link to where purchase. I'm always looking for geared output on motors.

Tom did we miss the judge's birthday today???

If we did I'll have a drink to celebrate McKenna on the rocks should do the trick.
