Thanks Rick. Yes I used his diorama was a reference then put I own spin on it.
Brian did a lot of great looking dioramas.

Larry I have been having that same discussion with myself.

Curt I feel your pain. I went back and forth on the idea of just doing dioramas for
probably a year or better before making my final decision. I did make a couple of small
dioramas in the interim just to see if that would scratch my itch.

This is the last piece of the puzzle; the final mini scene. The LP is another from Rusty Rail colored with chalks and clear alcohol then dusted with black chalks to bring out the details. The skin areas are painted with a flat flesh colored paint. Sam's strong arming a barrel of flour to the back door of the Mercantile, of course he'll have to stop and move that darn ladder; when that's finished there's a barrel of pickles sitting on the pallet waiting to go into the Store.

Here's an overall view of the diorama from the front. When I get a sunny day I may take O'Neils outside for some final photos. I'm quite pleased with the way this turned out and after looking at it for a couple of days I think I have the right amount of details so I'm going to call this one done.

Thanks to everyone for following along and leaving all those great comments; they're appreciated. For all you lurkers out there I hope you enjoyed this build. As far as what's next? I'll have to think on it for a week or so and see what strikes my fancy; although I do have ideas rumbling around in the old noggin.
