Well, as the sign said in the construction zone, "Temporary inconvenience, permanent improvement."  Hope you'd get up and around quickly.

Dave, wishing you a full recovery and lots of happy modeling. 47 years of marriage is quite a milestone. I hope you got that t-shirt.

Dave, here's hoping you are still on the mend, and without any more set backs.

The latest update is that I had to go through a second surgery eight weeks( August 12) after the first cancer surgery ( May 27)
The rod replacing most of my my femur, chewed up the bottom end of what was left of the femur, where it connects into the knee. It failed. So I had to get in for a knee replacement as well. Its been a long recovery due to the complications of both surgeries on the same area. The scar goes from my hip down past my knee. ( Im unlikely to do any Speedo swimsuit ads)

I still use the walker most of the day. I can now Drive. I do grocery shopping with the use of the store's electric cart. Using the walker is a challenge in the parking lot to get into the store though. I can get down to the basement to do laundry. Hopefully getting back to hobbies is not far away.

Thank you ALL for your encouragement and prayers.

Howdy Dave,

It's good to hear that you are on the mend.  The process sounds exhausting and painful.  We're looking forward to your return to the bench.

Have fun,
