Morning all,

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.  We're headed to Dubuque, IA today where my wife's family is from to celebrate her mother, who's in her 90s and more active than I am.  :D

TV arrived and installed yesterday.  Took me half an hour to load in the wifi/apps, etc.  I'm sure I'll be getting questions/complaints from the wife, who couldn't really figure out the last "smart" TV in the 16 months we had it.

Let's have a good week!

Good morning, Jeff and later arrivals.  The sun is peeking through clouds over the NH seacoast right now. 60F, with showers and wind gusts forecast later.  Guess I'll have to move the chickens' food dishes under one roof or another this afternoon, though they don't go back to the pellets much after breakfast.  Probably modeling this evening, there's bookkeeping and outdoor chores first.

Mother's Day greetings to all.  The best of a day for everyone.

2 shifts of visitors today, both of the Doll's daughters, at different times.  Families can be stressful.

MIGHT mow the back half later, or not.

Still a neophyte of the smart tv, ::)  Not my best showing.  I did manage to get the hoops on yesterday w/out help.

Be well all.   8) Sun and decent here today, almost 50 and going to60s as did yesterday.

Morning all,

Smart TV's are annoying. Sometimes not too smart as well. Mine sends me a notification, once a month, that says we watched our TV less than an hour a day. I don't know where it gets that idea from. It's on most of the day. Granted, I may not be actively watching it but it's on none the less.  :P

I'm on the hook for preparing dinner tonight and cleaning up. Ginger roasted chicken with pearl onions and potatoes. That's a relatively easy dish. I hope to squeeze in some workbench time before I have to get that in the oven.

Tomorrow morning, I'm driving some friends, husband and wife, to the airport. They have to fly up to Cleveland because the husband's brother is in the hospital and will likely depart this earth sometime in the very near future.

Have a great one!

Afternoon all,

I'm in the train shed working on the Horwood Bros. build. Pam is chilling by the pool.

Have a great day ya'll.

Smart TVs are appalling!  They're espionage devices that masquerade as entertainment.  Best thing to do is disconnect it from the Internet, and get a separate TV interface (in particular Apple TV.)  Or at least configure your router to prevent all outgoing connections except the streaming services you've signed up for.

I posted some photos on the rock cliffs I've been working on to my layout thread:  https://modelersforum.com/index.php?topic=7372.msg205369#msg205369
