51 in Grant right now, clouds, a chance of PM rain and a high of 70.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Breakfast burritos stuffed with eggs, chorizo and cheddar for breakfast today.

TomO, glad you enjoyed the flick and that's a heck of a growth spurt your grandson had.

Curt, thanks for the ACLTom update and hope your day is less stressful.

Mike, maybe you'll make it upstairs today.

Yes, phones do take nice pictures but I can do more with my cameras RAW files in PS.

Messed with the camera some but still won't power on.
I'll wait till I get back home and take it to the camera shop there.
Up much too early again but there's a hike I'm doing nearby and want to get my usual early start.
After that I'll drive a little closer to the Ouray area.

Good morning. 4 hours sleep and I'm wide awake.

The coffee is in the silver bullet, Ashpit blend and it smells strong but not so strong that a stir stick can stand straight up. I think you'll like it. The sodas, pops, cokes whatever your regions calls them are in the cooler at the end of the serving bar. Juices, milks and creamers are there too! We have excellent pizza cold slices, pancakes with and without chocolate chips, Wisconsin maple syrup and for those watching their glucose numbers we have the Delaware Chemical sugar free substitute. Proteins are turkey sausage, pork sausage and fried ham steak. We have a pumpernickel bread fresh from the oven that is quite warm and a thick sliced sourdough that's a touch oven warm yet. I'm having an almost frozen diet Dr Pepper.

No clue what today will bring! It's a chilled morning at 53f degrees heading to 85 per the WeatherChannel app or 89 per the local ABC media station website. I don't understand the difference as they are both owned by Allen Media!

This morning I will be working on finishing birch trees and adding mounting pins into the trunks of some aspen trees. I also took a few deciduous tree forms out of storage from my layout and the foliage is going to be changed to Autumn colors after the bright peak of the September color change. My plan is for Fridays work session to bring 4 various sizes of each species.

The granddog is awake so we will head outside. He refused to go home Monday night refusing to leave his stall in the stables where he slept while the family was in Door County.  So the son in law moved his sleep crate back into there. During the day Crosby the dog not the former GB Packer kicker hangs out with the daughter in her offices across the breezeway from us. Then goes home with her when she is done for the day. But the not going home at night is new!

Got up at 5 am this morning. The animals have had breakfast and I had my normal bowl of raisin bran and a coffee. Nothing much planned for today other than the extended family is going out to supper.

We will swing by the house and check on things today. We should be moving back in on Friday.

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice photo of the dunes. Hope the camera is fixable for future photos. Nice to hear you say "when you get back home"; always a good thing having a permanent place to "hang your hat".

Tom O sounds like the trees are quite the project. Nice you're able to make good looking trees; mine usually suck. Dogs seem to have their own personalities just like humans. Thanks for breakfast #2.

Curt I'm sure you'll be happy to get back home; hope things are on schedule over there.

It's a rainy 68 with a high of 71; should be an all day event. Maybe some bench time this am then early this afternoon I have my yearly "Medical physical"....woot...woot. It amazes me how much they DON"T check anymore.

Greetings from mid Michigan, sunny  with temp in low 60s.  Lower humidity than we've had, should make for a nice couple of days.

I did little on the layout yesterday.

Appreciate the compliment, saw a nearly identical shot on the TV weather App this am.  I'm well aware of the magic hidden in those RAW files, I use it at times in my 'old' PSElements program when I have used my Nikon. 

LarryC, I hear you on the lack of checking of anything in the semi-annual visits with the medical provider.  Mine doesn't check anything, female I see first checks vitals, he reads the labs before he comes in, asks if anything bothering me, says my A1C is "ok" then sends me out to get an appt in 6 months.  One check is a Wellness Check, the other a Physical, neither is impressive.  Neither is anything different from the other. 

No big plans for today.

Current weather here is 20c (68f) and raining.  It's a great day to be at work.    No modeling last night as I had a meeting to attend, which went well.  Today is my last day of work this week (I'm getting 5 days off) so hopefully I'll be able to get back to the turntable build.

I manage to get the battens on the wall and started the shingles.

My previous primary care guy did a much more comprehensive physical than my current guy.  That would include EKG, once or twice a stress test, and maybe something else I've forgotten.

But the current guy is checking what's most important, and I know if I ask for more, he'll be happy to provide it.

Good afternoon from under the trees! It's 80f degrees and very nice out. Low humidity, decent breeze and I'm just enjoying life. The granddog is curled up in the daughter's workshop and had no interest coming outside with me. She's giving a dollhouse Clinic in the shop.

No the trees are not done. The Golden Light Texture Paste for the bark is not curing as it should after 16 hours. I now have 80 trees on 2 pieces of foam board and an oscillating fan blowing air across them. Ai strongly said not to put them in the dehydrator and then suggested the fan.

I have not started the maples beyond stripping a few deciduous trees from storage of its foliage. My goal is to get the birches and Aspens complete before the Maples

If I have to after dinner I will use the hair dryer on some trees to take on Friday to check for overall height fit. Trees are planned to be completed on 10/7 a week ahead of another "invite" Ops Session. This session itsca crew from Tulsa!

The mosquitos since Saturday have been non invasive because of the winds. So I still have not had a chance to test out the Thermacells
