Good morning,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Good luck cleaning the van.

TomACL, good luck with the PET/CT scan.

Larry, good luck with the steps, tedious as they may be.

TomO, have fun with the slots.

Karl, good morning.

Curt, happy anniversary!

Philip, have fun in the shop.

Ron, thanks for the modeling info.

Dave, good luck with the corner lighting.

Jerry, good luck with the shingles and errands.

How is the rest of the crew?

It was a rainy morning, but sunny the rest of the afternoon.  Horrendous storms are headed our way.  No upstairs plans today.  Yesterday, I went to the DMV and the County Tag agent to transfer the title and get a new plate.  The process took less than 10 minutes.  I was impressed. Plan to see Disclosure this afternoon with the family.  Maybe a short cruise after lunch.

Have fun,
mike

Mr. Indy went to Hardinsburg animal clinic for an exam and x-rays. I suspect he may have been hit by a car. When a car goes by he darts (limps) for the door. Very unusual behavior for the old Tomcat.

Quote from: PRR Modeler on June 17, 2026, 09:03:19 AMGood Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast . Glad the DMV fiasco is over this time. It sounds like you have a bunch of hiking areas around you.

Had a second Good night's sleep in a row but the critters woke me up with their scratching to let me know they were dying of starvation. ::) I meant to post earlier but got sidetracked by chores. The floors are done. Yesterday I glued the second layer on the four walls and put them under weight overnight.

Today I'll start on the wall planking. MOH comes back today which happens to be our 48th wedding anniversary. We are saving for a 50th trip to the Galopagoes something that is on Kathy's bucket list, but it's definitely not cheap.$$$$$

I hope everyone has a good day.

Happy 48.

#50 for us is coming in September. While it doesn't seem like yesterday the time really has flown, best move I've ever made.

Happy Anniversary Curt & Kathy!!  I hope you have many more!!  :)

Good morning everyone.

54 here now, sun and clouds for the rest of the day with a high of 74.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
This breakfast is a bit different but it's one of my favorite sandwiches.
Buttered and toasted whole wheat bread with peanut butter and jelly.

Curt, a belated Happy Anniversary.

Philip, how's Mr. Indy?

Mike, how was the movie.
That's one I want to see.

Jerry, hoping there aren't any errands today.

Dave, since you haven't mentioned it in a while I'll assume the eyesight is very good now.

Ron, feel like doing anything last night?

Karl, hope there weren't any storm issues.

TomO, sounds like a movie worth watching but I'll wait till it's streaming.

Larry, how's the railing go?

ACLTom, hope very much that there isn't a serious prostrate issue.

James, how the 1:1 track work going?

Didn't go to the gym because my body was telling me it needed a rest.
Only need to empty some things from the storage box on the back of the van and it will be ready for the next trip.
But, I will need the tires rotated too.
Gym this morning and I need to call Railroad Retirement to change banks for the direct deposit.

Good morning, Rick and those who look in later. Damp and 60-ish on the NH seacoast with potentially severe thunderstorms later. But along the NE coast that isn't anything like it might be in Oklahoma - the worst thunderstorm my mother remembered would be a Dust Devil there; it picked up a haystack from a nearby field.

Trolley track work is put aside till next week. We needed to increase the gauge on a sharp curve, but were too close to a switch frog to move the outer rail. So we dismantled a restraining rail joint and ground the inside running rail a little shorter - our abrasive rail saw couldn't work in the confined space.  Late next week we'll reassemble it and see what gauge we can achieve.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks or the coffee and breakfast. I'm not surprised you needed a rest day; seems you've been going pretty hot & heavy with the house and all. Good luck with the retirement transfers.

James sounds like an interesting problem with the 1:1 track; hope it works out ok. Hopefully the storms will pass on by.

What's on your plate today.

It's partly sunny @ 71 with a high of 78 with rain some time before noon. Been windy but nothing too severe. More errands this am; they seem to be never ending lately. Hopefully an update some time today on the Mercantile.

Have an enjoyable and safe day!! Be well.

Philip

Good morning James and Rick and incoming crew.

Thanks for the coffee Rick!

We dodged the grunt of storms overnight. Indiana is getting hammered with flash floods.
Pouring right now.

Indy is home. He's lucky again. Some type of pinched nerve in his spinal cord. No bruising so only Indy knows how he messed himself up. I still suspect he got bumped by something. The vet gave us 5 doses of meloxicam for pain. Time will tell. He's puttering around this morning doing what cats do. He was watching TV earlier in my Son's room. Purrrr ;)

Have a great day!

Good Morning All,

Rick thanks for opening and breakfast, but I had a pecan roll MOH brought me from a bakery. Good luck with the retirement account.

Started the day with a walk at 79F and high humidity. Yesterday I managed to complete one wall which took almost 3 hours. My fingers and back were sore after that. MOH made it home late afternoon with 33 kits (not  the fun modeling kind). They're in 3 pens, get fed every 4 hours and are hand size. They start to go to their homes on Saturday.

Today I'm running errands for MOH then later meeting up with Terry for a transfer of power. Hand powered sander. Get it? :o  ::)  :-* Sorry.

Philip I'm glad Indy is ok.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Philip, great news on Indy.  I got the results on my dogs from their annual vet check.  One needs some more dental work (but that's good news, usually both need dental stuff.)  But he also has some elevated liver enzymes, so they'll do an ultrasound while he's under.  That's scheduled for next month.

I didn't get anything done on the layout yesterday.  When I got back from our lunch, I watched some World Cup games.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick,  Hopefully the pension transfer goes smoothly.

Philip, glad Indy's on the mend and feeling better.

Current weather here is 16c (61f) and raining.  Supposed to rain all day.  Didn't make it to the basement last night as my foam came and ended up playing with that instead.  The plan is to use it to pad the models I take with me to train shows to protect them during transport.  We shall see what tonight brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. Getting set up in a new home takes time. It's all part of the fun in moving in.

Rick I had my prostate removed six years ago. The 0.20 is very low on the scale but Dr. wanted the PET/CT for reference and to see if any cancer cells are attached anywhere else. At most I may be seeing some localized radiation as it is very early in the game.

Philip, glad to hear Indy is moving around and doing what cats do.

Rose garden is half finished and mulched. We'll get more rose bushes this Saturday and I'll finish the garden then.

Have a wonderful and happy day everyone.

COLD and GreyHere in Michigan today, chance of some rain and wind then not, later.  It started in the mid 50s and will venture into the mid 60s. Wind is there this morning for sure.

Today is payday/bill pay day.  I have an amazon package I will try to get returned, the easy trip to do th at yesterday was spoilt as the shop doing returns said their link to Amazon was down and had no word on when it was going to be up.  No matter how I tried could I get an alternative site to come up for that package.  I live in bib overalls and ordered a pair by Dickies in the same size as several pairs of Liberty brand I have.  Dickies were HUGE, like a comic "before" picture.  The Doll thought if she washed them in hot water they might shrink, way to much material to shrink enough.  Amazon is fine 90% of the time but not smiling this morning.

Layout got a couple hours out of me yesterday.

Watched 1988 movie Fallen, the other night...can't get that damned Time is on my Side out of my head...it's on the constant replay list along with an amateurish rendition of Oh CANADA sung at the NASCAR race a week and a half ago.... :o One weird mind-***k of a movie.

Off to the accounting office...work to do.  Maybe I can whistle.... ::)

Enjoy the day all.  :D
