Good morning folks,

Larry, thanks for opening and breakfast. Wishing you an easy day.

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning and still hot and humid.  Not sure what the day holds, but I have some 1:1 chores for this afternoon.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry.

Current temperature is a cool 19c (67f) and sunny.  Thanks for the well wishes regarding Gracie.  I'm happy to report the surgery went well and she is currently in recovery.  If all goes well she should be able to come home today (fingers crossed).

Nothing to report on the modeling front.  We shall see what today brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Fireworks are illegal here, but people across the street didn't get the message.  The adjacent town allows fireworks, and there was a lot of noise from there.  But fortunately, they all stopped by 10:00 (in the past, they've shot them off well past midnight), and my one dog emerged from the back of the closet by 10:30 (after being coaxed out with a treat.)

Last night's Scotch Club was mostly US Single Malts ("Scotch" whiskey distilled in the US), along with a few bottles of Bourbon.  We had samples from KY, CO, WA and OR.

Today's plan is more trees.  What I need to cover is the joint between the landscape and the backdrop, a relatively long distance but only 2"-4" deep.  I need to dig out my Super Tree material and do the 'dip into matte medium' preservation treatment.  I also have some Martin Wellberg tall shrubs, but I'm sure I could use some more.

Morning all,

The excitement ended about 1130 last night. Didn't hear the ambulance so the 4th was a success.

Glad to hear Gracie will coming home!

I made it to the basement and did a little work on the fiddle dormers yesterday. Ah!

Have a great Sunday!

Jerry

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.

Mike get the 1:1 chores done and get back to the bench.

Ron glad to hear Gracie is doing fine.

Dave good luck planting the trees.

Philip be looking for another update.

Weather in South Jesy is P. sunny/78.  Later 87.
After the storm last night it cooled off a little but the humidity is still here.
With the room a little cooler I should be able to get some bench time in.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. Hope you have an easy day.

I just finished chores. Later I have to drive grandson to an interview. One more kit went to it's permanent home last night leaving 1 left out of the 33. Not sure if I'll make it to the workbenchtoday.

Tomorrow after chores I have several errands and I'm sure Dad will want to go places also.

Just another day.

Ron I'm glad Gracie is doing well.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Cool breezy hazy brightness here on the lake shore.

The 4th was quiet here, few fireworks close by and the lowlight was the tick activity we encountered into the evening little b*****ds >:(  hopefully we found them all.

Lots of storms in the home area did continue to cause damage. A photo from my cam there shows some fog this morning but the power company map shows damage was all South of us.  I received no notice from them so far of any issues. Their snitch meter usually lets them know if the power is off.  Then they email me with some made up guess when they are going to be fixed.

We drove past the paper plant in town and there was a couple of people switching boxcars on their short line with a track mobile ,"Hercules" brand name on it.

Lots of folks in town but no place to park.

Little else to mention this morning.

Be well all. Enjoy a safe Sunday. The less heat and humidity is nice here. I can imagine the lower state is feeling better but lots of storms stuff distressing.

Good morning from the Left Coast. 69f degrees at 9:00am and 86 later. There is an Air Quality alert today basically I guess from the fine particles remaining from the overwhelming municipal fireworks displays. They surrounded Pasadena starting about 8:30 and were still firing off when we returned at 11 to our hotel. The hotel lobby is big, beautiful and was filled with at least 10 dogs huddled with their owners. I have no problem with fireworks displays. I have big issues when tax payer money is used though.

Today partly because of Terry's COPD and the air quality might change from visiting a few places to just staying at my sister's. I will get in the pool sometime today

Stay cool

Good Morning One and All,

Your morning beverages are at the end of the counter. Breakfast is flapjacks, butter, Vermont maple syrup along with sides of crispy bacon and /or sausages so dig in.

What's your plan today?

It's a cloudy comfortable 71 with a high of 77 and rain. Never made it to the bench yesterday, too many other distractions; maybe today. Grocery shopping is on tap shortly just because I like to eat a few times a day. Other than that not a whole lot going on here.

Have a great day!! Be well, keep cool, and stay safe.

Good morning, Larry and crew. I'll add a basket of fresh black raspberries to the counter.

Overcast with highs in the mid-70s along the Gulf of Maine.  I'm off to work on the double slip switch at Seashore. If we can get the last rail joint made up, next step will be leveling and spiking.

Morning Larry and others drifting in,

Thanks for pancakes and Vermont maple syrup Larry, Can I get the syrup heated?

My plan for today is to get to the Derm. Doc and get these dang stitches out of my scalp. Then he'll remove the squamous cancer from my left calf. Goodie for me, I get to lay in bed for a few days and keep the leg elevated to reduce swelling. Oh the joy of being fair skinned and living in Florida.

I'll try to check in using the laptop but no promises.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.
