Good evening, all. I drove up to Conway NH this morning for a Flying Yankee work day. Sunny and warming from 60s to high 70s, but then clouds came in. Rain started about 2 PM and it rained on me all the way home.  We pretty much filled the dumpster with stuff from our containers that had been put there during the shut-down clean up when contractor work last stopped almost 20 years ago.

I stopped in at the Heritage Park & Railroad Museum in Union NH on my way home. I had a good conversation with RIch B., who was staffing it with a friend.  He's an experienced modeler who's done a lot of work on their layout.  Dave contributed a bunch of boxcars to their fleet a few years back, but that may have been documented on RR-Line.

A very quick good morning to all this morning.

I just got here to the Great Sand Dunes NP.
Going to try and get some pictures at sunrise but there aren't any clouds so don't know how that will turn out.

Sunny and low 80's here at the park today.

I'll do some hikes later today here at the park and I think Star and come too on some of them.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening Rick.

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 78F and moderate humidity. It looks like it rained over night but I didn't hear it.

Yesterday I completed the floor bracing for all cupolas and attached a large detached roof with rafter tails on a end wall.

Today after chores I hope to get to the workbench.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for opening and have a safe and enjoyable hike with Star.

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. have fun at the bench.

What's your plans today?

It's a p  sunny 63 with a high of 73. Finally received some rain yesterday so maybe the grass will green back up. Haven't mowed in over 2 weeks to prevent grass burning; may have to mow this week sometime. Dinner went well yesterday with our Daughter and the pork tenderloins were outstanding. Maybe some bench time today.

Have a great and safe day!!! Be well and keep cool.

Good morning, all. I'll put another basket of Yellow Transparent apples on the counter. Sunny, headed for 78F in the lower Merrimack Valley this morning, all the vegetation looks happy with yesterday's rain.  My wife and I are off to the HUB Division cookout at Waushakum Live Steam after breakfast; that's always a good time with old friends.  Kid will be out looking for jobs (the restaurant slots he had got refilled during the hiking trip).

Rick, Great Sand Dunes sounded familiar so I looked it up: I've been as close as Alamosa but our plan had us chasing the narrow gauge train out of Antonito and sleeping in Chama. I note it's an International Dark Sky park, so I hope you have time to check out the stars after dark.

Good morning everyone,

You are up early Rick, hope you get great sunrise pictures and enjoy your hike.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, sounds like your making progress on your build.

Larry, glad you had a great time with your daughter, have fun at the bench today.

James, enjoy the cookout.

Current weather is a cool 15c (60f) and the sun is out.  Busy day planned today as I"ll be going to my mom's shortly to do some weeding that I had planned to due yesterday, but didn't happen due to a rain out.  After that it's a grocery run and then I plan to watch the race.

I did make it down stairs yesterday as I started adding feeder wires to the staging yard and glued down the tie template for the switch that leads to the staging yard.  I also adjusted a couple of turnout throws.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

Rick have a safe and enjoyable hike with Star.

Larry, I always enjoy my time with my daughter.

Yesterday's grass cutting went very well. There was a SE sea breeze and I could just catch the ocean smell.

James didn't mention the wind here today.  A dead pine tree blew down last night, that thump got our attention.  The wind helps keep the bugs away, so that's an advantage.  Once again, our neighborhood was on the edge of a storm that rolled through yesterday afternoon (about the time Scotch Club would have convened if it hadn't been cancelled.)  So we got some rain, more wind, but not what they got in the next town north.

:'( SMOKY Hot again in Michigan after a pleasant reprieve yesterday.

Plans centered on indoor activity today.

Enjoy all.

Good Morning;

Rick thanks for opening. It appears lots going on today. My better half is taking me to the movies later and we are heading to the chop house for dinner afterwards.

I have been slowly working on the pickle factory scratch build. For some reason I got a bug to build a true wood ladder made of 2 x 12 uprights and 2 x8 steps. It had to have the 25% step angle found on most ladders and the wood had to go in the right direction. I know, rivet counting in HO scale. I made a jig using the 3D printer and think I got it. So I did the same for the wood staircase.

Hope everyone has a great day.

We had a storm at dusk with 100mph winds. Freakish winds. Tree's down everywhere in the neighborhood and chainsaws were blaring including mine. I'm glad I had those old trees removed! All quiet now with the heat. Everyone is worn out! I expect the 2 cycle excitement to start again after dinner.

The maple tree my neighbor had fell on his car. The company I used gave him an estimate and at the time said it was high. OK......... ::)

Another mountain of limbs and branches on the burn pile.
