Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfasts Rick and Curt, there is a nice selection this morning.

Another overcast say with rain in the forecast for this afternoon.  Current temperature is 9c (48f).  Not much time at the workbench last night as by the time I got home, ate supper and cleaned up, I just didn't feel like doing anything.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, assorted pastry from Costco, OJ, and soda.

Slept in a little which was needed. MOH is still sleeping which is almost shocking! Just fed the ravenous beasts and sitting alone drinking coffee.

Yesterday was good and bad. The screen is fixed. The pump needs a new impeller. Somehow the screw holding it in came out which destroyed it. A new one should be here today. Dad ordered new hearing aids. Next appointment in 2 weeks to pick them up and fitting them. After that we went out to supper.

Today I need to inventory our batteries for our needs in case of extended power outages during hurricane season that starts on June 1st. After that I hope to get to the workbench.

Nothing much else happening this way.

Not much else to report.

Have a safe and laid back day everyone.

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Hope you enjoy the day.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a bright morning with nice temperatures.  I have nothing on my calendar for the day, but prep a rack of ribs for smoking tomorrow.  Although I had planned to do upstairs activities yesterday, I did not make it up there.  Maybe today.

Have fun,

Temp in the 40s this morning in MI with a chance of rain this morning.  Warmer temps in the next couple of days. Here's the sunset seen through the dust of planting up on the corner...

The trip planner has been looking into the long range weather and canceled our short trip to the UP, said would just as well sit in the house here being less likely than at the bunker by the swamp.  Gas at $5 and diesel at $6.25 making the trip beyond something "just to go"  We will get up there sometime, but appointments resume at the end of May, delaying the trip.  A neighbor up there, full timer, stopped by and looked the place over and said all was in good shape.  We do miss it.

I had a can of clear that ended up with the a cap that said FLAT but it wasn't, after 2-3 coats of gloss I figured it out, found the right can, no cap on it, I had marked FLAT in marker but didnt see on the shelf.  Looks less icky with flat. Might tinker with that "quicky" project going on a week and still not ready for track time.

Issues with 3d machine, too.  Latest attempt to print an HO truck, (vehicle) it printed all the added supports and ignored the model itself.  Not sure where to go with that.  Will look around the U-tub for a video on that.

Fertilized yesterday, all the front and 1/4 of the back.  Took all I had to get that much done.  Will do the rest in a day or two.  Bought 8 gallons of gas and 4 gallons of diesel yesterday for the lawn machinery. $65 I need a flock of sheep or goats.  :o

All I have for this morning.  May slip a photo or two in here with the iphone in a few minutes.  ;) this one is an allium(sp) out on my woods.

Nice shots of the museum equipment.

Stay safe all.  High heat moving in from W to E per the local guesser.

Later all.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

It will be sunny and 86 here in Sioux Falls today.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Sorry about the pool costs and hope dad will hear better with the new hearing aids.
Nice shot of that Pennsy boxcar.

Jerry, hope all is good news at the eye doctor.

Mike, hope you see the upstairs today.

ACLTom, hope the yard work goes well.

Philip, don't look up.

Ron, hope you get home earlier today.

Karl, I guess you've run out of things to say.  ;D

Jim, hope the 3D printing is going well.

Larry, yes, the liquid precipitation is much easier to deal with.

Hope everyone else is well.

Stayed up much later than usual so I slept later than usual.
After the gym yesterday, I drove downtown and walked the sculpture walk.
There are about 50 sculptures that are located along the streets.
I was parked right in front of the CH Patisserie.
The chef was a James Beard nominee and a winner on Top Chef Just Desserts.
With such a pedigree OI had to sample one of his creations.
I had a square pastry that had a banana cream and whip cream center.
It was by far the tastiest pastry I've ever had.
The coffee was also excellent.
My mail is supposed to be at the PO today, so I'll go and get that.
Nothing else planned after that.

One more from a hike at Rapid City.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sorry to hear about your pump and hope the replacement isn't too $$$.Hope the battery inventory goes well. Nice car photos.

Tom you clean the train shed more than some people clean their homes. Don't blame you though I know I hate working in a mess.

Mike prepping ribs for smoking sounds mouth watering. One question.....what times dinner.

Jerry good luck with the eye exam; hope all goes well.

Karl we're going to get hit with heat starting Saturday into early next week; they're guessing 90 one day.

Rick really good Chefs turn cooking into a science and they know just what ingredients to add to get the desired flavors. I'm not surprised the food tasted sooooo good.

What's the rest of you up to?

It's another rainy 49 with a high of 62. Looks like tomorrow I better put in the portable A/C upstairs so I can sleep at night; a wee bit early for those kinds of temps. Received my SW order yesterday so might mess around with that. I finally finished off the dirt pile yesterday; just need to do a little more raking before topsoil and grass seed.

Have a safe and enjoyable day!! Be well.

Rick, interesting rocks!   I have an app ("Rockd") that shows the rocks (geologic maps) across the world, so I looked at the Rapid City SD area.  Lots of limestones, but if you head west you start to get into some metamorphic rocks from the formation of the mountains.  Got any more photos of the rocks?

The cleaners are here so I'm sitting with the dogs.  I have a PT session this morning but the afternoon is free.  Hopefully my Amazon order gets here early (double-stick tape for the LED light strips).

My neighbor got new hearing aids and has been very happy with them.  He got them while he was still on his wife's health plan (she retires next month), so that plan paid for part of the cost.  He got the upgraded version, so it still wasn't cheap.  I'm still waiting for the call from the surgical center to schedule the cataract surgery next Tuesday.  But I've managed to get eyedrops actually into my eye for the 2nd day.  That's A Good Thing.

Good morning Crew from Wisconsin. Another beautiful day with high temperature crossing 80f degrees. We need rain but so far everything is still green.

Today is the first Friday since September that I can remember not going to a OPS session or layout work session unless we were traveling.

I feel as though I've been run over as the past couple weeks every bone in the body it seems like has ached. The doctors are practicing but seem clueless at this time. So today I am resting.

One of the boys down the street saw the bags of mulch in the garage Tuesday and asked if I needed help. He emptied 15 bags of Mulch delivered free from HomeDepot a few weeks ago yesterday under Terry's supervision. He is the remaining Somali immigrant in the house owned by the church. The house is a show piece that acts as a gateway for some of the church sponsored immigrates. Unfortunately the church was bringing in undocumented and an accident of running a stop sign really set things off. He is the remaining member at the house that is listed for sale now. He has become the church's ground crew and is always asking the neighbors if they need help. I finally said yes and am really grateful for the help. He along with the son in law also set out all the outdoor furniture. So I'm outside relaxing in 64f degree sunshine today for the 1st time this season.

Mulch has been $2 per bag and free delivery. I cannot see how HD can make out on that. Usually we order a 2-3 yard load of mulch but this year I knew we both couldn't handle it so just going to to reset around the trees. He did a great job and the yard looks good again.

I can sit at the bench after a few Ibuprofen in me and work maybe an hour before I have to move around. I knew something was off when we came back April 13th from the travels. But Ibuprofen knocked it out. I then realized how many I was taking and called the Clinic last week. I'll be fine but they have to find the cause 1st

Have a great day

TomO, have you had any medication changes in the last 6 weeks?  Sometimes drugs, or drug interactions, can cause muscle pain.
