Rick that's a wise move getting a place you can call home. I've often wondered, but never said anything, if all that driving sitting in that position might have something to do with your recurring situation. Best of luck on the closing and I bet Star will really enjoy the snow next winter.

Tom sorry to hear about your sister and nice you're going to visit.

Jerry stay cool. Power companies just suck sometimes.

They will try again on Thursday!!

Rick

Good morning everyone.

37 in Sioux Falls now, sun in the AM and clouds moving in in the PM with a high of 61.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Basic eggs the way you like them, crispy bacon and/or sausage patties and home fries for breakfast today.

Larry, I don't think the sitting was the issue.
I think not drinking enough water was the major problem.

Philip, I do have a bunch of kits, so it's possible.

ACLTom, sorry about your sisters health issue.
All the best to you and her in dealing with it.

Mike, I'm sure I'll see lots of s$#@ in the winter.

TomO, I think I'll still be able to do enough traveling and hiking to scratch that itch.

Jerry, will it be cooler today?

Curt, any more details left to paint?

Karl, has there been any bridge scene on the layout progress?

How's everyone else.

Gym this morning.
Then I want to leave town for a few days and head south a little to do some hikes.
Before doing that I need to stop at Costco and Walmart to do a resupply.

I've been using StarLink for my internet.
It's been 160 a month for while but the price is going up to 175.
I went to Verizon yesterday and changed my cell plan to have unlimited hot spot access.
That will increase my bill by 35/month but after I cancel StarLink I'll save 140.
I know as a travel around there will be times I don't have cell service.
In those cases there will be days I won't be able to post here.

This is the bison I saw while hiking in Salt Lake City.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. At least the water consumption is an easy fix. For whatever reason as we get older we tend to drink less; I saw it both with my Dad and my FIL. I hope to avoid that issue. Looks like the Bison is keeping an eye on you.

Mike to answer your question I'll be working on a lathe from SW for the Shed and am currently working on 2 log bunks; something small to show purpose for the Shed's existence.

What's your plans.

It's a cloudy 72 with a high of 73 and a wee bit muggy. Taking Ellie to the dentist this afternoon for some dental work; let's just say my wallet will be screaming at me afterwards. Chiropractor for me shortly then maybe a little time at the bench.

Have a great and safe day!!! Be well.

Good Morning All,

Rick thanks for opening and breakfast. Interesting Bison. The upright rock to the left looks like a large bird. To me anyway. ::)

Started out the day with a walk at 75F and heading to the 90's later. Slept poorly last night so I had to force myself to do the walk. Yesterday I painted details for 3 hours. I now have 3 left to do.

Today is floor day and afterwards I plan on finishing the details. I'll take photos when I do.

Good morning,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, bacon, and eggs. Nice photo of the fluffy cow.

Larry, the SW kits sound like more fun. Good luck to Ellie at the dentist.  Ugh!

Philip, morning!

Curt, congrats on the detail progress.

Jerry, glad you had a cool day inside.

TomACL, wishing your sister healing. Good luck with the fox tail palm.

Ron, how is the Claude AI trial going?

Jim, that is one heck of a model bridge.  Congratulations!

TomO, hope you have a great day!

Karl, how is the layout progressing?

Dave, wishing you healing for your eye.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a hazy morning with rain (hopefully) late this afternoon.  I'm still working on the layout redo.  Today I have groceries and some yard work.  We have slimy mold in the lawn, so I'll try to remove it.

Have fun,
mike

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
What the hell does Star think of those things???? Hmmm big dog!!! ;D

Larry you have a busy day ahead of you.

Morning Philip.

Curt great pictures this am.

Mike that sounds like a job for a lawn doctor???

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/88,  Later on 95.
But so much cooler at the beach 60's go figure.
Then the "WEATHER WEENIES"  have rain in the forecast for the next 4 days.

I did start the shingles.  So maybe with the rain I'll get a lot of them done.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, congrats on the land house purchase.

ACLTom, sorry to hear about your sister's health issue, hoping for the best for you and her with dealing with it.

Mike, the Claude AI trial is going better than expected, AI has improved quite a bit the last couple of years.

Current temperature is 18c (65f) and cloudy, at least the heat wave is over as it fit 28c (82f) yesterday.  Yesterday ended up being very busy, as I got swamped with meetings.  :o   Last night I spent some time playing with Claude AI and I must say I'm impressed.  Now I need to figure if I would use it enough to justify the monthly fee. Not sure what tonight will bring, probably some more 3d printing and playing with arduino's and stepper motors.

Have a great day everyone.

48 with  8) sun and calm. Going to 60?  Cooler after the front passed during the day. We got no rain out of it. Drove around the area and saw considerable damage from Monday's wind. Huge trees down in one cemetery, dead folks all over the place :o  Line crews still were working in places.

1:1 and 3d printer maintenance today if things go as planned.

Little progress, Rick. Working on ground cover. I need to just jump in and make what I've done work. Will look 100% better than plywood and sticks. Rustoleum paint I used on bridge parts, spray can from big box, still has a slight tackiness to it I don't like. Hardly feel it by touch but if I lay down 2-3 bridge bents atop each other they will slightly adhere to each other after awhile.  I still need a mental plan on arranging the bridge.

BTW, the tiller started but needs some tinkering to be right, another 1:1 distraction.

97o did I read that right :o  killer for us Yankees, twice today's morning temp. 80o about did me in a couple days ago  :P wide ranging temperature swings are hard to deal with a/c at noon, heat at wake-up the next morning.  Were are also dealing with high levels of faint yellowish powder from the pines, pollinating.

Excited for you Rick on the house deal. Looking at Souix Falls IMAGES search, some nice pics on there, also find it is in Minnehaha County!  Looks like a nice sized city.

Enjoy all. Be safe

TomO/Tloc

Good morning Crew. Cool day that started with clear skies and real blue but now it's a cloudy overcast ugly.

Heading out for our weekly Yhursday breakfast/lunch today because our companions are leaving tonight for a recruiting trip

Be well

Good evening, all, and a wish to Rich that his house purchase works out well.  Yesterday's York County, ME high was indeed 97F (even hotter at my house) but in the vein of "Don't like the weather? Just wait a few minutes", tomorrow's forecast high is 66F.  What I'm doing at the Trolley Museum needs long pants regardless, but I'll be swapping sunscreen for long sleeves.

Good evening and the bar is open!

The popcorn is fresh and needs 2:15 in the microwave if you want more tonight. The flavor is white cheddar by Jolly Time with just the correct amount of popcorn salt added. Followed up by an ice cold diet soda and all is good.

I worked on my own paper mill design. The same 30" x 30" template I posted the other day. Trying to align the piping, pipe racks and bridging

Then tried to get designs of the pipe racks and a side view showing the heights and positions of the piping. No luck

Watched the PWHL finals as Montréal won the whole thing, congrats. Can't believe who they gave the MVP too but the team I wanted won
