Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, enjoy your hike with Star this morning.

Current weather is 23c (73f) and sunny.  Spent last night working on cleaning up the train room, made a significant dent, I can walk around withing bumping into things again.  ;D  Although that was the easy part, the permanent home for a lot of the stuff on the floor was the trash bin.  Also dismantled a couple of Ikea chairs that we have no use for anymore, don';t think the trash man will be very happy with me this week.  Tonight's plan is to pack up the tools I usually bring to a show as we are displaying and running trains at a train show in Arnprior this weekend, set up is tomorrow.  Might also get to continue the cleanup in the train room.

Have a great day everyone.

Philip the OZ Fest is all about the "Wizard of Oz" book/movie. Frank L. Baum, who was the author, was born in Chittenango NY but his family move to Syracuse NY when he was 2 years old. This celebration has been going on for 40+ years and I'm proud to say I've never been once and plan on keeping it that way. Sadly it goes on rain or shine.

Sorry to hear about Jim and Rich; neither one of those situations is good.

Good morning. Yesterday 16 F35's buzzed the house. Just a few minutes ago it was 3 very small slow yellow biplanes!

The Air NationalGuard is holding an exercise called Sentry North 2026 till 6/15 at Volk Field where they can go supersonic over the  bombing range and beyond! About 100 miles north of us, they do big sweeps occasionally and fly over head when exercises happen. Maybe once a week we get the F35's from Truax Field (Dane county Airport) fly overhead in groupings of 2-6. Sounds of freedom. I used to travel Wi. Hwy 54 and 173 sometimes late at night. One time traveling back from a trade show in early Winter with my Sales Manager we were on one of them. He was driving! We got buzzed I swear 100' above us by 2 jets, I damn near had a heart attack after they went over us. Robert never reacted! He saw them coming up behind us and growing up near the Hardwood Air-to-Ground Weapons Range just north of Volk Field he knew what was happening.

Breakfast out today (it's Thursday) is still a debate. Today we want to try a new to us Chocolatier but can't find what time it opens. Breakfast maybe near there. If not we will head downtown to Kilwin's. Though a national franchise they are owned by individuals and the Madison store on State Street is absolutely excellent. One of the chocolatiers could not make in her own store front and works for Kilwin's now. The change up is maybe doing our early seasonal drive to the Wisconsin Dells for a great hamburger lunch then the chocolate shop next door and the candy store across the street. Other than Salt Water taffy on the Altantic City Boardwalk many years ago the best I've had is in the Dells.

The grandson cut the lawns yesterday and is getting better and quicker. He has 3 neighbors of mine and does ours last. While the girls were inside the grandson and me were on the deck after he took a quick shower.  At around 8 we ate grilled shrimp and french fries. Terry offered him one of the milk shakes they made for dinner. He likes hot spicy food so I have my brothers super spicy jerk rub and did that on his shrimp. He was in heaven. I took him home and with his dad we ran the slot cars for a couple hours, a good time.

If there's any modeling time it will be after dinner time this evening.

Enjoy the day
Tom
