Good morning, all.  I hope everything, including the driving, turns out well, Dave.  Sunny and headed for the 80s on the NH seacoast.

Curt, I made a layout-edge dam a bit more than 2" wide from thin clear ?styrene? maybe .020 thick. In pictures it looks like it came from plastic packaging.  I glued it to the layout edge with epoxy (so my old posts say:  https://modelersforum.com/index.php?topic=6843.120 ), then peeled it off and sanded both the epoxy and Envirotex to smooth them once the last pour curved.  Then I touched up the black paint on the hardboard fascia.

My track height is about 42 inches, so only the littlest visitors are looking into the edge of the "water".

Clouds and RAIN steadily falling outside the window this morning.  More soaking that is welcome.  :D

Might get back at the layout a bit more, I did a little bit of work on the trestle yesterday and it photographs 'ok'.  Much more to do, but need to get there before the next trip, yet unplanned, to the North County.

Watched Randolph Scott in CANADIAN PACIFIC on the tube last night.  Formulaic melodrama based around construction of the railroad.  Some quick shorts of steam in the opening moments.  One old beater off and in throughout.

Rain at times is the threat for the next three days.  Storms tomorrow into Thursday. :o

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Don't overdue on the floors and I'm sure you'll figure out the resin situation.

Dave best of luck on eye #2. Maybe close your eyes while the wife drives.

Tom have fun at practice. Bowling should be winding down soon?

Rick hope the closing goes smoothly.

James good morning.

Karl have fun at the bench.

Jerry bank trips are always interesting.

What's on your agenda?

It's a sunny 76 with a high of 88. Woke up to a big mess outside; the septic tank inlet was plugged so everything from last night went up the vent tube and onto the ground. Cleaned everything up and used a plunger and hose to get rid of the blockage. Will be watching that close for a few days. The Buick is all fixed and has to clear 1 more, of 2 tests, to pass inspection. Going to settle up with the garage, drop off the Escape for inspection then drive the Buick the next 3 days and see if that trips one of the tests since they're very busy right now. No bench time yesterday and probably none today either. Spent 5 hours staining the front porch yesterday.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Morning all,
Good luck Dave!

Busy in this joint today.

Are you going to sell the Mercedes Rick? You can buy lots of kits with the money! ;)

Larry.  Overflow on aisle 1 .....OMG just terrible.
I hate to patch every barrel. What is weird was the first several batches I printed were perfect. Haunted software or a corrupted file. Yet another try today!

A much needed rainy day is here!

Have a good en!

Evening crew. Was digging through my slides from way back when looking for specific pictures. I found almost all I was looking for.

Everybody is excited about seeing 4014. Back in 1975 I got a chance to get up close and personal with 4014's older brother, 4012 in Steam Town Vermont.

And while up in that area I stopped by what was then the home of the two foot gauge railroad museum and got a picture of the now being restored Flying Yankee (?).

Interesting photos, Bernd. I first saw Steamtown in the 1960s when my parents drove me there. I might be able to find prints from that era but the negatives were 620 format which my present scanner can't handle.  Air-line maybe 80 miles to Bellows Falls from here but it took about 3 hours on a roundabout route. More like 2.5 hours now, NH roads only get improved if they 1) are a popular tourist route or 2) get rural legislators to Concord (they're very poorly paid and most live within 2 hours drive) I recall the 1960s paint as being fresher.

Between 1967 and 1993 the Flying Yankee was displayed at the Edaville Railway in South Carver, MA, southeast of Boston near Cape Cod.

Good morning everyone.

68 now, clouds and wind most of the day with a high of 84.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Two eggs the way you like them, crispy bacon and/or sausage links and home fries for breakfast today.

Where is everyone?  ;D

Bernd, nice photos.

Philip, no plans to sell the van because there is more traveling left to do.
No need to buy kits either because I have more than enough.
Also it will be a while before modeling might start again.

Larry, sorry about that nasty mess and hope it is now resolved.

Curt, I was really asking where you're picking the kit up from.
Is it from Terry again?

Jerry, hope there weren't any bank issues.

Karl, if it's raining stay in and work on the layout.

James, have you been working on your layout or at the museum?

ACLTom, how was the bowling?

Dave, hope the procedure went well and keep the eye drops handy.

Mike, Ron and everyone else, how are you?

Not much happened here yesterday other than the walkthrough at the house.
They left the place in very good shape and only some very minor touch up work on the walls needed that a magic eraser should take care of easily.
Closing is at 8.
Then stops at Costco, Walmart and the furniture store to get my recliner.

A view at the Good Earth Park.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Hope the closing goes smoothly so can get settled in your new home. Yes everything was cleaned up yesterday and so far no more problems; it does happen very once in awhile so I know how to fix the problem. Gorgeous photo btw.

What's your plans.

It's a muggy and cloudy 72 with a high of 82 with some rain storms; hopefully nothing too severe. Dropped off the Escape at the garage yesterday noontime and drove the Buick about 50 miles. There are 4 codes in the computer and 2 have passed so hopefully by Friday one more will be met so ny Mechanic can slap a new inspection sticker on the windshield. Trying to drive and hit as many different combinations as possible. Did manage about an hour at the bench and maybe a little more this am.

Have a great and safe day!!! Be well.

Good morning,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck at the closing.

Larry, sounds like everything hit at once.  Good luck with the inspection.

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's an overcast morning with a forecast high of 88F. Humidity is 95% this morning, yuk. Yesterday I worked on the tank car for a while. New glasses are in, as well as a touch-up paint pen for my car.

Have fun,
mike

Early FOG has moved along and it is now cloudy/just changed to sunnyish, warm and humids abound :-\  storms with severe potential later in the day.  We had a little rain but not much else.  Straight line winds blew over the supply shed at the township hall of next Township E and there were at least 2 tornadoes in MICH East of us. We have 2 days of mid-late day storms in the forecast.  Sum-Sum-Summertime! ::)

Yesterday was the anniversary of the June 1953 tornado that killed 110 folks on the North edge of Flint.  Years later I can remember when I worked 4 years, weekends and summers, in Flint that it was very noticeable with no trees in the area.

I did a bit of work on the layout yesterday in the basement, got all the bents stuck to the bridge deck and filled in some of the ground cover around the footings.  More stuff possible today.  1:1 stuff to do as well.

Be well all, stay safe.
