Quiet on the beach last evening after a day of home bound 1:1 and supervising the tree guys that thinned out the dead cedars in the view from the deck. The Doll picked up a pair of hanging plants and I hung brackets for them on the deck post

Out picking up final stuff before the influx of family folks.

I still peak in at the Duluth cameras.  Not having too much luck with timing of boats transit times. Sure some neat horn salutes when they transit beneath the lift bridge. I'd love to go there but it's a good 6-8 hours from our Northern Command. Boat watching around the SOO locks is fun too.

The Soo Locks I definitely want to get to. From what I've read they are constantly busy. Enjoynthe influx of humans!

Still morning in Wisconsin as I start typing. GOOD MORNING. We cracked 80 at 9am heading to 90 but there is no breeze

The movers for some of the house are due in 30 minutes. This stuff is heading to long term storage. The closing is next week Monday the 20th

Just relaxing after helping Terry pack up her ungodly organized office that it only took 45 minutes

Painters texted my wife and daughter. The new place is scheduled for tomorrow around noon

Awesome picture Rick

Enjoy the day

Attempt number two to post this morning.
I messed up the first one.  :-[

Good morning everyone.

It's 45 now in Leadville, sun and clouds all day with a high of 69.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Porkroll, egg and cheese on an everything bagel for breakfast today.

TomO, hope things go smoothly with the move.

Karl, another excellent photo.
Love the colors.

Jerry, what's new?

Philip, the rest of the country could use some of your rain.
Hope you don't have any flooding issues.

ACLTom, all set in the shed for more important things?

Ron, good news on trains running.

Mike, Z3 all shiny?

Larry, any good progress at the bench?

Curt, hope errands with dad goes well.

How's everyone else?

Stopped in downtown Frisco and walked around with Star.
Nice little town with many coffee shops and eateries.
Found a nice spot in the forest to relax today.
Maybe a hike tomorrow.

Another view from atop Gray's peak.

Morning Rick and others,

Thanks for breakfast and the great video.  The Big Boy sure is big. Rick it got cloudy and rained so the girls pool party went inside for the day to watch "Man Hater Movies". I stayed in the train shed a got a lot of stuff rearranged and put away.

I just got back from another blood draw. This is the fourth one in 10 days. Why can't these doctors share information?

Before it gets to hot, I'm going to clean and vaccum the SUV.

Later, I'll spend time at the work bench.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Making some progress but a little slow going to get all the measurements right. Nice photo.

Tom hope they've left some blood for you. Doctors don't seem to like to she information on their patients and the insurance companies are glad they don't.

What's the rest of you up to?

It's a sunny 66 with a high of 88. Tomorrow we're under a heat advisory going to 97....yuk. Some errands to run then maybe some bench time. Not much else going on here.

Have great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning folks,

Rick, thanks for breakfast.

I'm at car dealership for an oil service.  It shouldn't take long. I'll check back when I get home.

Have fun,

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Thanks for the video. I thought you had been hacked earlier.

Started out the day with a walk at 77F with moderate humidity. Yesterday I started on the windows with more to do. Yesterday the last baby was transferred to his new home. Now we just have the one that MOH is keeping (albino with red eyes).

Today after chores will be running errands with Dad, so probably no workbench today.

My uncle texted a clip of the 4014 running in PA almost on the OH border that he caught. I'll try to post it on here but I need tech help from MOH. :-\

Tom were they on Lifetime? I call that the female propaganda channel. The man is always at fault.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, trains are not running yet but soon.  ;D

Current temperature is 23c (73f) and cloudy with thunderstorms in the forecast later today.

After errands and chores yesterday I managed to make it downstairs.  It seems 13 years of neglect causes issues to arise.  :o  Firing up the DCC system (it still works, YEA) produced an immediate short, fortunately the layout is currently broken up in 3 power districts so that narrowed down the search area.  It seems that the foam base under the crossing has developed a little bit of a sag that closed a gap on the crossing.  I was able to solve this by adding a support under the affected area.  The next step was testing out the manual turnout controls.  The manual turnouts on my layout are controlled by bullfrog switch machines made by Fast Tracks.  They all still worked except for one which was jammed and ripped itself from the layout when I tried to operate it.  :o   It was glued to the foam using 5-minute epoxy.  After looking at it, I decided to replace it entirely so I spent some time building another one, which I hope to install tonight, at least that is the plan right now.  Apparently deferred maintenance is not great for model railways either.  ;D

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. Love the scenic pictures Rick both here and FB!

Wisconsin has started with another gorgeous morning with not cloud in the sky. 96 later though.

The left ankle locked up twice overnight while trying to sleep. Clinic has room for me at 3:30 this afternoon.

Terry and I after 6 weeks have finally started to agree on the new place. She'll get an office, I don't need one. We don't need a 5 car garage and she agreed to 3. I'll get a basement but not under the garage. She gets her oversized patio and a partially screened in porch. I get the wrap around porch. We both though agreed no pool as it's too much work. I will have a second entrance to the basement in the garage. Now I can get sketching on the floor plan but mainly I need to orient the house to the site

Painters are at the temporary new digs today and tomorrow. Terry wants to move in Thursday and be settled Saturday.

Greetings from the great HOT North. Headed to excess of 100o heat index. High 90s actual temp. The kids and Doll are headed out to Tahquamenon Falls and/or Grand Marias on Lake Superior. I'm staying around'home' with some maintenance and cleaning.

We had 2 rounds of T-storms that left us 3/4" of rain in the gage.

Enjoy the day all.

Stay cool. .

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, pastry, OJ, and soda.

Today MOH was supposed to help someone with a skunk presentation to a ladies church group but she canceled. Good for her. :)

Yesterday's errands didn't happen as expected. Dad couldn't understand why he needed to do the errands and got upset. So I got pool chlorine and came back home and continued working on the kit windows.

Today after chores I hope to finish the windows I've been working on. Nothing much else on my radar today...so far.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks Curt for the breakfast.

Good morning from dew covered Wisconsin. It is wet out there and I even flipped the cushions on the furniture on the south deck and nope still too damp. The wind is at 3 so that's no help and the sun hasn't appeared yet though sunrise was at 5:31. It's 6:31 now! I'm inside till they dry.

I have a headache and a throbbing left foot. Not sure if it's a caffeine lacking headache or lack of decent sleep headache. So 3 Ibuprofen and I'm on a second zero sugar Dr Pepper. Normal for me is 1 caffeinated drink at wake up

We are going to see the Supergirl movie at 2:15 and the grandson's hockey at either 5:30 or 7:30. Can't remember but we are fairly sure with the heat index over 100f degrees at either time the granddaughter's Miracle League baseball game will be cancelled

We have heard the Supergirl movie is so bad it may turn into one of those cult type movies. Also heard a few political comments about it. But like all movies we go to be entertained and decide for ourselves if we liked it or not

Enjoy your day

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. Yes, it was the Lifetime Channel or one like it.

I got lots done in the train shed yesterday but didn't have time to load, crop and post any updated photos the build.

Have a great day and stay safe ya'll.
