Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Enjoy your hike today.

I thought today would see me at the workbench after animal chores this morning but it seems MOH has other plans. :( I guess we need to (read have to) go to Costco to get Dad a new office chair. He has an almost unused Lazy Boy recliner he hardly uses, instead using a office chair to watch TV.

That's it this way other than another hot and humid day.

Rick great photo. I don't know what I did with the one's I took there.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have a safe hike. Incredible photo; I guess they weren't afraid of heights. I agree with you the elections are going to be ugly come November; I know they will in N.Y.

Curt some older folks have some strange habits sometimes but humor him while you can.

What's your plans?

It's a sunny 72 with a high of 83 and maybe some rain. Had to go to MV to get my license renewed the other day and was surprised how they've streamlined the process. Although I wasn't too happy when the fee went from $12.50 for 8 years to $64.50 for the same period. The good news is I won't have to renew it too many more times. Managed some Bech time yesterday and maybe today? A trip to Wegmans is on tap this am for Rx's for Ellie and a few groceries while I'm there.

Have an enjoyable and safe day!! Be well and stay cool.

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee & bagels.
Great picture this am.  And the video was great.

Curt gave fun picking out a chair for Dad.

Larry I just got my renewable for mine in NJ 24.00 bucks for 4 years.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/82.  Later91.
Not sure if it will be a beach day we have some things to do around the house.
Maybe some bench time before it gets to warm in my room.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Howdy.

I've already gotten all my customer calls out of the way for the day. My calendar is wide open... for work stuff  >:(  Can't wait to have my days wide open for toy train stuff.

Stay cool, everyone.

Good Morning all,

Rick, We have a racoon that was eating some of the corn. Hence the early harvest by the CEO Gena. :o
And yes the POed include FB, Youtube.

The bearing bracket was loose on the AC squirrel cage, clicking like crazy. Had it apart yesterday and fixed it. Seems ok now for a 35 year old system. Wrecked the basement and cleaned it all up last night.

Son's birthday is Friday, looking for cake somewhere today.

No modeling but I am catching up on castings and 3D prints. Jerry the building is calling me but the one one stuff persists.

Good morning from Wisconsin. We are headed to 83 today.

I finished assembly of the pony truss bridge from Walthers. The grandson will prime it today as part of his air brushing education. He likes the air brush and modifying his slot cars but has no desire to assemble structures of any kind. So as I get something assembled and it's not a commission job he's been helping out.

Thanks for yesterday's comment that he seems to have gotten the financial message. I was calm but pretty firm on explaining the consequences of a missed payment. I have always thought finance should be taught starting in middle school not social activism! He definitely got the message per his dad. He's helping in the vineyard Friday and Saturday. I think the bigger message was loans like credit cards have to be paid. He has a shared with mom debit card he has to put money in because most places here do not want or take cash. He just learned again but listened this time per his mom how to track and balance.

5 things planned today. First I must clean off my bench. It maybe the worst It's ever been. Clean and re-organize. I went to storage yesterday and pulled out 3 of the outdoor Shoi screen panel sets to screen off my workspace. Daughter agrees with her mom it should help me concentrate better and they are easy to move. Then lunch with Terry and the grandkids. Terry and the granddaughter will drop the g/s and me off at home while they go see Moana at the movie theater. The grandson will probably prime the bridge for me (I will supervise) since it's for a friend and is not a commission. Then he has a bunch of new slot car bodies in various stages of decal work and 1st coat paint. I'll work on birch trees

Enjoy your day

I need your schedule!  ;D

Hazy sun and warm with forecast of rain.  Yesterdays rain consisted of dampening the sidewalk for about 10 minutes or less.

Clean up in the work room might happen some today, it appears to be a good candidate for FEMA assistance.  My mind's not in it.  But if I find it I'll be pleased. (My mind)

Election results here are frightening :o .  One local community did pass a bond issue to build a new fire station that one of the daughters employer is in line to build, that was one of few plus marks IMHO.

Good to see the lessons you are giving the Grand Son TomO.  One of our girls went thru the hard lessons of credit cards in her 20s and now is mid 40s and has it all together, most everything paid off and saving.  If only she grasped the concept of preventative maintenance.   :-\

Little to crow about here today, be well all, stay hydrated, cool and safe.

Good morning Everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, have fun on your hike.

Curt, office chair hunting sounds like a lot of fun, good luck.

Larry, here in Ontario the cost to get your drivers license renewed is a whooping $0.00. ;D  Have fun at the bench.

Jerry, hope the thing around the house gets done quickly so you get to the beach.

Jaime, sounds like you have an easy day today.

Philip, I barely go on FB anymore.   Hope the cake search is successful.

TomO, cleaning and organizing the workbench is a task that nobody wins.  Sounds like you have a very busy day ahead.

Karl. Hope you get your modeling Mojo back today.

Current weather is 25c (77f) and cloudy.  Rain is in the forecast for this afternoon.  I did manage some time at the bench last night with some work happening on the turntable (painting parts) and some detail painting.  Not sure what tonight will bring.

Have a great day everyone,

Ron unfortunately our Governor likes "sticking it" to her people every chance she gets; hopefully November election will change that...fingers crossed.

Michigan renewals are real easy, online in moments. But holy s*** they are expensive.  :o Our insurance is expensive but tiered so it's up to you how much your coverage limits are.

TomO/Tloc

I'm back and outside under the trees as I was asked by the grandson not to hover. He said you said to lightly cover the bridge and I will do that! When he showed up he also had 4' of grandstands to prime from his slot car track. He asked if I can show him how to weather them and he had pictures of the stands in Austin! Maybe we will start that on Sunday

We did lunch out and the girls dropped us off as they headed to the movies. Before lunch it was 90 minutes of straightening out the bench. When we moved I brought my bench over and now I wish I hadn't. I may change the work surface I've been using since Nov. 2014. If I really do it will wait until we return from our September travels. I also think I'd be more comfortable back working in a L shaped area than the long 20' of bench top I have here!

Under the trees here researching a possible real estate deal. It's very nice in the shade. The son sent the Bank of Mom a proposal and BofM said to me research it. Some of the son's ideas are a bit off the wall and this is one of them. Terry has no issue telling the kids no, that's why she's the bank not me
