Sun and 55^o starting the day in Michigan.  Looks like a nice day to head toward town for a couple of Rx to pick up.  Temp going to maybe 80^o them back to quite hot next week again.

No plans, may take over TomO's project from yesterday.

IT's a bright morning forecast for hot again.  Housekeepers are here this morning, so I'll be upstairs working on the engine shed.  It's windows and rock painting I think.

Current temperature is 15c (60f) with cloudy skies.  Another evening with no modeling as I just didn't feel like it.  We shall see what tonight brings.

58 in Nederland now, cloudy and a high of 75 later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Bacon, egg and cheese on a hard roll for breakfast today.

TomO and Karl, I used to love a Coke Slurpee at 7-11 after a hot summer bike ride.

I hiked 6 miles by myself to Mitchell and Blue Lakes in the Brainard Rec. Area.
Headed back to Nederland afterward to take it easy the rest of the day.
Need to hit up a Walmart for DEF and a Costco primarily for dog food.
Next stop will be Rocky Mountain NP in a few days.

It's a clear 48 with a high of 79. An errand to run shortly then maybe some bench time afterwards. Not a whole lot more going on here.

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. I will give up the rain but they have to take the heat also!

Slept poorly last night with several up's and downs from a sore and stiff back. Of course it's sore from bending down and twisting. The scourge of senior citizens.

I'm not sure if I'll make it to the workbench today and tomorrow will be spent in the car picking up 2 surrendered animals. Joy. They are males and of course one isn't neutered.

Up and rollin' headed to first ops of the season at Keeney's Nashville Road. Sun and pleasant looking. Sporting long sleeves, the a/c supervisor keeps it on meat locker chill.

Ended up 1:1 most of the day after picking up my Rx yesterday. Lawn is back on about a 5 day repeat cycle.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's an overcast morning, clearing later.  This morning I am headed to the house of a newly met model railroader.  He is only 22 minutes away, which is easy on back roads.  I'll take the Z and hope for no showers.  

Work on the engine shed is progressing.  I broke one of the walls when sanding the bottom to even it out.  So while the glue was setting, I started working on the structures attached to the shed.  The windows are ready to glaze, so that is on the agenda.  The instructions on the kit aren't very good, so I had a heck of a time figuring out how the laser-cut parts fit together...

Current weather is 16c (60f) with the sun shining bright.  High is expected to be 23c (73f).  The Internet installer just left, we are now on fibre. 😊  Decided to change provider since the price was getting out of hand.    We also decided to drop cable as we don't watch it.  So our Internet/cable/home phone went from $310.00 to $95.00 per month.    Added bonus the speed is much quicker.
 
Yesterday was another day with no modeling as I worked longer than I planned to and the distractions continued.  Today's plan is to widen the tunnel to the staging yard.  The weekends plan is to connect the staging yard to the main layout.

Yeah, it seems once you get competition in internet providers, you should plan to switch every 3-5 years.  They get you with a 3 year introductory price, then it doubles at year 4.  I pay for a business account, that gives me a fixed IP address and all ports open (so I can run a publicly accessible website.)  It costs more, but I like the independence it gives me.  When the time comes to move, I just change the DNS entries from the old fixed IP address to the new ISP's fixed IP address.  In about 2 days, the DNS servers worldwide are updated and all is good... 

We're waiting for another provider to finish installing its fiber, then we'll "recompete" our internet service.  There'll actually be 3 providers, but I won't deal with Comcast.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/72.  Later 78.
Had dinner last night with Diane's youngest son and his wife.
They also bought us a new Samsung 55" TV.

Believe it or not I finished the 3rd wall.

Busy but yet not busy. Spending money on RTV and casting resin and another 3d printer.
I need to hunker down and focus on the side gig but it seems impossible because I like to run trains and build models. A big distraction.

The kitchen cooktop is installed and Gena bought another Ninja food processor.

A train show in Bowling Green today but that drive is out of my grid coordinates plus I lost my mojo after Tom Boisvert passed away. Haven't been to a show in 3 years. 

The grass is needing attention. About it from my foxhole.
