Morning all,

Headed to a high of 80 today, some clouds, some sun.

Ran trains a lot yesterday with the grandson, had a spot where short wheelbase locos stopped.  I thought it was a short, but it was a single dead turnout.  Both ends have metal joiners.  Weird.  I usually have a feeder to each rail, but I had removed one when I had to replace the Tortoise and that is probably why it had worked before.  Anyway, I added feeders to all the rails just in case and it's working again.

Yesterday was a perfect weather day, capped off with a mid-week Scotch Club.  Tow of our members had visitors, so the Laird o'the Malts called a special meeting.  There was a small amount of Macallan 15 that was our first taste.  Good stuff, but we agree not really worth the price.

More importantly, I decided the next project will be adding lighting on the other side of the dropped ceiling from the farm.  That's where my Lamson & Goodnow build goes, so once the lights are up, I'll start scenery across the back of that part of the layout.

Hope Tom is recovering from his "bumpectomy" on his head...

60s going to 70s with sun, at the moment, in Michigan.

Plenty to do.  Need to push myself to get going.

Be well all, enjoy the Grand's Jeff.  That time is fleeting.

Morning all,

Hot and humid here today. Mid 90's projected with a chance of rain. In other words, same old, same old.

I did get back to the workbench yesterday. A slow start, but a start nonetheless.

Dave - One of our fellow passengers introduced me to a new, well new to me, cocktail while on our trip. A B&B. Benedictine and Brandy with a twist of lemon. It's rather nice to sip on.

Have a great one!

Speaking of Benedictine....

Be glad you're not in Europe now!  It's supposed to hit 99 in Utrecht tomorrow (a friend is staying with family over there, their house has no A/C....)  Of course, I bet the boat has A/C, but still...

Good morning, all. Heading for 80F in the lower Merrimack Valley, overcast has replaced the early morning sun.  A Seashore friend gave me cheesesteak ingredients yesterday so last night I made my first for dinner. Turns out I've watched enough sub shop workers make them over the years; the result was quick and perfect IMO.

I've been string trimming nettle (never had it before 2nd wife bought hay from someone who had it) so wearing a coverall.  Time to change into shorts...
