Good Morning;

Coffee is on and the clubhouse is open for enjoyment. We are already in the 80's headed back to 90's. No rain yesterday but still need some. The wife will be out and about today so I should be able to get some work done on layout today.

It was great seeing the US win last night and make it to the next round. I think I am becoming a soccer fan for one simple reason, they have not figured out how to put in 2 hours of commercials so the game really is about 90 minutes long! We turned on the game at 8 pm and by a little after 9:30 it was finished! Love it! You actually get to watch a game!

Well off for my second cup of coffee hope everyone has a great day.

Hazy breezy sun in the UP. Temp climbing past 70 but humid. Florida humid.  :-[ there's a nice breeze, to temper it.

Road construction is in full blast up here, it took us an hour and a half to go 60 miles yesterday due to floggers holding up the traffic.

Stay safe all.

Travelers be careful.

Well, after several days of frustration with DirecTV, I can log in, but then I found out the channel list on their (Apple TV) app is NOT THE SAME as from our (currently not working) satellite.  So I told my wife, "You need to find alternatives for the channels you want to watch."

At least in the meantime, I can watch World Cup games on Fox, but I thought the coverage on Telemundo was actually better, even though I don't know what they're saying.  In particular, during the hydration breaks, Telemundo doesn't show commercials.   Hopefully my blood pressure will go down.  Dealing with crappy applications, crappy tech support, and crappy business practices just infuriates me, and of course when you call, you get an AI assistant that I have to tell MANY TIMES "representative" to get to a human (probably in India...)

Anyway...  Back to installing LED light strips.  I hope to finish that project today, then I can get back to actual modeling.

Afternoon all,

Not much going on here. Wife is busy putting together a photo album from the cruise. Counting down the days until next year's cruise (Amsterdam to Antwerp). I have eleven months to watch "A bridge too far".  ;D

Have a great one!

Huh...  I presume there's some stops further away than the direct distance from Amsterdam to Antwerp...   ;D

After hanging the last light strip, I started looking at shrubberies/saplings to run against the backdrops.  I found some cheap armatures and spray painted them, and also played a bit with some 'pine tree chenille' strips.  It's a welcome change from fighting electricity...

Speaking of "A Bridge Too Far":  As a ROTC cadet, I spent a couple weeks with an infantry company in 82 Abn.  We did a week of intensive training.  After we came back to garrison and everything was cleaned up and accounted for, we went to see "A Bridge Too Far" as a training film.

Dave,

It's Amsterdam - Hoorn - Rotterdam - Kinderdjik - Wesel - Nijmegen - Maastricht - Antwerp.

There are times spell check is useful. Typing that list was not one of them. ;D

Well, that covers most of the Netherlands.  But the only one of those I've been to is Amsterdam.  (I've been to Haarlem - great small city!, Den Haag, Zandwoort, Leiden and Delft, mostly on business/conference trips.)
