WOW RON       ..........I just went through your entire story/instruction photo/essay...       ....What a fantastic job   ... it's truly amazing to me how ya'll build this stuff.....I haven't any of the tools, or weights or clamps- (I've always just used CA)- or anything else that's needed to build one of these kits..the only kits I've ever even attempted were plastic     ....so I'm absolutely floored by what ya'll build......such beautiful work...WAY, WAY ABOVE MY PAY GRADE        ......fine work indeed.......

Kyle, this kit would be well within your abilities.  It goes together well.  There are a lot of steps, but the instructions are very good.

Kyle, Thank you very much and there is nothing wrong with plastic 

If you ever decide to try a wood kit, I would definitely recommend it.  You really don't need all the fancy tools to build this kit, I use them because I have them.

Time for another update, The dreaded

Part 13 - Nuts and washers




So, these are the pieces required to make the nuts, bolts and washers required for the attachment of the stringers to the bridge ties.   The instructions state "Go get an enormous mug of the strongest coffee you can find.  You are going to need it for this bit!"  Forget the coffee I would need a bottle of scotch for this step.     The instructions also state that he had planned to use Grandt Line casting but due to supply chain problems would have caused manufacturing delays.





The only parts I plan to use are the base plates which I assumed would be steel so I painted them "light Rust" (Vallejo's Panzer Aces #301) 





These are the NBW castings I used instead of making my own.  These are Tichy's castings, 4.5" washer, 2.5" Hex nut (#8270)





The base plates glued to the stringers on the first half of the bridge.

The rest of the NBW's glued in place.  I used thin CA for this step.

I will admit that using the NBW castings did not required any scotch to carry out this task, but one was has to celebrate a job well done.

That's a great looking turntable, Ron.  I don't envy you dealing with the NBWs.

Only 2 Dave.    The ones I used had bigger shanks so harder to lose.
