Howdy.

Many are saddened by the passing of Dolly Parton  :'(  Deepest condolences to all who loved her.

It's the middle of the week so it's all downhill from here.

I believe this structure here is my favorite on George Sellios' Franklin & South Manchester railroad.

Good morning.  Yes it's sad about Dolly's death.  Another American icon that you always heard her name growing up that is no longer with us. While at the hospital I took this photo of the Ayer mill clock tower. The dial on this clock is only a few inches smaller than that of Big Ben making it the 2nd largest in the world. The 2nd photo is a Jack Delano photo taken in the early 1940's

George often asks people what their favorite building is on the layout.

Morning all,

Dolly was a talent and a good person as well.  She'll be missed.  For us older folks, all the idols we grew up with seem to be passing, which is a sobering thought.

In a similar vein, our ex next door neighbor stopped by yesterday and told us about his wife's ordeal.  She was one of the first in Iowa to have Covid and has had breathing issues since.  Had a lung transplant in May and is doing well, but the story of their journey there and since (for instance having to take 32 pills a day now) was tough to hear.

Layout work continues.  Still can't find the electric knife.  It's the best thing I've found for cutting the 2 inch thick styrofoam.  I have a hot knife as well, but I don't like the fumes and it's not as quick.  I'll continue the hunt today.

Sun at the moment  8)  in Michigan with forecast of some storms later in the day a possibility.

Saw Dolly Parton perform several years go at an outdoor venue on campus at Michigan State.  One of the nicest personalities I ever had the pleasure to see.  It was a great, personable experience.  Also road a steam train at Dollywood in the way back machine, ex got ash in her eyes from the coal smoke.

The furnace fellow is coming today for an upgrade to the a/c unit.  $.

No other definite plans.  I have thoughts of some layout time.

I like most all of Sellios' layout that I've seen.  The building shown is great.

What a beautiful Corsair, Jeff
