Good Evening Folks;

Besides modeling I do a fair amount of stock research and investing. I took some time tonight to pull up Kader's numbers. Keep in mind this is a Hong Kong based business running under China law and frankly their financial reporting is shall we say 'loose'. The company's profit margins are in line for a business of this type but their operating expenses completely overwhelm the gross profits. Their detail breakdown of what these expenses are leave a lot to be desired but they took a jump a couple of years ago, no reason I can see why. The firm has been losing money for past four years but was at one time very profitable. The stock itself is a penny stock trading under .20 HK dollar at this point. So what is going on? Very hard to say. They had enough cash on hand to operate for about 6 months in their December report but they are still going so new funding must have been found or they have cut costs dramatically. Bachmann is a division and I saw no report on them in my quick review.

Bachman has released the On30 3bay hopper in 2026. See train world.

The new On30 Heisler was another low preorder and never released.   

The 2-8-0 low preorders, which they asked distribution to handle.
Nobody buys On30 direct from Bachmann or shops.

I wish I would have bought every On30 model Ray Cozza had for sale. I'd be in the islands with my toes in the sand. Average Porters were 35 bucks. They fetch a lot now and are solid runners.

I do remember Bachmann complaining about those tariffs 2025 (on the Heisler) 
A huge loss for the On30 crowd.

The morning beverages are at the end of the counter. Breakfast is cheesy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and/or pan sausage with hash browns.

Rick Happy 4th Anniversary for traveling; time flies when you're having fun. Hope all's well medically.

It's a cloudy 67 with a high of 75 with some rain. Work continues on Pratt's Cove trying to stay one step ahead of myself. Still waiting on the Buick but in no real hurry. That's about it from "my neck of the woods".

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and scrambled eggs. I meant to ask, is Pratt's Cove on fresh or salt water?

How's the rest of the crew?

Sharon arrived safely, and I finished yesterday's chores.  I was exhausted last night and slept nine hours.  I plan to wash the windows on the back of the house and the back porch.  The porch is dusty, to say the least.  I finally washed the Z yesterday, and it is ready for polishing. I'll put a coat of ceramic on it after that.  The engine shed work is progressing.  Assembling the roof is next on the task list.

Good morning, Larry, Mike and the rest of the early risers.  I've put more Baldwins, Black Oxfords and Beacons on the counter.

Philip, are you casting the oars because you need lots?  My first thought to make a few pairs is to put the end of appropriate diameter soft copper wire between two steel blocks and hammer the top block. Put a little radius on the corners of the blocks if you need a smooth transition from handle to blade.

Lots of paperwork and writing today, though this NH Seacoast morning looks lovely, high of 77F with sun till clouds and showers arrive this afternoon.

Thought I would stop by and see what is happening. Thanks for the breakfast, it is way more than I normally have! Central Florida is overcast this morning but you can feel just a tich of the coming fall in the air. I need to work with the advantage Heath Care company today, they are making changes so need to find out what is up. I have been working each day a little on the bench model, this one a pickle factory. I hope to get it done for the Sunshine Region NMRA convention. It would be the last needed for the AP Structures category I decided years ago to work towards. Well off for another coffee. Sounds like lots happening.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. Nice new chapter. I wonder what shenanigans they will get into next.

Started out with a walk at 76F and a light breeze which was a pleasant surprise. Yesterday I continued work on the saw table. I'm ready to start on the overhead components of the saw (motor, pulley, etc.).

Today I will be experimenting with the PCB etching fluid on the tin roofing. Should be interesting. At 2 pm I need to drop MOH off to pick up the van then take grandson to drop off his scooter for repair.

Last but not least, we rehomed one of the rescues yesterday.

My first toy poodle loved rides with dad in the truck.  But that's because she would sit on the passenger seat and watch me.  She wasn't interested in what was going on outside.  She was the -best traveler-.

I have a couple different projects to consider, including assembling my first laser test project, more trees, or trying to cut different materials in the laser.

Great point or make sure your vat is downwind from you and animals.

Thanks for the tip James! I hammer flattened round brass rod and then joined the oar handle with solder and a bead of solder along the paddle and then filed away the excess material into a somewhat presentable oar.

Sun and 70 s today in da Yoop. The deck is damp but no water in the gage.

Excursion yesterday took us to Germfask,  MI where we found Benny the Beard Fisher Troll  at a tourist trap it's an interesting character like those TomO mentioned a week or so back.

Germfask? How'd it get the weird name...they took the first letter of the last name of everyone in town and made a word out of it.

Rick I understand Star's joy at the van. My K-9 partner Wrangler would transform like Clark Kent when the phone rang for a call out. He'd all but knock me over to get going.  Once in HIS patrol car he was totally on duty. NO ONE got close to the car, even my family, without intense reaction from him.

Yes, LIONS football tonight. 1:1 here today.
